Adriana Picasso (13th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/adrianapicassodrit3.jpg

Age: 29
From: Padua, Veneto

"Mancava la Latina Loca... Eccola!" Translation

  • Named After Somebody Famous: Her drag surname is a clear reference to the iconic Spanish artist, Pablo Picasso.
  • Sobriquet Sex Switch: "Adriana" is the feminine version of her legal name.
  • Spicy Latina: Subverted. Adriana, being originally from Cuba, has all the credentials to be this, and she even describes herself as such with her entrance line. And yet, despite repeated pleas from Priscilla and the judges, both her talent show and her Drag Extravaganza runway are oddly low-key, and when in the bottom 2 she gets out-danced by La Prada who sends her packing.
  • Terrible Artist: Well, "terrible" is an overstatement, but her choice of talent show — upside-down painting, likely as a reference to her drag name inspiration — lacks the Camp previously employed by Manila Luzon or Samantha Ballentines. As a result, her skit is confusing and boring, and leads to her early elimination.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Adriana is the first eliminated this season of Drag Race.

Amy Krania (12th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amykraniadrit3_1.jpg

Age: 31
From: Milan, Lombardy

"Volevate un tè tranquillo e rilassante con le amiche? (laughs) Mi spiace, ma sono arrivata io a darvi fastidio, con un forte emicrania..." Translation

  • Punny Name: From "emicrania" (migraine).
  • Well-Trained, but Inexperienced: Amy has been doing drag for less than a year, and despite her natural poise, elegance, and eye for detail (best shown in her Cinema Iconic look, a near-carbon copy of Uma Thurman as The Bride), she's still quite fresh in the drag arts and a flat showing in the Episode 2 acting challenge sends her home.

Vezirja (11th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vezirjadrit3.jpg

Age: 32
From: Tirana, Albania

"Sono extra... comunitaria!" Translation and notes

  • I Can't Dance: The idea of performing in the Paola & Chiara Rusical rattles her to her core, as she reveals that moving around in drag is her greatest issue. The fact that she's paired with Melissa Bianchini, who's a rubber band on stage, as the Rusical leads doesn't help in the slightest. Not even her confusing Viva el amor! runway can help her bacon, and as expected she loses the Lip-Sync for Your Life and gets eliminated.
  • Never Accepted In Her Hometown: She claims to be the only drag queen in Albania, and part of the reason she's competing in Drag Race is to show her compatriots that drag is a valid and respectable art form.
  • Refuge in Audacity: Her entrance takes a page from RuPaul's Drag Race UK contestants Choriza May and Alexis St. Pete in lampshading her immigrant status, and later jokes that she arrived from Albania crossing the Adriatic sea with her own luxury dinghy.
  • Token Minority: Vezirja is the first Albanian drag queen to feature in Drag Race Italia and across the entire Drag Race franchise.

Lightning Aurora (10th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lightningauroradrit3.jpg

Age: 24
From: Cagliari, Sardinia

"Nelle favole di solito si incontrano streghe cattive, regine malefiche ed elfi che cantano. Mancava solo la principessa all'appello." Translation

  • Geek: She started off as a cosplayer before shifting to drag, and the "Lightning" part of her drag name comes from the homonymous protagonist of Final Fantasy XIII.
  • Trans Tribulations: She's the first transgender competitor on Drag Race Italia alongside Melissa Bianchini, and her premiere talent show is an emotional monologue about her experience, framed as a letter written to her pre-transition self.

Morgana Cosmica (9th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/morganacosmicadrit3.jpg

Age: 38
From: Bologna, Emilia-Romagna

"In mezzo a tante strilonze, c'è solo una Regina. Pronte ad un'edizione cosmica?" Translation

  • Accidental Misnaming: She jumbles Vezirja's name and calls her "Vetrilia", which sounds like a brand of glass cleaner. Cut to a montage of queens in confessional trying (and failing) to get Vezirja's name right.
  • Flat Character: Morgana's drag persona is very much a Girly Girl, wearing lots of corsets, feathers, and rhinestones. Across Episodes 3 and 4 the judges start to worry that this is becoming her "comfort zone" and push her to show versatility, to her mounting frustration.

Sissy Lea (8th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sissyleadrit3.jpg

Age: 44
From: London, United Kingdom

"Volevo ringraziare la mia mamma che mi ha fatto così bella. Ah, non ho ancora vinto? Sissy Lea from Sicily! Era ora." Translation

  • But Not Too Foreign: Living and working in London, UK, but she comes from the Southern Italian island of Sicily.
  • Punny Name: Her drag name is a pun on Sicily, her homeland.
  • Recursive Crossdressing: As a homage to her Sicilian roots, her Cinema Iconic look is a dragged-up take on Don Vito Corleone from The Godfather, turning the pinstripe suit into a full gown (but keeping the moustache).

La Prada (7th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lapradadrit3.jpg

Age: 25
From: Milan, Lombardy

"La prima ragazza va e read sulla Prada, la seconda va, read sulla Prada, la terza va, read sulla Prada. E poi continuano le read sulla Prada... Io ringrazio per l'air time." Translation

  • Doomed Defeatist: After she receives negative critiques in the premiere, La Prada vents in the Untucked segment that the judges "hated the talent show, hated the look" (when actually they were lukewarm at worst) and that she's ready to pack her bags. Adriana Picasso, who received the honest worst critiques of the episode, scolds her and recalls the hundreds of other queens who didn't even get on the show in the first place. La Prada ultimately Subverts this when she wins the following lip-sync.
  • Global Ignorance: Just moments after first entering the werkroom, she misinterprets the double-headed eagle on Vezirja's outfit (the national symbol of Albania) as one of the contrade heraldic animals from Siena, Tuscany.
  • Home Field Advantage: Once she lands in the bottom 2 in the premiere along with Adriana Picasso, the lip-sync song is revealed to be "Pazzeska" by guest judge M¥SS KETA, icon of the Milan nightlife scene. Not only is La Prada a Milanese girl through and through herself, but she had already collaborated with M¥SS KETA in the past, so she's completely in her element and manages to out-camp and out-dance Adriana.
  • Last-Name Basis: No, her drag name isn't a reference to fashion house Prada — it's her actual last name, preceded by the definite article as Northern Italian people usually do to talk about friends.
La Prada: Miuccia, you can't sue me.
  • Sailor Fuku: Her Back to School runway is a stereotypical anime schoolgirl who's late for school with requisite Toast of Tardiness held between her teeth.

Leila Yarn (6th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/leilayarndrit3.jpg

Age: 24
From: Palermo, Sicily

"Dove sono le mie nonnine preferite? Gara di uncinetto?" Translation

  • Gag Penis: Her talent show is a comedy striptease routine, and when she takes off her skirt she reveals a massive crocheted dick that has the judges in stitches. She later takes off the dick to reveal a likewise crocheted vagina and jumps into a split to conclude her performance.

  • Needlework Is for Old People: Her drag signature are her self-made knitted/crocheted outfits, and she jokingly calls herself the "granny" of the competition (despite being one of the youngest queens this season).

Sypario (5th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sypariodrit3.jpg

Age: 29
From: Naples, Campania

"Mi spiace... Sypario!" Translation

  • Bad Impressionists: Her choice for the Snatch Game is "Drag Hand" (a Lawyer-Friendly Cameo of Thing from The Addams Family), which she aims to represent by putting on a green zentai suit — as if to pretend that her entire body was green-screened away — except for her manicured right hand. However, the "impersonation" gets messy quickly, starting with silent physical comedy but then devolving into (voiced) tales of romance between her and another hand. This lands Sypario in the bottom 2.
  • Big Beautiful Woman: Sypario not only is the "big girl" of the season, she's also the tallest at 1.93m (6'4''), and this lends her drag an imposing and statuesque quality. Hilariously, she wins the musical chairs mini-challenge of Episode 2 because she can just shove her competitors away!
  • My Nayme Is: Her drag name is simply a spiced-up version (as the letter Y doesn't belong to the Italian alphabet) of "sipario", Italian for stage curtain, to recall her theatre background.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: After she has to lip-sync for her life alongside Lina in Episode 9, she keeps walking in front of her competitor and bothering her. Before eliminating her, Priscilla gives Sypario a strong reprimand for this unexpected display of unsportmanship, especially since Sypario had been nothing but graceful and fair in the competition until then.

La Sheeva (3rd)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lasheevadrit3.jpg

Age: 37
From: Rome, Lazio

"Ne avete visto finora di stronze. (laughs) Peccato che l'originale ha fatto il suo ingresso." Translation

  • Braces of Orthodontic Overkill: Her Back to School runway has these to represent a "nerd" schoolgirl, and judge Chiara Francini loves the detail as she used to have them herself.
  • Conflict Ball: In Episode 5 La Sheeva grabs a serious case of this, when she feels that Leila (who won the mini-challenge and decided the teams for the maxi-challenge) threw her under the bus by putting her in a mismatched team. Leila does admit that she made a strategic choice because This Is a Competition and she tearfully apologises, but despite this La Sheeva can't shake the nervousness, essentially gives up on her team-mates, and lands in the bottom after an unfocused performance.
  • Inferiority Superiority Complex: As she slowly opens up during the course of the competition, it's evident that most of her jerkassery comes from a deep-seated insecurity.
  • Moral Guardians: Her role in the Paola & Chiara Rusical is a satire of Moige, an Italian advocacy group for the wellness of children infamous for its perceived Catholic, homophobic and anti-sexuality bias. Here, La Sheeva portrays Moige as a dark nun who poisons the Iezzi sisters and brings about their Darkest Hour.
  • Punny Name: Her drag name comes from the god Shiva from Hindu Mythology, but it's also pronounced the same way as the adjective "lasciva" (lewd, lustful).
  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: She admits that most of her bitchy and overbearing behaviour, that makes her struggle in challenges such as the Drag Con panels or the Snatch Game, is the result of her inner insecurities. Guest judge Tiziano Ferro clocks her on this almost immediately in Episode 6, and Priscilla encourages her to show her vulnerability after reassuring her that it won't be a liability in the competition.

Silvana della Magliana (3rd + Miss Congeniality)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/silvanadellamaglianadrit3.jpg

Age: 44
From: Rome, Lazio

"Io sono Silvana! Sono una drag! Sono italiana! Non mangio meloni, ma solo banana. Con tutto il mio cuor, hasta Maglianaaaaaa!" Translation

  • Character Catchphrase: "Hasta Magliana!", coming from the Spanish expression hasta mañana ("see you tomorrow").
  • Named After Somebody Famous: "Silvana" comes from '50s actress Silvana Pampanini. Meanwhile, "della Magliana" (meaning "from the Magliana", a popular neighbourhood of Rome) is a reference to Banda della Magliana, a Roman criminal organisation active across the 1970s-1980s which inspired the novel Romanzo criminale and its film and TV adaptations, of which Silvana is a fan.
  • Nice Girl: She's named Signorina Simpatia (Miss Congeniality) of this edition come the finale.

Melissa Bianchini (Runner-Up)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/melissabianchinidrit3.jpg

Age: 36
From: Rome, Lazio

"E per la gioia dei grandi e dei piccini, è arrivata la vostra Melissa Bianchini." Translation

  • Amazonian Beauty: Melissa has a penchant for Action Girl-esque characters in her drag, often with her well-defined abs in full view.
  • Commonality Connection: Vezirja's speech about feeling safe within the LGBTQ+ community across borders resonates with Melissa, as she too is a queer immigrant.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: In Episode 2, she tearfully recounts to her castmates her difficult life experience, including being taken away from her birth family for some unspecified "bad things" they did and becoming homeless once she immigrated to Italy.
  • Draconic Humanoid: Her Twist runway represents a half-dragon girl in golden armour. The twist comes when Melissa breathes smoke out of her mouth.
  • Hair Flip: Her talent show is a high-energy dance performance that includes bate cabelo, a form of intense hairography that is a staple of Brazilian drag and that leaves both the judges and her fellow queens astonished.
  • Humble Hero: Melissa is an all-around sweetheart, even when taking a very obvious frontrunner position since early in the competition. Best seen in Episode 4, when she helps and comforts Silvana when the latter has a panic attack regarding the sewing challenge, and at the end when despite barely losing on the win to La Sheeva she proudly states that her sister deserved it.
  • Jack of All Trades: Melissa is part of a rare group of Drag Race contestants who can turn their hand at any challenge, in her case with an emphasis on dressmaking and dancing but not performing half bad in acting and improv either (and in her second language too!), and who never fall below safe.
  • Spicy Latina: Brazilian by birth, Melissa embodies the trope to a T, starting with the premiere episode which she dominates both during the talent show and the runway.

Lina Galore (Winner)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/linagaloredrit3.jpg

Age: 34
From: Milan, Lombardy

"Non ho esagerato con il blush, sono solo in imbarazzo... per le altre." Translation

  • Curtain Clothing: Her Cinema Iconic look is a reference to the iconic scene of Marion Crane's murder from Psycho, with the shower curtain wrapped around Lina's body to form a dress. The runway wins high praise from the judges for the attention to detail.
  • The Fashionista: Her runways receive praise from the judges for her attention to detail, fashion-forward sensibility, and love for references (sometimes even multiple ones in a single look!).
  • Hairy Girl: Normally not a feature of her drag, but her Eleganza Extravaganza coronation runway is a deconstructed gown that leaves her boy chest and legs uncovered, revealing that both of them are unshaven.
  • Named After Somebody Famous: She took her drag name from actress Lina Sastri.
