    Adrianne

  • For Great Justice: Her motivations for being the warrior that she is. She believes in justice and will act according to it for everyone's sake, like the superheroes she adores.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: A blonde-haired valiant beauty that acts as a kind-hearted and radiant protector of the weak and vulnerable. Bonus points for being an Angel-type Soul.
  • Leitmotif: "Happy Justice Day!".
  • Workaholic: Her For Great Justice mantra leads her into overworking herself to train and grow strong enough to protect everyone. Her Love Story revolves around the Savior finding ways for her to take it slow before she breaks under pressure, the "Endless Summer" event involves him and her fellow Souls assuming this aspect of hers is what keeps them from leaving Vivienne's beach paradise, and the Apostle of War shows the dark logical end result of this trope if the Savior was never summoned to Eden to hold her back while she's still in a clear headspace.

The Apostle of War

A version of Adrianne from another timeline where the Savior was never summoned to Eden. Based around her personal turmoil in her Love Story, her Workaholic attitude was never abated by anyone as she kept fighting and training at the cost of her mental health. After a certain battle, she eventually fell and hoped her next resurrection would happen long into the future... but the "Soul of the End" Apollyon had other plans for her and her fellow Angel-type Souls. With her world destroyed by her own hands, she moves to another timeline, to the player Savior's timeline, to bring his world to its end all the same... Canonically in the Main Story, she becomes one of Apollyon's Four Knights of the Apocalypse, being in charge of the throne of War.
  • Evil Doppelgänger: To Adrianne. The loss of Queen Yuria and the reawakening of her true personality Apollyon resulted in her wish to rest to be morphed into a desire to see the world's end by following her every word. Not to mention her coming from a Savior-less timeline means Kayrin Faust may or may not have succeeded in her bid to force Apollyon into a contract with her to destroy Eden for the return of humanity, which could potentially mean she's under her employ now.
  • Leitmotif: "Apokalypsis". Also doubles as her boss theme.
  • Tactical Suicide Boss: Unlike other Evil Souls, she does not have a "groggy gauge" to deplete using attacks with status ailments. Instead, she gets a subskill named "A Strike That Pierces Through the Light: Charging Pierce" where she starts charging up for a powerful attack to be inflicted on the Soul farthest from her, dealing damage and pushing said Soul to the end of the battlefield if successful. While she charges up, she leaves herself open to any Soul that can inflict the Stun ailment either through player-activated skills or subskills, making manual play a must if you're targeting for a better score.

One of the most powerful warriors within the Edel Guards. Appears to be well put together and cordial, but underneath that eternal smile of hers is...
  • Early-Bird Cameo: She plays a small role in Chapter 1 of the main story, which was released at launch with no indication as to when she'll become playable.

  • Awful Truth: Another Ayame—or rather Ayame as the two personalities merge together by the end—does not take it well when she finds out her lover made a deal with the Forgotten God to keep themselves separated. Unable to bear watching his beloved continue massacring people in the name of their love, he decided they had to part from each other to keep Ayame from rampaging again, then reunite until embers have cooled.
  • God Is Evil: Though the Forgotten God is now an embodiment of its lingering thoughts, they still qualify as the one who punished Ayame for breaking the taboo of intervening in human affairs, let alone bonding with her special someone. In truth, they're more of a Third-Party Peacekeeper that was only keeping their end of the deal for Ayame's lover, who created the trial in the first place.
  • Kimono Fanservice: She wears her kimono quite loosely, baring most of her shoulders, and revealing her huge cleavage and a beauty mark on her right breast.
  • Leitmotif: "A Long Wait" and "Another Ego".
  • The Promise: She and the Savior's past self promised to love each other for all eternity. The latter swore to love her even in his next life when he made the deal with the Forgotten God; whether it will be upheld or not is up to you.
  • Reincarnation Romance: Her Love Story is about her lover from ages past, who she did not remember at first. She thought she knew the Savior from somewhere before, causing her other personality to resurface and accuse the Savior of being a lover that broke their promise to stay together forever. It is explained by the Forgotten God that the Savior is a reincarnation of Ayame's lover, the couple having been ostracized by neighboring villagers who went as far as to harm them, sparking Ayame's rage into killing not only them, but also countless innocents that the god placed their 'souls' on Ayame as punishment.
  • Split Personality: A vengeful personality of Ayame rose in response to the Savior's presence, who remembers Ayame's past as lovers with the Savior's past self and resents him for leaving her. This personality was actually created to protect herself from her feelings of abandonment when it happened.

    Lizelotte

"If you're afraid of the dark night, I will be with you."
Rarity: Epic -> Origin+5
Title: Evil Eye of Darkness
Artifact: Gungnir
Height: 163cm
Birthday: 1/15
Hobbies: Ironing
Specialty: Acting
Likes: Cup ramen
Dislikes: Being out for a long time

A refined Demon Soul who always talks in a sort of flowery language. In actuality, she is faking her mannerisms in order to uphold a certain image.
  • Chuunibyou: Invoked. She was never one until she ended up injuring herself by fiddling with a forbidden magic tome, with her right eye becoming a sort of "seal" for said magic. Her butterfly eyepatch came from Erika's prescription to bounce back any leaking magic from said eye while it heals, but it, along with the distinct rarity of Angels and Demons in Eden, made Lizelotte very popular with the masses, prompting her to keep up the chuuni act in public while having her newfound fans enjoy the whole spectacle. In private, she really is just a normal hard-working Soul like everybody else.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: She presents herself as a dark-looking Demon Soul with a dubious air about her to most onlookers, but she's a courteous person and a lot nicer in private.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: First appears during the 2023 Spring event, Spring Blooming in Your Heart, being one of the A Day in the Limelight characters alongside Ayame and featured characters Clara and Haru.
  • Elegant Gothic Lolita: An aloof Chuunibyou she may be, she wears her dress very well in all its sable, crimson and frilly combo.
  • Gratuitous English: Her Ultimate Skill "Indignation: Monologue" is spoken in very distinct Engrish, especially when compared to her spoken lines when using her Main Skill being in Korean.
  • Irony: How ironic, being a Demon Soul whose Artifact is a divine weapon usually depicted as a heavenly spear. Somewhat justified in that the in-game description for Gungnir describes it as a spear used by a god of war.
  • Large Ham: To amplify her Chuunibyou act, she often sprinkles verbose or incomprehensible phrases to her lines, making the general public believe she's talking about very deep concepts when it's really just word salad. She also speaks in a much deeper voice than she actually does in private for greater impact.
  • Leitmotif: "Obsidian Prominence".
  • Odd Friendship: Finds herself becoming friends with the stoic but mischievous gravekeeper Petra due to her, and the Savior, accidentally knowing her true character. Lizelotte often remarks on knowing if Petra is happy by checking if her Idiot Hair twitches.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: More like Red and Black and Looks Evil. She has the typical red and black colors that match her intimidating demonic looks, but she hasn't a bad bone in her.
  • Shipper on Deck: In Spring Blooming in Your Heart, it doesn't take long for her to realize Ayame's beloved person is the Savior, then nudges her into overcoming her shyness and give the Savior a bouquet of Lucky Flowers.
  • Vampire Lolita Archetype: Though not a vampire and lacking red eyes, she ticks off a lot of tropes to fit like having pale skin, dark appearance, demonic nature, black bat-like wings, courtly demeanor, and shadowy powers.
  • Wicked Cultured: Subverted. The image she puts up is that of an aloof individual who idly spouts concepts hinting at greater truths, but in reality it's all just an act that Lizelotte keeps up.
