One half of the Nightbloods' "Twin Executioners" alongside her older twin sister Melfice. She has an elegant aura to her that's exemplified by her innate sickly nature, a trait unusual among the Souls. She and her sister joined the Nightbloods in order to gain access to connections and knowledge that they need to find a cure, but perhaps said cure has appeared in front of them after all these years...
  • Delicate and Sickly: She uses her illness to prop herself up as a low-key, refined, and stoic young lady, to deliver contrast to Melfice's energetic and bratty personality.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Bryce is the "blue" to Melfice's "red". She's the Delicate and Sickly twin who's rather mid-mannered and gentle, with a rather quiet voice and rational thinking to match, compared to Melfice being an energetic Bratty Half-Pint whose arrogance matches her great combat strength, while being driven by her emotions at certain times.
  • Shared Unusual Trait: Heterochromia, a trait she shares with Melfice. She has a yellow right and red left eyes, in contrast to Melfice's red right and yellow left eyes.
  • Soap Opera Disease: She suffers from an unknown disease that she was born with, one that makes her notably weaker than her twin sister, which leads to her getting used to "dying" and resurrecting very often. It's the reason why the two of them joined the Nightbloods: that organization has the connections and backlog of information they need to research for potential clues and cures. The Savior also helps in their research once they become contracted to him. Turns out her illness is a malfunction of her ANIMA, which is exacerbated by her Undead nature of rapid regeneration healing the damaged ANIMA instead of actually repairing it. In order to cure her, she would need an invasive surgery coupled with blood transfusion from the Savior due to said surgery requiring an amplified contract between the two of them, which plagues Bryce with uneasiness because it could potentially endanger the only life of the Savior of Eden just for a single Soul who can live forever. Depending on your choices, she can either end up: rejecting the procedure and decide to spend her last waking moments with the Savior by her side, promising to come back within his lifetime (Bad) or taking the chance and recovering (Normal and True).
  • Twin Threesome Fantasy: Both her and Melfice are in love with the Savior and don't mind sharing him with one another, a fact best exemplified by both twins' Normal and True Endings invoking this trope in full. In Bryce's Normal Ending in particular, she's spurred on by Melfice to confess first in order to celebrate her recovery, while in her True Ending, she has the Savior swear an eternal oath to make the both of them happy in a wedding-like scenario within an abandoned cathedral the twins found.
  • Vampiric Draining: Seems to develop an urge for the Savior's blood after a certain incident where she saw him slightly wounded. In Episode 5 of her Love Story, she ends up biting him, leaving her horrified at what she'd done once she regained her wits. This event could be considered canonical since it does get mentioned in Town dialogue once that episode is cleared. It's eventually revealed that the Savior's blood is one part of what's needed to cure the illness, so it could be her body acting on impulse, knowing the cure is right next to her.
  • What Is This Feeling?: She never really understands why she has fuzzy feelings and slightly possessive thoughts whenever she thinks of the Savior. In her Normal Ending, Melfice had to tell her the obvious, following it up by saying that she knows because she's in love with him too. Both her Bad and True Endings have her realize without Melfice's help.

    Garnet
Rarity: Epic -> Origin+5
Title: Sweet Blindness
Height: 158cm
Birthday: 6/22
Hobbies: Decorating Carrot
Specialty: Location tracking
Likes: Carrot, knee socks
Dislikes: Uncontrollability, untidiness
Voiced by: Garyeong Kim (Korean), ??? (Japanese)
A seemingly-innocuous girl lugging around a big stuffed animal who's actually an elite agent within the Nightbloods. She fell for the Savior at first sight and will do anything to keep his eyes looking at her and only her.
  • Alice Allusion: She wears an Alice-inspired outfit for her True Ending costume, complete with Carrot turning into the Cheshire cat.
  • Alone with the Psycho: She takes the Savior into her secret manor in Episode 7 of her Love Story, cut off from the outside, and Mephi and Carrot trapped with her as dolls. Then she tells him to play with her. How horrific this gets depends on the ending that comes after.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: She always takes with her a sizable stuffed rabbit she refers to as "Carrot". She also implies that she's alive and is possessive of her in her Love Story, which does get shown properly when she fights and in her summon animation.
  • Non-Indicative Name: She's classified as an "Undead Soul" but nothing about her screams "undead". If anything, she'd fit with the "Humanlike" crowd more, especially when compared to other Souls within her own faction who actually look like they're undead. Her Toy Transmutation power is what qualifies as Undead, which lets her stuff souls into her dolls not unlike a Necromancer.
  • Toy Transmutation: It's revealed later in her Love Story that she can inflict this unto others, as Carrot is actually a Soul who ran afoul of Garnet, got "killed", and had her core shoved into a magically-imbued stuffed rabbit with its lips stitched shut, rendering her unable to resurrect to her humanoid form or get help while stuck being a stuffed toy. Carrot's subsequent dialogue has her warn the Savior that he himself may end up becoming one of Garnet's stuffed toys if ever he does something to anger her.
  • Yandere: Falls for the Savior at first sight all because he either let her under his umbrella or lent her his raincoat (depending on what the player picks) when it rained in Arkenine one day. As a result, she wants to known everything about him and make him look at her and only her, and she will do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. Case in point, in Episode 7, she ends up "killing" Mephi in her Love Story. No, this isn't tied to whatever ending you end up getting, she kills her during the common route. Even worse, the Savior never seemed to notice that Mephi was just gone from his life all of a sudden.

One half of the Nightbloods' "Twin Executioners" alongside her younger twin sister Bryce. She portrays herself to be completely annoying and arrogant, earning her many enemies along the way. She and her sister joined the Nightbloods in order to gain access to connections and knowledge that they need to find a cure, but perhaps said cure has appeared in front of them after all these years...
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Her entire shtick is getting under other Souls' skins while showing off the abilities that can match said arrogance. She also uses this as a defense for her Tsundere-like behavior towards the Savior.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Melfice is the "red" to Bryce's "blue". She's the energetic Bratty Half-Pint whose arrogance matches her great combat strength, while being driven by her emotions at certain times, while Bryce is the Delicate and Sickly twin who's rather mid-mannered and gentle, with a rather quiet voice and rational thinking to match.
  • Twin Threesome Fantasy: Both her and Bryce are in love with the Savior and don't mind sharing him with one another, a fact best exemplified by both twins' Normal and True Endings invoking this trope in full.

Birthday: 4/23
Hobbies: Being absent-minded, collecting shiny things
Specialty: Digging, navigating in the dark
Likes: Shiny things, pranks
Dislikes: Restraint, coercion
Voiced by: Minjeong Yeo (Korean), Himika Akaneya (Japanese)
A gravekeeper who appears to have the ability to talk to spirits. She's also a habitual prankster, often seen messing with other Souls for her entertainment.
  • I See Dead People: Has the ability to see and talk to spirits, which is pretty on-brand for the Soul of an incense capable of communicating with the dead.
  • I Work Alone: While being an Aloof Ally at best due to being part of a mercenary team, she does manifest this in gameplay through her "Fickle Gravekeeper" passive, which grants two different buffs depending on the situation: the "Lonely Gravekeeper" buff, which gives her increased defense as long as she's the only one fighting in the frontlines, and the "Gravekeeper's Bonds" buff, which gives her increased attack if she has at least one fellow close-ranged ally fighting with her. The latter is typically not great for her as she's a tank character that relies on survivability and main skill frequency to be really effective.
  • Only in It for the Money: Her primary motivator for being a mercenary. If it doesn't involve any coin, she will not get involved. A great example of this is in the summer event "Wicked Vacation" where she had to be bribed by the Savior to help in tracking down Vivienne's whereabouts after stealing Soonie's Turtle Ship's Mana battery. This also extends to anything shiny.
  • Pointless Band-Aid: She has bandages that cover her left eye, but it seems to be totally functional when she gets them unwrapped during her Ultimate skill and in her swimsuit costume.
  • The Prankster: Despite appearing as The Stoic, she has a penchant for pranking and messing with people around her.
  • Shovel Strike: Her weapon of choice, coupled with a purple lantern that contains a number of spirits she has captured that help her in stealing HP from frontliners and generating shield HP for the whole team.
  • Sinister Scythe: Her shovel transforms into one in her Ultimate skill, which she uses to attack all enemies on screen and siphon their HP into her.

Rarity: Common
Title: Silent Patience
One of the four generic Souls the Savior ends up summoning in his first campaign. She is the other supporter of the bunch, using magic from afar to attack her enemies whole inflicting status effects on them.

Title: Doll of Destruction
Artifact: Gáe Bulg

Birthday: 7/20
Hobbies: Collecting small screws
Specialty: Self-maintenance
Likes: Functional oil
Dislikes: Defects, breakdowns
Voiced by: Bohee Lee (Korean), Kyouka Moriya (Japanese)
A robot-like Soul found in the Forgotten Ruins, guarding the secrets within. Her odd personality has made some Souls see her as an adorable Soul who would benefit from socialization.
  • Back Stab: Her first action in battle is to rush to the enemy farthest from her and attack them from behind while cloaked for a few seconds. Combining this with a higher-rarity version of her Artifact can make her much more fearsome due to it raising her attack power within the first 30 seconds of a battle, but this also makes her very situational to use as she becomes very vulnerable once that invisibility wears off.
  • Evil Doppelgänger: Has one in the form of the Doomsday Doll.
  • Kick Chick: Her main combat style. She has blades installed on the back of her lower legs that she can use to slice and dice her opponents in close range.
  • Robot Girl: Much like Mephistopheles, she's an artificial Soul created to guard the Forgotten Ruins. Unlike Mephi though, she's more obviously mechanical in nature and much more stoic.

The Doomsday Doll

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1685029050524_copy_1616x1867.png
A version of Jacqueline from another timeline where the Savior never came to Eden. Believing that peace can only be achieved by power, she shut off her emotions to become the ultimate killing machine...
  • Evil Doppelgänger: To Jacqueline. She's essentially Jacqueline on overdrive, having much faster attack speeds and wider attack range that allows her to damage multiple Souls ganging up on her at once.
  • Meaningful Name: As the Doomsday Doll, bonus points to her for having her skill names be references to computer programming that also relates to her dark nature.
    • The Main Skill name "rm -rf" is a Linux command used to forcefully remove a given directory, which can destroy the OS when not used properly,
    • The Subskill name "NullPointerException" is a Java runtime exception when a program tries to access an object that contains a null value,
    • The Subskill name "1011100111001100" is binary code for "KILL",
    • The Subskill name "404 Not Found" already speaks for itself, and
    • The Subskill name "6rWs7JuQ7J6QLi4=" is base64 for the Korean text that translates to "Savior..."

    Otoha
Rarity: Epic -> Origin+5
Title: Designer of Darkness
Artifact: Ame-no-Habakiri
Height:
Birthday:
Hobbies:
Specialty:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Voiced by:
A fashion designer hailing from Gaon, who specializes in "bloody cute" fashion. Her calm yet stoic appearance hides a rather unique perspective and a dark secret...
  • Chainsaw Good: Dual wields a pair of chainsaws that become scissors when "fused" together, and despite her stoic and uncanny mannerisms, she is ultimately an ally. Her evil double is the very opposite of this though...
  • Literal Split Personality: She has a psychotic version of herself — a part of her ANIMA that was excised from her body — sealed within a stone somewhere in Gaon. During the events of her Love Story, said self managed to break out of the seal due to the Savior's Soul Mastery unconsciously repairing Otoha's damaged ANIMA and unleashes a streak of serial killings in Arkenine. She was doing this in order to take her victims' Soul Stones to the Savior and gain his love by "impressing" him. At the climax of the Love Story, a confrontation between the real and the "fake" Otoha happens. Depending on the choices you made along the way, one of these three scenarios may happen:
    • The Price of Sin: Otoha tries to confront her evil self alone, but not before knocking the Savior out to keep him out of this. He manages to regain consciousness though and catches up with her. Him favoring the real Otoha sets off the "fake" one though and she ends up murdering him in anger. Feeling responsible for his death, Otoha turns herself in to Claire and Linzy, who had arrived way too late to save him...
    • How to Co-Exist: The Savior and Otoha hatch a plan to redirect the "fake" Otoha's target from innocent Souls to the real Otoha by way of the Savior declaring that she will have his love if she takes down the real Otoha. With her target switched, both Otohas are now practically stuck in a never-ending battle against each other, but at least no more innocents will have to die.
    • Still By Her Side: The Savior tells Otoha that she should look into the root problem of all this, which she states is her feelings of inadequacy. Said feelings led her to believe she would be praised and loved more by killing more than she already has, which led her to also think that she could just solve the problem by separating those feelings from herself. The Savior assures her that he will always be by her side, that she has to accept herself for who she is, and that they should try confronting the "fake" Otoha peacefully. The Savior then assures the "fake" by saying that he will still love her even if she couldn't fight and kill. After a bit of talking between both sides, the "fake" merges with the real one, giving Otoha her emotions back.
  • Racial Transformation: Revealed in her Love Story. Long before the events of the game, she was once a Humanlike Soul training with Aki to be swordswomen, with her specializing in dual wielding. After realizing that she has a thirst for carnage as a result of both an assumed damage to her ANIMA and an unexplained sense of inadequacy, she undergoes a procedure that would separate her "good" side from the "bad". As a result, her emotions were partially suppressed and her Soul type changed to an Undead, but she was free from the darkness that was plaguing her... Or at least that was what she thought.

    Velanna
Rarity: Epic -> Origin+5
Title: Rose Poison
Artifact: Clarent
Height: 175cm
Birthday: 11/4
Hobbies: Secret
Specialty: Snake breeding
Likes: Private space
Dislikes: Variables
Voiced by: Yeonji Bang (Korean), ??? (Japanese)
A mysterious Soul who seems to be after the Savior's life, scathingly seeing him as a deceiver and a liar. The Savior is interested in why she has this mindset though, despite the clear attempts on his life...
  • The Baroness: She's as cold as she is sadistic in battle, projecting far more of the edginess towards the Savior. In her third bond episode, Rebecca remarks that she 'smells' like winter, someone who "lived a life like snow that had never melted very much, frozen all the time".
  • Bookworm: She likes to read books and recite poetry. Her fifth bond episode implies this is a way to cope with having to live a long life.
  • Critical Hit Class: Zigzagged. She has literally zero critical hit chance naturally, and can only hit crits when the enemies she's facing against are afflicted with Bleed, which she can inflict with her various skills.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: She was released on February 2, 2023, at least five months before being revealed as an antagonist in the main story following the release of Chapter 5.
  • Jerkass to One: Downplayed. She's standoffish to nearly all Souls but is particularly mean to the Savior and insults him for nearly anything he does for unknown reasons, even going so far as to threaten his life during her bond episodes. This turns out to be a ploy to provoke him into ending her life permanently.
    • Her 1-koma, "There is No Real Reason", has her reclining on a couch, presumably looking down on the Savior, and say this:
Velanna: "Huh? You woke up at 09:32 this morning? Disgusting. Get lost."
  • Leitmotif: "End of Hatred, End of Mind".
  • Sadist: Woe be to her enemies. She expresses plenty of joy whenever she activates her blood-letting skills in gameplay, has a Whip Sword, and never misses a chance to insult the Savior.
  • Serpent of Immortality: She is an immortal Soul with snake motifs. This turns out to be an Irony because of how tired she has become of said immortality.
  • Snakes Are Sinister: She has a snake tattoo on her back, her skill animations involve snakes, her Whip Sword itself can be like one, her specialty is to breed snakes, one slithers over her arm in her summon animation and victory pose—and of course, she's malicious in the way she acts, making death threats towards the Savior in her personal story. The "Sinister" part of this however is downplayed in that her cruelty is superficial at most towards other people, including the Savior, to whom she never tries anything further than hurling insults (apart from the rose petal clump filled with a poisonous seed she stuffs into his mouth in her first bond episode, which the Savior easily spits out, and is an unnecessarily roundabout way of killing him).
  • Something about a Rose: Roses are often involved when it comes to her, which not only references her title and the secret rose garden she keeps in Arkenine, but also describes her thorny personality. Her second bond episode also has her tell a mythological story about how roses came to have thorns.
  • Suicide by Cop: Her main motivation is this, and by the Savior's hands. She succeeds in the Normal Ending by provoking Mephi's Ark, whose Spear of the Ark can be powered enough to actually kill any Soul that threatens the Savior's life, into shooting her, while she fails in the True Ending where the Savior resorts to a Diving Save, but fortunately the Ark won't shoot at the Savior and automatically powers down. Played with in the Bad Ending where she threatens the Savior into pushing her to her death lest she kills him, but on his refusal resorts to jumping to her doom.
  • The Teetotaler: A Town chat with her has the Savior ask if she likes drinking alcohol. She replies she doesn't and calls him out for stereotyping.
  • Whip Sword: Her longsword is one coupled with being a Serrated Blade of Pain, which only accentuates her sadistic personality.
