Bees Flying Free.

One of the three new units introduced in the Ensemble Stars!! Updated Re-release.

The rising stars of Cosmic Productions, Crazy:B is a passionate party unit led by Rinne Amagi. They specialize in live shows where they get things hyped with their fans. Their media coverage focuses on jobs that best convey their individual qualities, like participating as guests on variety shows and talk shows, acting as radio personalities, and doing fashion modelling for commercials.

Their theme color is yellow.

    open/close all folders
     In General
  • Animal Motifs: Insect motifs, but more specifically bees. Their Color Motif of yellow, hexagon logo, and their Music MV using beehive imagery emphasizes this.
    • In their introductory episode, Rinne often uses bee metaphors.
    • The Crazy B-focused scout, “Honey Bee”, also evokes the image of bees, with their costumes having antennae and wings.
  • Black Mail: In their unit song event story "Hot Limit", they manipulate and actually blackmail Anzu into helping them get jobs in order for Ensemble Square to avoid the implication that they’re discriminating against certain idol groups. They even threaten to release images of Rinne sitting on the ground in a destitute state because of his lack of jobs for the internet to see, which would damage ES’ reputation, leaving Anzu with no choice but to help them.
  • Evil Knockoff: Subverted. Ibara tried to make Crazy:B be the rivals to Eichi's ALKALOID (even making use of the Amagi's brothers connection) though they (particularly Rinne) turned on him. They did initially tried but failed to reach out to ALKALOID for help (Rinne to Hiiro though he declined, Kohaku to Shiratori until Tsukasa intercepted) before they began to wreck havoc on their own.
  • Foil: To Trickstar, as many units make the comparisons of how similar (though much more violent) Crazy:B is to them in the way they are trying to cause a revolution with Yumenosaki/ES. Individually:
    • The main red-head who marches to the beat of his own drum and has an affinity for money/shiny things
    • The stoic and rational blue hair member who has/had a family member in the idol industry
    • Someone joining from another line of work while affiliated with a member of Knights. Said member kidnaps them in regards to that line of work in the later half of the main story
    • Though they have the least amount of parallels, they are the more average person that became half-heatedly became an idol because of a friend, and act as a caretaker to the said friend
  • Rummage Sale Reject: Some of their unit outfits are...unique, to say the least.

     Rinne Amagi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rinne_amagi_4.png
The Thrill-Seeking Gambler

An idol who lives and breathes his hobby, gambling, and treats his life no different than one of those gambles. He used to perform as part of a duo with Niki Shiina. Though a cheerful and generous individual, there are times he can be not only wasteful, but downright tyrannical. He is Hiiro Amagi's older brother. He likes to test his luck. With a voice that's mischievous, as if he were playing some game, Rinne's performances are powerful and larger than life.

Circles/Club: ASOBI Club, CRAFTMONSTER
Age: 20-21
Height: 181cm
Weight: 61kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: May 18th (Taurus)
Family: Hiiro Amagi (Younger brother)
Hobby: Gambling
Specialty: Ad-libbing
Voiced by: Yohei Azakami

  • Ambiguously Bi: While this trope could apply to almost everyone in the cast, it’s much more so in his case than pretty much any other character save for Izumi. The “ambiguous” part is questionable, however, considering how many times he’s made sexual passes at Niki, his other unit members and a few other characters in the cast that he’s interacted with.
    • The event story Hot Limit seems to imply that same-sex marriage is legal in his hometown, which would explain his openness about flirting with men.
  • Big Brother Instinct: He tries to play it off most of the time but turns out he is very protective of his younger brother to the point that part of the reason he left the village is because he hoped that it would make Hiiro's life better. Also extends to other younger idols like Kohaku and Hinata.
  • The Chessmaster: Leads Ibara & Keito by the nose for most of MDM and developed several schemes throughout the main story including tricking the audience to attend an event that was advertised under another group, getting RYUSEITAI to accept their challenge for Idol Royale, spreading rumors to reach Tsukasa so he would incapacitate Kohaku and prevent him from interfering with his plans, before using himself to take the fall for CrazyB's actions during MDM. He does note there were some that did not succeed but ultimately, he got the result that he wanted
  • Delinquents: Out of all of the "troublemakers", he is the one that acts the most like this. Speaks a lot more rudely & vulgarly, provokes fights, and isn't above threats or violence to get what he wants. Though it is implied some of it is a front.
  • Mr. Fanservice: While every character gets some sort of Fanservice, his character revolves around this as he’s shown to be carefree and indulgent.
  • Food as Bribe: Bribes Niki this way in Nightclub, and Niki being who he is, he falls for it.
  • Four-Temperament Ensemble: Choleric.
  • The Hedonist: Rinne is the biggest example of this in the cast, but he does have moments where he does show he wants to become a better person.
  • Heroic Comedic Sociopath
  • In Vino Veritas: Subverted. The Feeling Tipsy gacha card story begins with Hiiro picking up a blackout drunk Rinne from a bar. On the way home Rinne starts to praise Hiiro on his growth and how well he's been doing recently which makes him extremely happy. When they get home though Niki quickly points out that Rinne doesn't smell like alcohol at all and that today was Hiiro's birthday, suggesting that Rinne had arranged the entire situation to give his brother a small birthday gift under the guise of being drunk.
  • Jerkass: Noted for being vulgar and rude to pretty much everyone, he but wants to work on himself to be a better person.
    • Jerkass Façade: Implied to be this way, as shown in the Honeybee gacha story that centers on Crazy:B. It’s also implied on several occasions that the Jerkass persona is simply a front he puts on.
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: When the Jerkass Façade slips. While Rinne seems to genuinely enjoy teasing people, deep down he is a kind and caring person who likes to help those around him. This is particularly noticable with his treatment of the younger idols like Kohaku and Hinata where he turns into a Big Brother Mentor even if it overlaps with Stealth Mentor. Not to mention how his attitude tends to soften when around Hiiro.
  • Killing Intent: His brother notes how well Rinne is able to hide his during Rinne's idol story.
  • Shared Family Quirks: Both him and his brother are very physical, both in affection and in violence. Rinne's intentions are comparitively a lot less innocent than his brother's.
    • The Hot Limit event reveals that back when Rinne first arrived in the city he acted near identical to his younger brother Hiiro, just slightly more street smart.
  • Ship Tease: Gets a lot with Niki and has even tried to strip him down in the Nightclub event story. The dialogue was eventually changed to him trying to shave Niki’s hair, claiming that Niki seduced him.
  • Small Town Boredom: At the least implied to be one of the reasons why Rinne ran away from his hometown.
  • The Nicknamer: Tends to nickname those he interacts with. At least with CrazyB, it was revealed that he does this so he wouldn't stay attached to his teammates.
  • The Runaway: Rinne left his hometown for the cities after he learned about idols and Hiiro sets out to find him.
  • The Gambling Addict: A big part of his character.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: While Kohaku isn’t exactly innocent due to his upbringing, and HiMERU is implied to not be so much either, he’s definitely this to Niki as he’s always dragging him into things. Yuuta also views him as this to Hinata, due to Rinne’s negative reputation.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: A flashback from Hiiro in the main scenario gives a look to what kind of person Rinne was to him. His present self is anything but. Played with in that he was already cryptic and vague as a child, he was just a lot more openly affectionate.
  • Zero-Approval Gambit: Invokes this in MDM to take the fall for Crazy:B and to protect his other members.

     HiMERU
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/himeru_4.png
The Secret HiMERU in Your Heart

HiMERU was originally a solo idol. He speaks in a manner that allows him to keep others at a distance. Both calm and gentle in demeanor, he's quite enigmatic. He sometimes appears to act in a way that's meant to confirm his own behavior to himself. With a singing voice that entices you closer, the allure of an adult drifts through the air of his performances, belying his actual age.

Class: 3-S
Circles/Club: Sweets Fan Club, Ibara Lecture
Age: 17-18 (Allegedly)
Height: 178cm
Weight: 56kg
Blood Type: O
Birthday: July 7th (Cancer)
Family:
Hobby: Collecting hats
Specialty: Making deductions
Voiced by: Jun Kasama

  • The Ace: Formerly Cosmic Productions best idol before Eden dethroned him.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Nearly everything he has done in the story has been in service of giving his little brother a place to return to. During the main story he is more than happy to throw himself under the bus for Crazy:B's misdeeds to save his little brother's reputation than have him take any blame for it.
  • Berserk Button: Making fun of his name seems to be one, if his reaction to Rinne was any indication.
  • Becoming the Mask: He initially only took on the name HiMERU to act as a placeholder until Kaname woke up but with his growing affection towards Crazy:B and his work it's clear he genuinely enjoys being an idol.
  • Can't Catch Up: Similarly to Madara Mikejima, he is a solo unit forced to join in the unit system in order to be able to participate due to solo units gradually being phased out of the industry. This lead to his joining Crazy:B, though he's continuing to make moves as his solo unit HiMERU.
  • Friendship Denial: One of his Hot Limit mini-talks will have him coldly deny that he has a friendship relationship with Crazy:B, despite the warmness he shows toward them in the event proper. He claims it’s just a business relationship.
  • Foil: To his unitmate Rinne. While both are doting older brothers to younger siblings working as idols hiding behind masks, Rinne likes to take a more indirect approach to helping Hiiro while HiMERU goes so far as to erase his own identity and take Kaname's place to protect him.
  • Four-Temperament Ensemble: Melancholic.
  • Grade Skipper: A possible explanation given by Kohaku for how he was able to graduate university despite only being 17 years old. Subverted since he is actually older and most likely did go to university.
  • Hair-Contrast Duo: Rinne is a carefree and vulgar redhead in contrast to the serious and reserved blue-haired HiMERU.
  • Japanese Pronouns: While he speaks in third person when talking to others, when thinking to himself he uses the first person pronoun "Ore"/俺.
  • Last-Name Basis: Refers to everyone as their last name without honorifics, including his fellow members of Crazy:B.
  • Meaningful Name: According to him, HiMERU has a deeper meaning to it that is currently unknown to the players. He doesn't care for it being made fun of.
  • Mysterious Past: As of current, not a lot is known about his past such as why there are two idols that shared the name stage name HiMERU, what his actual name is, how old HiMERU is, among other things.
    • The Obbligato event sheds some light on his past. He is the older half brother of the original HiMERU and was raised seperately by Priest as an idol and in the art of disguise. After watching his little brother get beaten into a coma by his disatisfied classmates, HiMERU continued to work as an idol under his stage name to ensure that Kaname had a place to return to and could work as an idol when he wakes up.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: He is only known by his stage name, HiMERU. It's eventually revealed that one HiMERU's real name is Kaname Tojou who turns out to be the original. The current HiMERU mentions that he has abandoned his old name but since they are half brothers his last name is also presumably Tojou though his first name is censored whenever it appears, leaving his full name a mystery.
  • Only Sane Man: Seems to be the most rational member of the group as he’s the least likely to put up with Rinne’s nonsense. He can’t avert this on a whim, however.
  • Older Than They Look: Played with, as HiMERU’s true age is unknown. He looks to be around Rinne’s age, as in an adult, but he claims to be 17 years old. The fact that he graduated University already suggests that he is an adult, despite his profile stating otherwise.
    • In Obbligato it's revealed that the original HiMERU is indeed 17 and would be a third year high school student now. The current HiMERU is his older half-brother disguising himself to look like him but it's unclear how much older he really is.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Rinne’s red.
  • Sweet Tooth: His being in the Sweets Fan Club seems to imply this.
  • The Rival: With Tatsumi back when he is still under Cosmic Productions.
  • The Smart Guy: While it's not his primary character trait, his specialty it making deductions and he often acts as the voice of reason within Crazy:B.
  • Third-Person Person: Refers to his own stage name whenever he speaks about himself. His internal dialogue is a mix between this and referring to himself as "Ore".
  • Vague Age: Claims to be 17 as “HIMERU” and his profile states that he’s 17-18, but several characters suggest that he may be older than he appears. HiMERU is also stated to have graduated University already, but attends Shuuetsu Academy regardless. Obbligato confirms that he is older than his stated age but it's unclear by how much.

     Kohaku Oukawa

Crazy B appearance
Double Face appearance

Voiced by: Tasuku Kaito

A member of Crazy:B as well as New Dimension’s Double Face. Kohaku is affiliated with COSMIC PRODUCTION.

Class: 1-S
Circles/Club: Kaori, Sweets Fan Club
Age: 15-16
Height: 168cm
Weight: 51kg
Handiness: Right-handed
Blood Type: B
Birthday: February 5th (Aquarius)
Family: Older sisters, Tsukasa Suou (Cousin)
Hobby: Lessons
Specialty: Japanese classical theater

  • Adorably Precocious Child: A bit older than most examples as he’s 15 at the start of the story, but his official profile notes that he speaks maturely for his age. He still had moments where he can be rather childish, however.
  • Amateur Sleuth: As Double Face with Madara Mikejima.
  • Anti-Hero: Very much this, as he wants to rid the world of evil people in order for those he cares about to live peacefully by any means necessary.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: The youngest member of Crazy:B, and treated as such by Rinne much to his annoyance. HiMERU and Niki tend to view him as a child as well, despite not being that much older than him. Once he joins in a unit with Madara Mikejima, this view extends to Madara as well, though he makes note of Kohaku's competence despite being him being a child. Even Tsukasa gets in on this, particularly in the main story.
  • Bad Ass Family: Comes from a family with a history of doing dirty work.
  • Bad Guys Do the Dirty Work: His family does the "dirty work" for the Suou family and later once to Ibara for Cosmic Productions to take out GFK (though Madara does speculate it might be to help Crazy:B's reputation). He continues this work into Double Face
  • Big Brother Instinct: Displays this toward Tsukasa, despite them being cousins and him being the younger of the two.
  • Big Brother Bully: Also acts like a bit of a bully to Tsukasa when he’s not acting as a "protective big brother" figure. Most of his third idol story has him playfully teasing Tsukasa.
  • Birds of a Feather: Has several similarities in terms of character to Madara Mikejima, which is part of the reason they end up bonding from A Dark Night’s Passing onward. For some examples, They both have dark pasts that shape who they are today, and firmly believe in protecting others from the impurities of the world by any means necessary, even if it means they’ll become sullied themselves and "fall into hell".
  • Deadpan Snarker: Occasionally prone to this, with a dash of Brutal Honesty.
  • Deliberately Cute Child: Takes advantage of his cute appearance at times to get things done.
  • Energetic and Soft-Spoken Duo: The soft-spoken side, while Madara is the energetic side. One of their home-screen interactions can have Kohaku scold Madara for shouting out that they should have a strategy meeting.
  • Expository Pronoun: Uses the first-person pronoun Washi and refers to others as Nushihan , both of which are more often used by old men. It hints that he wants to be viewed as an adult despite only being 15-16.
  • Fish out of Water: A big part of his character is not being used to the “futuristic” city due to being raised in a more traditional setting, shut in away from the modern world outside of viewing things on TV and the internet.
  • First Friend: According to one of his Hot Limit mini-talks, he views HiMERU as the first connection he made when he entered the city.
  • First-Name Basis: Refers to everyone as "insert given name- han" regardless of his relationship with them except Tsukasa who he refers to as "Bou", Aira who he refers to as “Love-han”, and Madara, who he initially referred to as “Mikejima-han” upon their first interaction. After Madara clarifies that he dislikes his family name, Kohaku refers to him as "Madara-han".
  • Friendship Denial: Treats his connection with Madara in the unit Double Face as a "Just business" type of dynamic as of current despite evidently bonding with him over the course of their debut event.
  • Four-Temperament Ensemble: Phlegmatic.
  • Hates Being Called Cute: Doesn’t hate it but seems mildly annoyed when others call him cute.
  • Heir Club for Men: Averted. Compared to the Suou, their clan is based on ability rather than gender. Currently, his eldest sister is next in line as heir.
  • Height Angst: One of his home-screen dialogues with Madara will have him being envious of Madara's height, wishing he could share some of that height with him. Madara responds by reassuring Kohaku that he's a fine boy and attractive even if he isn't tall.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Aira Shiratori, who he was friends with online before they met in person in the main story.
  • Homeschooled Kids: Prior to moving to the city, he was home-schooled by his family.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Noted by Word of God to want to lead a normal life away from his family, but can’t due to the circumstances he finds himself in.
  • Inseries Nickname: He’s been called "Sakura" by several characters, including his roommate Jun. Tsukasa calls him "Kohakun" which was what he called him when they were children. Aira refers to him as "Kohakucchi".
  • Kid Detective: His default Double Face unit outfit seems to reflect this role, whereas Madara is dressed as more of the lead Private Detective.
  • Meaningful Name: Has the Kanji for "Sakura" in his family name, and has pink hair to match it.
  • Noiseless Walker: After spooking Jun in the Nightclub event story, he explains that he has a habit of erasing his presence when in a crowd.
  • Non-Uniform Uniform: As Double Face, where he’s introduced wearing an entirely different outfit style from Madara, with only the color motif, theme and accessories tying them together.
  • The Noodle Incident: Often compares the situations he's in to the time he was in a zashikirou (solidary confinement room used during the Edo period) in both the main story, as well both his Crazy:B and Double Face unit stories (in Hot Limit and A Dark Night Passing & Antique Legend respectively). As for what reason he was in there has yet to be explained.
  • Odd Friendship: With Madara Mikejima. Though due to their gradually revealed Birds of a Feather similarities, their friendship might not be so odd after all. As well, Word of God states that they wanted to give Madara someone to stand on stage with as an equal, something he couldn’t do with his other friends, implying that Kohaku was written specifically to be this sort of friend to him.
  • Protectorate: Part of the reason he wanted to take down GFK is because Knights being damaged by the producers reputation would inevitably cause trouble for Tsukasa.
  • Play-Along Prisoner: Tsukasa initially assumes Kohaku is this during MDM preliminaries since he hadn't done much to escape (turns out he is too shocked by the situation to do anything). Played straight at the second half where he begrudgingly goes along with Tsukasa's plan of being Knights' captive for their match with ALKALOID
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Pulls these on Niki in the Nightclub event story in order to persuade him to join the live with them.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue oni to Madara Mikejima’s red in Double Face.
  • Sensing You Are Outmatched: Although he does initially try to voice his objections, he ttends to back down in physical altercations if he feels its more trouble than it's worth (particularly with Madara)
  • Servile Snarker: While he does care for Tsukasa, he has no problem being openly rude and snarky towards him (especially when dragged into his more elaborate schemes).
  • Shared Family Quirks: Several with Tsukasa, his cousin. They’re both The Baby of the Bunch of their respective units and are treated as such by their seniors much to their dismay and both have a notable Sweet Tooth, though Kohaku is shown to be more used to traditional sweets like anmitsu, as opposed to Tsukasa’s preference for western sweets like parfait.
  • Signature Laugh: "Ko ko ko~", which other characters note to be strange. He implies in his idol story that he’d heard actors on TV laugh like that and thusly copied it.
  • Skipping School: Averted, as it turns out he’s not even enrolled in school despite being high school age.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Tends to get twice as much promotional focus due to being in two units:
    • Kohaku currently operates in both Crazy B and Double Face. Unlike Madara, who is also (supposedly) operating in his original unit and Double Face, Kohaku being in two different units is reflected from an interface perspective since they're not from the same office, and therefore the existence of Crazy B doesn't conflict with the Double Face. To compare, despite Madara (supposedly) still operating as MaM at the same time as Double Face, promotional material tends to just treat him like the leader of Double Face in the Ensemble Stars!! era.
    • Song-wise, Kohaku has been better off than the other characters:
      • Kohaku tends to get twice as many songs as other characters due to being in two different units from different offices. To wit, he was able to be the song center of Crazy B's unit song, and then, a few months later, went on to be the center of the Double Face unit song.
      • For Unit Song CD's, every group tends to get two songs, while Kohaku gets four, two from each unit he's in. However, on their first Unit Song CD, both Crazy:B and Double Face received 3 songs to catch them up to the preexisting units, meaning Kohaku got six songs. Once again to compare, Madara only received songs for Double Face and wouldn't receive any songs for MaM until "Handy Craft" on Double Face's second song CD.
      • Kohaku received two cover songs in the Ensemble Stars!! Cover Song Series. First "U.S.A." with UNDEAD as Crazy:B and later "Yoru Ni Kakeru" with ALKALOID as Double Face.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Not extreme enough to be considered a Tsundere, but he can be pretty hard on the people he cares about at times, particularly toward his fellow unit members in Crazy B.
    • He’s more of a toned-down example toward Tsukasa, who clearly wants to mend their relationship despite how their families view each other. Kohaku in turn responds by gently bullying him in their interactions and then setting out on a mission to protect Knights’ and by extension, Tsukasa’s reputation in the event A Dark Night’s Passing.
    • He appears to display a specific brand of this toward Madara Mikejima from A Dark Nights Passing onward in more than one way. Throughout the event, he frequently switches between being callous and uncaring toward Madara during their interactions to being more agreeable, taking a liking to him enough to say he’s easy to talk to and expressing interest in their developing friendship based on their common goals. He also appears to be very mixed on the idea of Double Face, dismissing it as a temporary joint front and reiterating that Crazy:B is his priority, but in other situations is happily willing to discuss unit plans with Madara with or without Madara’s prompting despite the work-load he would have to take on due to operating in more than one unit. The event story Hot Limit has him become hot and cold on the subject of his secondary unit once again, as he begins the event happily discussing his Double Face work with his fellow Crazy:B members but the later chapters have him lamenting the idea of being used by Anzu as a disposable prop to help Madara shine as MaM. Of course, this was just a tactic to manipulate Anzu into helping Crazy:B with their live.
  • Sweet Tooth: Says he likes anything sweet in his shaved ice challenge dialogue, much like Tsukasa. He is also part of the Sweets Fan Club circle in Ensemble Square.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: If his shaved ice challenge in Ensemble Stars!! Basic is any indication, his favorite topping is Anmitsu.
  • Vigilante Man: Acts like this with Madara Mikejima with this being one of the reasons Double Face was formed.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: The Spider Halloween event reveals that Kohaku is deadly afraid of ghosts and other horror related things and reacts by attacking whatever startled him. This causes the other Crazy:B members to seriously worry for guests and performers alike if Kohaku doesn't learn to manage his reactions by the time the official ES Halloween event begins which prompts them to try and train him to not lash out.

     Niki Shiina
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/niki_shiina_4.png
A nutritional Niki smile for the heart!
"Being an idol just makes me hungry! And when I'm hungry, I'm noooo help at all!"

An idol who also works as a chef. He used to perform as part of a duo with Rinne Amagi. Though he's someone very easily swayed by the words of others, he has an overall chipper personality. He becomes wild and brusque once his stomach is empty. Normally, though, he has a friendly atmosphere about him and feels easy to talk to. With a mischievous voice, his performances are light and carefree.

Circles/Club: Niki's Kitchen, Overnight Outdoors Party
Age: 18-19
Birthday: October 5th (Libra)
Height/Weight: 176cm, 61kg
Hobby: Cooking
Specialty: He can recreate anything he tasted once
Voiced by: Tomohiro Yamaguchi

  • Ambiguously Bi: More ambiguously so than Rinne is, as he rejects Rinne's marriage requests due to gay marriage being illegal in the city. It's unknown if he'd say yes otherwise.
  • Best Friend: To Rinne.
  • Big Eater: Eats a lot, but somehow manages to maintain his appearance which is something Rinne lampshades. His shaved ice challenge in Ensemble Stars!! Basic has him ask for every possible topping. His official 5th Anniversary card has him labeled as Cospro’s Stomach.
  • Book Dumb: Implied, as he's the most airheaded member of Crazy:B and apparently didn't further his education past Junior High.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: Described by Rinne to have great potential as an idol, but has no interest in participating due to wanting to focus on his cooking.
  • Butt-Monkey: He’s constantly dragged into things and teased by Rinne whenever they appear together.
  • Can't Live with Them, Can't Live Without Them: How his relationship with Rinne comes across. Niki will endlessly complain about how Rinne keeps mooching money and food off of him and drags him around all the time up to and including making him work as an idol but for some reason refuses to simply kick him out or quit every time someone asks him about it. When Rinne decides to return to his village during the Main Story and finally leave Niki in peace, he is completely ready to go with him, showing that for all his complaining he likes spending time with him.
  • First Friend: To Rinne.
  • Flat Character: Currently the least fleshed out character of not only Crazy:B but of the two newly introduced units, second only to HiMERU whose character is deliberately kept shrouded in mystery. Since his introduction, his character has focused on his obsession with food, his lack of interest in being an idol, his relationship with Rinne... and very little of anything else. There also isn't any hidden or even implied other traits to him other than the fact that he may or may not be a cannibal like his father was implied to be. But this is Played for Laughs.
  • Food as Bribe: Is on the receiving end of this in Nightclub, and this being Niki, he falls for it.
  • Four-Temperament Ensemble: Sanguine.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: The nicest member of Crazy:B and has blue eyes to boot.
  • Nice Guy: Goes along with his Innocent Blue Eyes, though he can get grouchy when he's hungry.
  • Noodle Incident: Unknown if it actually involved him directly, but his father was a Chef on television before an incident occured that resulted in his show being cancelled.
  • Obsessed with Food: A big part of his character is this, along with his being a Supreme Chef and a Big Eater.
  • Only In It For The Food: Doesn't care much about becoming an idol compared to the rest of the group and tagged along with Rinne since he thought it would help put food on the table.
  • One-Track-Minded Hunger: The embodiment of this trope.
  • Real Men Can Cook: Being a Supreme Chef is a big part of his character.
  • Satellite Character: Mainly acts as this to Rinne, as the half of his character that isn't food-focused is centered on his backstory, current relationship and interactions with Rinne.
  • Shared Family Quirks: His father was also a chef.
  • Ship Tease: With Rinne, who has asked him to marry him multiple times. Niki often rejects him due to gay-marriage being illegal in the city.
  • Supreme Chef: Niki works as both an idol and chef for Ensemble Square, though he claims he would rather focus on being a chef. It’s stated that he can recreate anything after tasting it once.
