    Pang

Pang (Pawaret Sermrittirong)

Pang Pawaret Sermrittirong (Gifted ID: 060)
Played By: Nanon Korapat Kirdpan

"How can you be sure that if you do what you're told, you will have a bright future?"

  • Book Dumb: Before passing the Placement Exam he was a struggling student from Class VIII - the lowest class.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: Mind control is not a kind of power one would expect from an idealistic and kindhearted character like Pang.
  • Compelling Voice: His potential is a type of mind control. All he needs to do is feel someone’s heartbeat and make a command.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With Wave.
  • The Heart: Zig Zagged. He starts as an idealistic character, a loyal friend and someone who’s aware of systemic injustices. Despite this, certain circumstances occasionally lead him to take a more cold, calculated and utilitarian approach to dealing with problems. Yet he always seems to bring himself back to being the heart of the group. When Pang is at his lowest, this role tends to go to Ohm or Namtarn.
  • The Hero: He’s the story's main protagonist who remains strongly opposed to unfair hierarchies even after gaining privileges for himself.
  • Ineffectual Loner: Becomes this toward the end of the series.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: After realizing that he unwittingly used his mind control potential on Nac by making him hit his head repeatedly into a metal pole.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: He got Out-Gambitted by Supot even though he believed he was Crazy-Prepared for the final confrontation.

    Ohm

Ohm (Wichai Sai-Ngern)

Ohm Wichai Sai-Ngern (Gifted ID: 062)
Played By: Sing Harit Cheewagaroon

"I'm stressed over what we should celebrate next."

  • Accidental Theft: Teacher Pom’s wallet was one of the first victims of Ohm’s potential.
  • Class Clown: He’s quite confident in his comedic skills too. Wave is not amused, especially when he’s the target of Ohm’s jokes.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He’s funny and friendly most of the time, but when things get serious, his power always proves to be useful and almost impossible to counter.
  • Forgetful Jones: He has a tendency to forget and lose things.
  • Mind over Matter: His potential is a form of psychokinesis. He can make objects and humans disappear and bring them back by will.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: Most lighthearted character out of the bunch.
  • Psychic Nosebleed: It’s the side effect of using his potential.
  • Stealthy Teleportation: Advanced version of his power.

    Namtarn

Namtarn (Chayanit Prachkarit)

Namtarn Chayanit Prachkarit (Gifted ID: 057)
Played By: Lilly Apichaya Thongkham

"If you read history, Ohm, you will know that in every period there are always people in power who are not aware that they are responsible for social inequality."

  • Amateur Sleuth: She made it her mission to figure out what happened to Chanon and uncover Ritdha’s history.
  • Badass Bookworm: She’s smart, dedicated and good at using her power. And contrasting Pang and Ohm, her closest friends, she really enjoys reading.
  • Berserk Button: She’s a genuinely nice and friendly person, but she has no tolerance for procrastination and laziness. As someone with a health condition that can endanger her life, she values time and wants to spend it in a constructive and meaningful way. Pang and Ohm are often the targets of her criticism whenever they slack off or show a lack of motivation.
  • Curiosity Is a Crapshoot: Curiosity is her defining trait, but the more she uses her power to dig into The Conspiracy, the side effects get more dangerous.
  • Determinator: She’s motivated to reach her goals even at the cost of her health.
  • Nerds Love Tough Schoolwork: Seems very enthusiastic to learn about and develop her potential.
  • Psychometry: Her potential allows her to learn about past events by touching an object or a person.

    Wave

Wave (Wasuthorn Worachotmethee)

Wave Wasuthorn Worachotmethee (Gifted ID: 063)
Played By: Chimon Wachirawit Ruangwiwat

"If being friends with someone means changing your personality, I'd rather be alone."

  • Brutal Honesty: He doesn’t care if his remarks offend people or not.
  • The Cracker: Used his hacking abilities to force his fellow students to play a ‘game’ of his making.
  • Hot for Teacher: He had a crush on his former teacher. At that point in time, she was the only person who showed admiration for his intellect and who treated him with kindness. Which made the incoming betrayal more hurtful.
  • Intelligence Equals Isolation: He’s intelligent yet abrasive and arrogant, so much that all the other students formed a group chat without him. Which was a shockingly stupid decision, knowing that Wave is a technopath.
  • Never Be Hurt Again: The betrayal by his former teacher and love interest caused him to become cynical, rude and extremely competitive.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: He got his teacher fired after she stole his thesis and framed him for plagiarism.
  • Pet the Dog: He occasionally does random acts of service, like submitting a math report for Namtarn or buying food and drinks for Pang, but only after Namtarn started reaching out to him first, and Pang continued the Defrosting Ice King process.
  • Psychotic Smirk: Tends to do this when he outwits or embarrasses his classmates.
  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: His unfriendly demeanor is a result of severe trust issues caused by the events of the past.
  • Technopath: By touching electronic devices he can manipulate data and hack almost anything.
  • Techno Wizard: Even before he got his power, he was skilled in math and programming. Claire gave him the ‘Evil Wizard’ nickname.

    Claire

Claire (Irin Jaratpun)

Claire Irin Jaratpun (Gifted ID: 063)
Played By: Jane Ramida Jiranorraphat

"I always look forward and sometimes I forget about people around me. I forget who I am."

  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Subverted. While her attraction to a mysterious guy like Punn and rejection of Korn, a guy whose sincere emotion she could easily read, might imply a preference toward bad boys, it becomes obvious that she was charmed by the healthy parts of Punn’s split personality, instead of the dark ones.
  • Dance of Romance: Has one with Punn.
  • The Diva: She’s a member of the Drama Club and one of her main goals is to become famous.
  • Embarrassing Old Photo: An old, unflattering photo of hers got leaked for everyone to see, and a racy old video soon followed.
  • The Empath: Her power is a type of synesthesia which enables her to see one’s aura and associate the aura color with a certain kind of emotion.
  • Hidden Depths: When her embarrassing past footage got leaked, after the initial panic and rage, she dealt with it in an unexpectedly mature way. She’s also capable of admitting her wrongdoings, and does her best to not repeat her mistakes.
  • It's All About Me: She loves the spotlight, be it on stage or in real life. Before she Took a Level in Kindness she also loved exposing other Drama Club members’ secrets.
  • Lovable Alpha Bitch: Starts without the ‘lovable’ part, but evolves into a kinder person.
  • Oblivious to Love: Inverted. Thanks to her power, she was aware of Korn’s crush on her and rejected him even before he could confess.

    Punn

Punn (Punn Taweesilp)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/punn.jpg
Punn Taweesilp (Gifted ID: 059)
Played By: Gun Atthaphan Phunsawat

"You care about me? Nobody treats me nicely. No one! None! Never. Never... I'm just tired. I don't know what I'm doing."

  • Enemy Within: His paranoid, aggressive and suicidal personalities, whenever they become dominant.
  • Extracurricular Enthusiast: Always learning new skills, be it science or music or visual arts.
  • Flip Personality: Whenever a personality takes over, his expression and speech pattern changes.
  • Jack of All Trades: There’s nothing he’s bad or average at. But his fight with Mon has shown that when he copies another person’s potential, his skills are weaker than that of the original user.
  • Power Copying: His potential of fast learning and ability mastering makes him able to imitate other Gifted students’ potentials.
  • The Smart Guy: He’s highly intelligent and an academic achiever. He was the Head Student of the Gifted Class until his resignation.
  • The Perfectionist: Always pushes himself to the extreme.
  • Split Personality: His potential’s side effect can cause one of these four personalities to take over his default one: the leader, the paranoid, the aggressive and the suicidal personality.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: When some of his darker personalities assume control, he can become hostile toward his friends.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: If not for Claire’s intervention, his suicidal persona would have taken over.

    Mon

Mon (Patchamon Pitiwongkorn)

Mon Patchamon Pitiwongkorn (Gifted ID: 061)
Played By: Puimek Napasorn Weerayuttvilai

"I never thought that people in the Martial Arts Club would get along. Think about it, we kick each other, punch each other. We inflict pain on each other. But maybe it's because we go through this together, we love each other."

  • Action Girl: With her purely physical potential, it’s a given.
  • Apologetic Attacker: She only attacked Punn because of Wave’s blackmail and felt guilty after knocking him down.
  • Gym Class Hell: While she did her best to make Pang feel welcome, her potential’s side effect turned her gym class into what looked like a zombie apocalypse scenario.
  • Heartbroken Badass: Hearing hurtful words from her closest friends and her love interest almost made her lose the will to fight.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: The severe side effects made her want to get rid of her potential.
  • Passionate Sports Girl: Even before developing her potential she was a sports enthusiast, but she wasn’t outstanding in any particular sport.
  • Super-Strength: Super strength, enhanced agility and coordination make her excel in combat.
  • Technically-Living Zombie: Her side effect is quite severe. The pheromones her sweat produces while using her potential trigger irrational and aggressive behavior in people who get in contact with it.
  • True Companions: With the Martial Arts Club members. She’s closer with them than with the other Gifted students, and her relationship with Art has romantic undertones. She even skips classes of the Gifted Program in order to spend more time with her club mates. Her power’s side effect put these relationships to test.

    Korn

Korn (Thanakorn Gorbgoon)

"You see the value of dreams when you can't dream any more."

  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Before his power got activated, he wished to have more time for consuming media and engaging in hobbies.
  • Blessed with Suck: While his power might have seemed useful at the beginning, the inability to sleep has made him feel even more isolated since he has to spend the nights awake and alone.
  • Camera Fiend: He has a passion for photography and is often seen taking photos with an analogue camera. He is a member of the Photography Club.
  • Childhood Friends: With Claire.
  • Headphones Equal Isolation: He’s almost always wearing his headphones. Contrasting Wave whose isolation is caused by his deliberate antagonistic behavior, Korn is more of a natural introvert and a loner by choice.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: He wishes to get rid of his potential.
  • Love Makes You Dumb: Downplayed. He definitely let his guard down while in a relationship with Koi, and almost got the information about the Gifted Program leaked, but her reasoning and his skepticism about the value of the Program were bound to lead to morally ambiguous decisions.
  • On the Rebound: Subverted. While it was clear that he was still emotionally vulnerable after Claire’s rejection, his feelings for Koi were genuine.
  • The Sleepless: He’s unable to sleep or feel tired. It is implied, and then confirmed in The Gifted: Graduation that this is actually just the side effect of his real potential, which is Healing Factor.

    Jo and Jack

Jo and Jack (Chanet Saeliu and Chanuj Saeliu)

Jo Chanet Saeliu (Gifted ID: 065) and Jack Chanuj Saeliu (Gifted ID: 064)

  • Butt-Monkey: They tend to lose in competitive exams and fall for Ohm’s pranks.
  • Synchronization: They are able to respond to stimuli in sync. This potential often ends up being a disadvantage.
  • Twin Telepathy: They can use a Psychic Link to communicate.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: They tend to randomly disappear from the story, and are the only Class XV students that don’t have an episode focused on them.

Ritdha High School Staff

    Director Supot

Supot (Supot Chueamanee)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/supot_3.jpg
Director Supot Chueamanee
Played By: Bird Wanchana Sawasdee

"I would never let the life of a gifted kid be ruined by an ordinary student."

  • Above Good and Evil: His belief in a society where the strong and intelligent people are more deserving of resources and leadership is reflected in the school's strict hierarchical system. He allows, or even encourages those who he deems exceptional to break the bounds of conventional morality.
  • Affably Evil: He’s soft-spoken, cultured and well mannered. He considers the unethical practices done in Ritdha High School to be necessary.
  • Armor-Piercing Question: Loves shooting these at Pang, often successfully.
  • Bad Powers, Bad People: Contrast with Pang’s Bad Powers, Good People, since they have exactly the same potential.
  • Evil Mentor: To the Gifted students. He genuinely wants to help them perfect their powers, but pays more attention to those he sees as more talented.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Has has the power of mind control, but he’s often able to manipulate people even without using his power, thanks to his rhetorical skills.
  • Totalitarian Utilitarian: He created the Gifted Program and designed the Placement Exam as a way to select a group of students and develop their superhuman abilities. The extreme inequality his system creates does not seem to bother him at all.

    Teacher Pom

Mr. Pom (Porama Wongrattana)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pom.jpg
Teacher Pom Porama Wongrattana
Played By: Victor Chatchawit Techarukpong

"As a teacher, have you been disappointed by a student who didn't turn out the way you wanted, or disappointed by yourself for not being able to make them understand?"

  • Anti-Villain: Doesn’t appear happy to work for Supot, but doesn’t see an alternative either. He also seems to genuinely care about the students.
  • Brainwashing for the Greater Good: The most likely reason for using his powers. Often due to Supot’s orders.
  • Cool Teacher: He manages the Gifted class and helps the students through the process of discovery and development of their potentials. He’s dedicated, kind and protective of his students.
  • Hypno Pendulum: Prefers an old-school metronome, but a metronome app will also do the job.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: He only removes the exact memories he believes are needed to be removed. Those with erased memories are sometimes able to retrieve them after some time has passed.

    Head Administrator Ladda

Ms. Ladda (Ladda Ngamkul)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ladda.jpg
Head Administrator Ladda Ngamkul
Played By: Katreeya English

"I'm just a normal person who knows everything. That's all."

  • Badass Normal: She has a threatening presence and authority despite having no special powers.
  • Neutral No Longer: After quitting her job, she decided to help Pang in his fight against the director by providing him with information he needed. She didn’t show much faith in his success though.
  • Perpetual Frowner: She rarely has a friendly expression.
  • Stern Teacher: Wants to get the job done and rules followed. Isn’t popular among students due to her extreme enforcement of discipline.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: After years of working as the Head Administrator, she decided to leave Ritdha High School for good.
