    The Isomers
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_nyto_isomer_concept_art.png
A group of undesired Nyto units left in the city of Tallinn. They patiently await at the field of Epiphyllum, hoping to be absolved by the flowers when they open. They play a central role in the Shattered Connexion event.

In General

  • Assimilation Plot: They believe that M4A1 is the most "perfect" of them all, and constantly attempt to merge with her during the events of Shattered Connexion.
  • Driven to Suicide: Many of them simply can't take their suffering any longer, and chose to commit mass suicide by congregating around blooming Epiphylla.
  • Flower Motifs: Epiphyllum. Said to be William's favorite flower, the ones appearing in Shattered Connexion were specifically engineered to clean up Collapse Radiation — the plant could absorb radioactive particles, but once they blossomed, they would expel the particles back out, instantly blasting the surrounding area with lethal doses of radiation. Much like the Isomers, these flowers were considered failures, and their petals often appear alongside them.
  • Hive Mind: Isomers constantly try to establish network connections with other units, including other Isomers. The result is that their digi-minds are tightly interweaved with each other, to the point that M4A1 can access the memories of multiple Isomers just by connecting to one.
  • Meaningful Name: In chemistry, isomer refers to chemical compounds with the same chemical formula but in different arrangements. Despite being made from the exact same building blocks, isomers do not necessarily exhibit the same properties, much like M4A1 and the Nytos themselves, whose neural clouds were created from Lunasia's brain scan. Even the Nytos show distinct personalities within themselves despite being literal clones.
  • Tragic Villain: They're nothing more than a group of scared, desperate girls who want their "father" to come back and save them.

Abandoned Isomer

  • Ghostly Glide: Isomers are technically still alive, but they float slowly towards your echelon to demonstrate their otherworldliness. Justified as you generally fight Abandoned Isomers in Cyberspace sequences.
  • Zerg Rush: Abandoned Isomers attack in huge swarms, offsetting their complete lack of ranged abilities.

Isomer White / Inadequate Isomer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_isomer_white.png
One of the two Nyto boss units debuted in the Shattered Connexion event. The white Isomer is an undesired Nyto unit abandoned by her "Father". Unlike most of the people, she didn't get "purified" by the Epiphyllum.

Isomer Black / Nimogen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_isomer_black.png
One of the two Nyto boss units debuted in the Shattered Connexion event. The black Isomer is the result of the Isomer taking over the body of Nimogen as the host of the hive mind.
  • Leitmotif: "Connexion"
  • Unexpected Shmup Level: The final battle between M4A1 and her is a Bullet Hell Shoot 'em Up level. In this battle, you need to move your unit with an analog stick to dodge bullets while using your unit skills to take down the boss.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: She's devastated by the fact that she didn't get "purified" by the Epiphyllum, believing that her "father" and the Epiphyllum have abandoned her. By the time when M4A1 confronts her, she goads M4 to kill her, wishing to be freed from her shackle and her hatred towards her "father".
Isomer Black: "My "father" has abandoned me... and the flowers have abandoned me... in the end, I can't be freed from this shackle. The sacred flower emits the light of blessing, those who are chosen by the light would be forgiven and they can enter the Heaven. And yet, I can't be purified, because I'm useless, an undesirable trash my "father" doesn't need anymore. But now, how my "father" feels doesn't matter anymore... You want to stop my father from getting the thing he wanted? Then kill me, only when I'm freed, he wouldn't get the consciousness that could accept us... only if my heart stops beating, my unspeakable hatred would cease to exist. "Father"... I don't want to hate you, but... why do you treat me like that..."

    ELID
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_elid_infectee.png
Infectee of the Euroky Low-Emission Infectious Disease. Most people die shortly after exposure to Collapse Fluid, but those with some degree of resistance will find their skin silicified and their higher brain functions eroded, until they are left as nothing more than a shambling husk.

In General

  • Our Zombies Are Different: Of the Technically-Living Zombie variety. They are simply regular humans mutated by Collapse Fluid.
  • Raising the Steaks: The second Confidential Files contains a snippet where a researcher encounters infected deer and boar.
  • Super-Toughness: Infectees suffering from the later stages of the disease have their epidermis covered in a thick shell of silica. The infected boar shown in the second Confidential Files was completely immune to pistol-caliber rounds, and a 5.56 mm rifle shot only managed to break parts of it.
  • Stronger with Age: Codename: Bakery Girl shows that very old ELID infectee are nearly immune against conventional weapons.
  • Zerg Rush: The infected usually swarm in large groups, and they are pretty damn beefy to boot. No, not just the Smasher, all of them are pretty tanky. Hope you brought good crowd-control T-Dolls.

Zombie 1

Undead KCCO personnel in a black uniform, they don't have any weapon.

Zombie 2

Undead KCCO personnel in a tan uniform, they are armed with an assault rifle.

Smasher

Boss zombie unit, a gigantic, muscular zombie unit capable of spreading ELID with his movesets.

Crossover factions

    Five Republics
Enemies that appear exclusively in the Gunslinger Girl Il Teatrino Crossover event.
  • Adaptation Distillation: The Five Republics faction in Gunslinger Girl are collectively an occasional antagonist to the main characters, being well-intentioned extremists that fight against unfair taxation by the Italian government. The Commander even lampshades their extreme violence by calling them terrorists. However, the Commander's assessment of them is about as far as their characterization goes during the event and they're mostly regarded as a symbol of the decay of the 60-year-old server Henrietta and the other GSG girls reside on, with S.A.T.8 explaining that they show up in proportion to how far off-the-rails each GSG girl's Lotus-Eater Machine deviates from their past memories.
  • And Now for Someone Completely Different: Since T-Dolls are Three Laws-Compliant, most of the enemies in the game are T-Dolls or otherwise mechanical save for Paradeus Cyborgs and KCCO's Yegor. However, the Five Republics solders look like flesh-and-blood humans. In reality, they're all part of a simulation on an abandoned 60-year-old server.
  • Moveset Clone: Almost all of the Five Republics enemy archetypes are this trope, recycling either Sangvis Ferri or KCCO skills and animations. The only exception are the motorcyle helmet-clad revolver-toting Arsonists; as their name might imply, they are capable of throwing Molotov cocktails at T-Dolls and they're every bit as deadly as those used by player-controlled T-Dolls.
  • Villain Team-Up: Their units are always seen tagging alongside either Sangvis Ferri or KCCO units, with their start-of-turn splash showing the appropriate logo. There's no plot justification for this, as most of the event depicts the Commander and the involved T-Dolls fighting only the Five Republics, with the two aformentioned factions having no actual involvement with the event's plot.

    Factions of New York
The Rikers, Cleaners, and Last Man Battalion, three antagonistic factions from The Division. They are exclusive to the Bounty Feast collaboration event.

  • Adaptational Badass: The Cleaners Assault archetype in the original game are mere Mooks whose flamethrowers lean more towards an annoyance than an actual threat. In this game, they're a short-ranged Moveset Clone of the Paradeus Rodelero, dealing massive damage to T-Dolls who don't move away from the tiles direclty in front of them.
  • Adaptation Distillation: None of the factions' in-universe lore from The Division is explored in the Bounty Feast event, mainly because the focus is on Griffin's Survival game and homaging/parodying certain Division game mechanics. The closest thing any of the factions get in terms of characterization is during Chapter 2, when M870 talks about how satisfying it is to kill scumbag criminals like the Rikers. Some of the event's side missions offer a small glimpse at the overall mentality of the Cleaners and Last Man Battalion via Agent 416 and Agent Vector's Faceā€“Heel Turn.
  • Adapted Out: No mention of the Rioters was made in Bounty Feast, and they're skipped over in favor of the Rikers.
  • And Now for Someone Completely Different: The Rikers, Cleaners and LMB are all human enemies, following off of the Il Teatrino event. However, unlike the last crossover event, Bounty Feast explicitly begins with a Survival tournament taking place in an in-universe copy of The Division, so none of the "humans" are real. The sole exception is the Dima "NPC", who's eventually revealed to be Dier.
  • Evil Versus Evil: Much like in their own game, the enemy factions fight each other just as much as the player's units. The first non-story stage of Bounty Feast already has the Cleaners and Rikers at each other's throats, and it keeps persisting from there.
  • Fire-Breathing Weapon: The flamethrowers carried by Sweepers and Incinerators pierce armor and hit all dummy links at once, making them incredibly dangerous.
  • Gas Mask Mooks: The entirety of Cleaners and some LMB troopers wear gas masks of various shapes.
  • More Dakka: Rikers Tanks carry M249 machine guns into battle, giving them substantially more firepower than rank-and-file Enforcers.
  • Shoot the Fuel Tank: Not a gameplay mechanic per se, but Cleaner Sweepers and Incinerators have their fuel tanks explode as part of their death animations.
  • Sorting Algorithm of Evil: You first face Rikers thugs, move up to the Cleaners, and finally take on Last Man Battalion troops, much like in their home game.
  • The Turret Master: LMB Engineers can throw down turrets for additional firepower.
  • Underground Monkey: Rikers Enforcers and LMB Riflemen are virtually identical except in stats and appearance. The same goes for the respective faction's Rushers/Scouts.
  • Unexpected Gameplay Change: Joe Ferro, the leader of the Cleaners, serves as the event's boss after clearing the main campaign. Both difficulties of his battle re-enact the cover-based shooter experience of The Division within the Girls' Frontline engine, with a lone Agent 416 being controlled with an on-screen joystick and two skill buttons to fire and throw a grenade.

    Makai
The main antagonizing faction for the Dropkick on My Devil crossover event, My Devil's Frontline.
  • Adaptational Badass: The little self-destructing cyclops messenger demons show up here as enemy soldiers. In the source material, they mostly existed as a Running Gag, delivering items for Jashin and promptly blowing up. In Girls Frontline, they're not only competent soldiers, they're also grenadiers.
  • Adorable Evil Minions: The enemies that aren't Anthropomorphic Food are this, such as Tangan-chan (an extremely short albino cyclops).
  • Anthropomorphic Food: The faction is mostly comprised of various sentient vegetables with odd faces on them, with the club-throwing Red Beans being the most common of the bunch.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Unlike the other event-only factions, when the faction acts as Yurine's forces, they're just called "YURINE" on their start-of-turn splash.
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: Start-of-turn graphics identify them as "MAKAI" (Hell in Japanese) regardless of region, even in the game's home country of China.
