Saint Joan Of Arc

Voiced by: Michiko Neya (JP, Axis Powers), Hekiru Shiina (JP, The Beautiful World), Dana Schultes (EN)

  • Reincarnation Friendship: In volume 4, France gets to meet and befriend a young girl named Lisa... who is implied to be Joan's reincarnation. A translation cam be found here, and it's clear from France's statement "When I first saw you, I thought God was pulling a cruel trick on me, but I see you're living a happy life. It seems like my wish has been granted," that he cared for her deeply at the very least.

King Frederick II of Prussia aka Old Fritz

Now, now... You know you're not supposed to rely on me, follow through with your own strength.

  • Cultured Warrior: Playing flute while on a military campaign, and being displeased about Prussia spitting tea on his new garments.
  • Doting King:
When Old Fritz was around he would always praise how I could do anything well...
  • Forgotten Fallen Friend: Completely and utterly Inverted. While Prussia is the most self-centered character west of Korea, he keeps remembering Fritz for the rest of his life and stays emotionally invested in him in a way no other nation-tan is in a human, France and Jeanne perhaps aside. Justified Trope, as the more or less artificial Prussia's nationalism had to be created from scrap and was greatly built on Friedrich the Great and his victorious wars.
  • Guardian Angel: Prussia believes he is "kindly looking down on me from Heaven". Once he in a sort of prayer-like manner asked the long gone Fritz to watch over his "masterplan", and at other point when preparing to go to sleep again asked him to watch over him, almost as vespers. Additionally, Frederick often called himself the "first servant of the state".
  • Mentor Occupational Hazard: Mentors Prussia, dies. Being a mortal does that to you.

Queen/King Christina of Sweden

Agrippina, Nero's mother

Cleopatra VII Philopator

  • '20s Bob Haircut: As a way to show her status and chosen by Himaruya as a way to distancing himself from different sources and historians about her looks. An artistic choice, basically.

Savonarola

  • Knight Templar / Well-Intentioned Extremist: Wants to help Chibitalia end the government and the Church's degradation, but ends up destroying many works of art, or, as he calls it, "embodiments of greed and desire".

Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm

Napoleon Bonaparte

  • All of the Other Reindeer: Napoleon's education in France was not easy, due to his Corsican roots (French people around him generally mocked his Corsican traits and accent, as well as him not speaking French at first). He returns to Corsica, in the hopes of helping the Corsican independentist cause, but its leader rejects him, considering him to be too French. While feeling alienated after returning to France, he strikes a friendship with France, who considers him to be talented after watching his 'mock battles' at the military academy he was at.
  • Never Accepted in His Hometown: Bonaparte and his family had to leave Corsica and go to France shortly after his meeting with Pasquale Paoli, due to his people's (wrong) assumption that he was a French spy seeking to undermine the Corsican independentist.
