Bright Future universe
The Bright Future 'verse is an alternate timeline where a large majority of ponies and creatures alike are godlike beings, and Alicornization has become more streamlined for any pony who is willing to undergo its various trials. General
- Big Fancy Castle: The simple treehouse that served as the headquarters for the Prime CMC has been turned into a "palace version" of it, with Princess Applebloom heading all communications, video recordings, and technology there.
- Deity of Human Origin: Alicornization has become more streamlined at some point in this universe compared to Prime Equestria, where the process is only limited to those who have proven themselves to be exceptional and powerful beings. That being said, becoming a deity is in itself not easy, since it still requires a lot of trials for a person to go through in order to prove they have the virtues necessary to ascend.
- Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Have apparently done this multiple times.
- Future Badass: Literally everyone, which is what happens when an entire world's population ascended and became gods.
- One Riot, One Ranger: When aiding Mainline Equestria in their conflicts, this seems to be their policy, as both times they've sent a single pony (Prince Shining Armor the first time and Princess Gilia for the second). Justified, as they explicitly do not want the Alliance to depend on the army of gods to solve their problems and each member in question is a full grown Alicorn thousands of years more experienced than even the present Celestia and Luna.
- Physical God: Most of the population, due to Alicornization becoming more streamlined in this world.
- Space Police: The Wonderbolts have spread out and become this in this world. This job apparently involves taking down cosmic criminals.
- Really 700 Years Old: Most characters who were around in the present are several thousand years old by now.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: With so Alicorns and godlike beings in this universe, much of the pony and creature populace are willing to protect said universe from many mundane and cosmic threats.
- Winged Unicorn: Most of the pony population are Alicorns.
Princess Aequitas
- Alternate Self: Is an alternate Alicorn version of Starlight Glimmer.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Takes the visiting mane six's questions and visit in stride, even when they misunderstand the situation a few times. She's also the Princess of Social Equality and Fairness, so she's this by default.
Princess Applebloom
- Alternate Self: Is an alternate Alicorn version of Apple Bloom.
- Deflector Shields: One of her inventions creates barriers that can protect an area from attacks made by even divine beings. This came in handy in protecting Ponyville and the original CMC's clubhouse from a rampaging monster while the Prime Mane Six are visiting the Bright Future world.
- Gadgeteer Genius: Is a technology wiz and invented a large amount of the world's technology herself.
- So Proud of You: Receives this compliment from Prime Applejack after hearing of her accomplishments in her world. Applebloom also mentions that her Applejack was also proud of her for becoming an Alicorn.
- Super-Intelligence: Is noted as having a '12th level intellect' and invented a large number of the Bright Future world's tech, due to being the Princess of Invention and Progress.
- Technopath: Part of her portfolio is controlling technology with her mind.
Princess Faventia
- Affectionate Nickname: Is still called "Scoots" by her Rainbow Dash, one thing that never changed in this world.
- Alternate Self: Is an alternate Alicorn version of Scootaloo.
Princess Fidelitas
- Alternate Self: Is an alternate Alicorn version of Rainbow Dash.
- Canon Immigrant: She came from the Pony POV Series, where she was the result of Dark World!Rainbow Dash ascending to become an Alicorn Princess. Her presence here is justified since her purpose is to go into each timeline and protect them from time-breaking lunatics and other threats.
Princess Ceras
Ceras is the Princess of Agriculture, overseeing Sweet Apple Acres and making sure crops stay fertile and plentiful.
- Age Without Youth: Subverted. Despite becoming an Alicorn in this world and thus allowing her to become a healthy young mare in her prime, Ceras still chooses to look like an elderly mare since, in Aequitas's words, it makes her look "older and wiser most of the time".
- Alternate Self: Is an alternate Alicorn version of Granny Smith.
- Green Thumb: Implied.
- Physical God: Much like her fellow Alicorns, Ceras is one. Due to being the Princess of Agriculture, she has powerful nature magic, to the point where she causes plants to spontaneously sprout with each step.
Princess Lucia
- Superior Successor: Is one for Morning Star as the Alicorn deity of Perfection and Beauty. Unlike Morning Star, whose own arrogance caused him to fall to evil, Lucia represents what he's supposed to be, helping and guiding her world until it achieved a golden future.
Princess Sweetie Belle
- Alternate Self: Is an alternate Alicorn version of Prime Sweetie Belle.
- Happily Married: To her world's Button Mash, also known as Prince Ishtmia.
Prince Isthmia
- Alternate Self: Is an alternate Alicorn version of Prime Button Mash.
- Happily Married: To his world's Sweetie Belle.
Prince Shining Armor
- Alternate Self: Is an alternate Alicorn version of Prime Shining Armor.
- Barrier Warrior: Is literally the god of this trope. He's good enough at it to shield every population center in Equestria by himself, and not even break a sweat from it.
- Large and in Charge: Alicorn!Shining Armor is tall as Celestia, towering over his prime counterpart. He's also a prince.
- One Riot, One Ranger: Is sent to aid in the First Multiversal War and protect the civilian population by himself. Prime Shining Armor is surprised to learn that only his Alicorn counterpart was sent when he was expecting a platoon of soldiers from this world.
- Winged Unicorn: Unlike most of his counterparts, who are unicorns, this Shining Armor is an Alicorn.
Princess Gilia
- Alternate Self: Her identity is concealed at first, but she's actually a heroic alternate version of Tempest Shadow/Fizzlepop Berrytwist.
- Armor-Piercing Question: Delivers several to Tempest Shadow during the Storm King battle. She's so good at it because she is Tempest Shadow from an alternate timeline, and thus knows how she thinks.
- Handicapped Badass: Despite being an Alicorn, her horn is still broken. She explains she could regenerate it whenever she desired, but doesn't so as to inspire others with disabilities with what's possible.
- Having a Blast: Can use Tempest's unstable magic bursts, but kept it hidden using a false horn until she reveals herself.
- I Hate Past Me: She's rather frustrated at Tempest Shadow for being so stubborn about seeing the error of her ways, because she herself is an alternate future version of her and knows where those ways are heading.
- Meaningful Name: Gilia is the feminine form of Giles. As in Saint Giles, the Patron Saint of Cripples, foreshadowing that she's the future version of the handicapped Tempest Shadow.
- My Future Self and Me: Is an alternate future version of Tempest Shadow and confronts the native Tempest during the Storm King battle.
- No-Sell: Is easily able to counter Tempest's Obsidian Sphere. Justified, as she is Tempest and thus knows exactly how they work, their limitations, and their weaknesses, so she's naturally easily able to counter them.
- One Riot, One Ranger: Is sent to help the Alliance against the upgraded Storm King's forces as their only representative. She proves rather effective.
- The Paralyzer: Can shoot beams of lightning with this effect.
Princess Maternity Love Tap
Maternity Love Tap is the Princess of Motherhood, Prince Isthmia's mother, and 8-Bit's wife.
- Happily Married: To Prince 8-Bit.
- Katanas Are Just Better: Her primary weapon is a pink, flaming katana.
- Mama Bear: Weaponized. Being the Princess of Motherhood, her power increases drastically whenever she's protecting her loved ones.
Prince 8-Bit
8-Bit is the Prince of Roleplaying, Prince Ishtmia's father, and Maternity Love Tap's husband.
- Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: He's implied to look like an Alicorn from an old-school RPG, as his mane is described as being drawn in the style of old-school artwork for Ogres & Oubliettes. His power base lies in summoning things from RPGs.
- Happily Married: To Princess Maternity Love Tap.
- Heart Is an Awesome Power: Much like his son, Button Mash, 8-Bit's power lies in roleplaying. This allows him summon beasts, monsters, and even ships that are operated by RPG fantasy races like orcs.
