In General
- All There in the Manual: The volume 14 extras
revealed that Okayado named every farm girl that appeared in the volume. This means forty new characters with names, capsule descriptions, and distinct appearances. - Gamer Chick: There's a few of them among the background characters, both a lively tabletop RPG session, and video gamers (handhelds were a popular way to pass the time when hooked up to the milking machines)
- Going Commando: Most of them wear a pair of overalls... and that's it. Cathyl wore a bikini underneath them in her first appearance, but went with this later.
- This is debatable. Since the Black Lily Ranch is specifically a dairy farm, it's a matter of practicality for the ladies to do without bras. It is demonstrated that at least three of the pan-fauns do have an interest in pantsu of the sexy lingerie variety.
- World of Buxom: With the exceptions of Ton and Cott, the Black Lily Ranch girls plus Cathyl and Merino are astonishingly proportioned. The least busty among them would be impressively curvy in a real-world context.
The Farm Owner
The owner of the Farm and Cathyl's boyfriend.
- Easily Forgiven: He forgives Cathyl for severely injuring him when she thought he was cheating on her.
- Interspecies Romance: He's in a relationship with a minotaur.
- Mistaken for Cheating: When Cathyl heard him repeating the (feminine) names of his sheep and cows, she assumed he was cheating on her (since Cathyl isn't very good with names).
- Nice Guy: As mentioned above, he forgives Cathyl for injuring him.
- No Name Given: So for, he has not received an official name.
Cathyl
A minotaur working on a farm.
- Amazonian Beauty: She is very muscular with some biceps that are just as impressive as her breast size. Her outfit consists of very tight overalls and a bikini with shows off quite a bit of skin and cleavage.
- Breast Expansion: Female minotaurs, whom already have huge breasts, can have their breasts become painfully swollen and even larger if they're not milked regularly. We see the aftermath of this with Cathyl whose breasts have become massive since her boyfriend hasn't been available to milk her.
- Facial Markings: She has black splotches beneath her eyes, looking almost like a permanent Blush Sticker.
- Fantastic Arousal: Being milked is very arousing, even orgasmic, for her; so she normally has her boyfriend do it as it would be too awkward to ask a friend. When she believes her boyfriend is cheating she opts for a stranger (Kimihito), since she won't likely have to face him again and she only wants it done to relieve the pain she is in from the milk building up, not for pleasure. The second time around however, it's purely because she enjoys it.
- Foreshadowing: The remark that she isn't good at remembering names ends up being this, as it led to a misunderstanding with her boyfriend.
- Hey, You!: Because she's bad with names, according to her. This leads to her thinking her boyfriend is cheating on her, because he was calling the names of the sheep on the farm, which she forgot.
- Hidden Heart of Gold: Most of the time Cathyl hides behind a cover of either hostility or aloofness. By contrast, near the end of the Dairy Arc she encourages Kimihito to go home, even though it would have been to her benefit for him to stay.
- Horned Humanoid: Typical of a minotaur.
- Interspecies Romance: She's in a relationship with her human host, the owner of the farm where she works.
- If It's You, It's OK: Kimihito did such a good job of milking her the first time, that she refuses to have a machine do it instead when he's around.
- Meaningful Name: Kyatoru/Cathyl is a mispronunciation of cattle, as in livestock, such as dairy cows. Not exactly a flattering meaning, but a meaning nonetheless.
- Muscles Are Meaningless: Averted. She's shown to be very strong, and while not exactly ripped her arms do show well-developed muscles.
- Oral Fixation: She's always seen with a stalk of grass hanging out of her mouth.
- Reluctant Fanservice Girl: While Cathyl necessarily accepts having to be milked, she emphatically does not appreciate being ogled.
- Spell My Name With An S: Is it Kyatoru or Cathyl? There's even some translations going with Cattleya.
- Statuesque Stunner: At 231 cm she's taller than even Tionishia, barely.
- Tsundere: Type A: She's a bit of a hothead, often squabbling with her boyfriend according to Merino in an omake, and she's quick to threaten to beat up Kimihito if she gets uncomfortable while he's milking her. But when making up with her boyfriend after their misunderstanding in chapter 33 she reveals a softer, shyer side.
- Cathyl could be considered a Bodere: Shy and easily embarrassed, and covering it with loud demonstrations of anger.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Tomboy to Merino's Girly Girl.
- Woman Scorned: When she thought her boyfriend was cheating on her, she severely injured him (such as punching him, kicking him, strangling him, and throwing him).
Merino
A pan faun working on a farm.
- Animal Eyes: She has rectangular pupils, like a sheep.
- Covert Pervert: Merino uses her milk to make pudding which she makes available for consumption. She then watches, usually covertly, and gets turned on. For what it's worth, Cathyl seems to think it's nothing to be alarmed about.
- Fantastic Arousal: Having her fleece sheared gets her excited, to say the least. Also, she uses her milk to make pudding and "enjoys" watching people eat it.
- Fauns and Satyrs: She calls herself a satyr, but she's more sheep than goat. A more accurate translation clarified her as a "pan faun", while satyrs were revealed to be their own species.
- Horned Humanoid: She has sheep horns.
- Love at First Sight: She is quite taken with the new farm worker, to say the least, when he compliments her. An omake reveals she gets him to shear her (intimate parts as well) not long after.
- Meaningful Name: Merino is a breed of sheep.
- Nice Girl: Unfailingly kind and polite to Kimihito, Cerea, and Papi during their visit.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Girly Girl to Cathyl's Tomboy.
- Vapor Wear: She isn't wearing anything under her overalls besides her own fleece.
Cott & Ton
A pair of barometz twins working on a farm.
- Eyes Always Shut: Even in their profile with Cathyl and Merino.
- Fauns and Satyrs: They aren't, they just resemble pan fauns.
- Horned Humanoid: They have cute little goat horns.
- Identical Twin ID Tag: They comb their hair over a different eye and their horns are curved in different directions. It's still not clear which of them is which; though their profile seems to imply Cott is the one with her horns pointing upwards, while Ton is the one with the downwards-pointing horns.
- Plant Person: Despite their resemblance to pan fauns, they are similar to dryads. Their "wool" is also actually cotton.
- Punny Name: Cott-Ton.
- Single-Minded Twins: They seem quite coordinated.
Mil
A minotaur working at the Black Lily Ranch.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Right up there with Merino in terms of a gentle personality, but she didn't hesitate to grab Saane by the head and carry her out of the room when said goat-girl tried to jump Kimihito while he's sleeping. Her profile makes a point of mentioning that she's scary when she's angry.
- The Ditz: According to Kimihito at least. Despite this, she has natural charisma and gets along with others easily.
- Love Confession: She doesn't say it outright, but the implications are clear when she gets right up close to Kimihito with a blush on her face and tells him: "Everyone here likes you. Of course I... like you..." How genuine she is being is unclear though, as the arc ends with her satisfied with getting milked by satyrs and not even bothering to say goodbye to Kimihito.
- Onee-sama: Kimihito describes her as being everyone's big sister.
- Spell My Name With An S: Mil or Miru?
Chizu
A minotaur working at the Black Lily Ranch.
- Brutal Honesty: She's incredibly blunt and straightforward, with almost zero brain-to-mouth filter to boot. She takes it upon herself to narrate in minute detail how much she likes Kimihito milking her, providing in depth descriptions of every sensation she gets much to his embarrassment.
- Innocent Fanservice Girl: Chizu sees no issues with having Kimihito milk her, and is entirely willing to disrobe with little or no warning.
Cara
A minotaur working at the Black Lily Ranch.
- Face of a Thug: She's not ugly by any stretch, but she constantly has a stony expression on her face. Kimihito thought she didn't like him at first, but learned later that she's just really shy and delicate.
- The Quiet One: Doesn't talk much. A capsule description in an omake says she has a speech disorder.
- Shrinking Violet: She's almost as shy as Urt, perhaps even more so as she has difficulty even talking to people.
Urt
A minotaur working at the Black Lily Ranch.
- "No Peeking!" Request: She can't make eye contact with Kimihito before, after, and especially during milking. This touches on Reluctant Fanservice Girl.
- Shrinking Violet: Incredibly shy.
- Spell My Name With An S: Is it Lute or Ruto? The official translation is Urt.
Cream
A minotaur working at the Black Lily Ranch.
- A-Cup Angst: Relatively speaking. She's bothered that she is underdeveloped by minotaur standards, with 99 cm J-cup breasts that are "only" as big as her head.
- Breast Expansion: At the end of the farm arc she tells Kimihito that the breast massages he gave her actually increased her bust. In chapter 71 she has a brief appearance that suggests her bustline has indeed grown.
- The Napoleon: She's pretty aggressive and pushy, eager to throw her weight around and remind Kimihito that she's technically his boss. It's almost painfully obvious she's doing it to mask her insecurity over her size, both vertically (185 cm tall) and chest-wise.
Saane
A satyr working at the Black Lily Ranch.
- Bedmate Reveal: Sneaks into Kimihito's bed in an attempt to have her way with him.
- Everyone Has Standards: Like the other satyrs, she draws the line at being milked by her own kind, apparently it is just something that satyrs find disconcerting and they would rather have a man do it. This puts them in a bit of a sexually frustrating bind when Kimihito leaves and they are left with no one but themselves who have good breast massaging techniques. They consider trying to get Kimihito back but reject the idea when they realize the rest of the farm girls still desire his touch. Not wanting to lose their current monopoly on the fauns and minotaurs, they begin scheming to get some other men to live on the farm.
- Extreme Libido: She has a high libido even by Satyr standards.
- Hidden Heart of Gold: To an extent. At the end of the Black Lily arc, only Saane joined Cathyl and Merino in saying good-bye to Kimihito, at which time she expressed gratitude for helping put the satyrs in charge of the ranch. It didn't really make up for the string of embarrassments she inflicted on him, but it's there.
- Karmic Misfire: Her libido finally gets her (and her flunkies) in a rather embarrassing position when Meamil shows up at the farm. She and the other Satyresses ended up drinking Meamil's milk and wound up brainwashed by its hormones. Unfortunately, as Kimihito shows, they probably didn't even remember what had happened when the hormones wore off, it was the minotaurs who were stuck caring for them, and considering these are Satyresses we're talking about they probably wouldn't be too off-put by what had happened.
- The Leader: She's in charge of the Satyresses living at the Black Lily Ranch.
- Lovable Sex Maniac: Her profile describes her as having the highest libido on the ranch and it shows. 'Loveable' may be debatable, though: as detailed under Bedmate Reveal she's not overly concerned with the whole 'mutual consent' thing...
- Meaningful Name: "Saane" comes from "Saanen" a species of goat known to be highly productive of milk.
- Sex Goddess: She is very skilled at pleasuring others, after having learned the manual milking session which allows her to incapacitate Mil in her Minotaurs just by fondling them until they collapsed from the orgasmic pleasure.
