Saki Misaki

Shuuko and Kia Marukura

  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Shuko doesn’t make an appearance after the first season. Eventually subverted wih Kia, as The Bus Came Back in Mechtanium Surge.
  • Fiction 500: In their first appearance, Kia brags that he could buy Dan’s entire street and bulldoze it to build a mini-mall. Given that the couple are shown handing out jewels like candy at their housewarming party, it’s probably not an exaggeration.

Kato

  • Fan Disservice: The only character seen in a swimsuit is the elderly butler who is seemingly missing teeth.
  • The Jeeves: Functions as Marucho’s, and by extension the Battle Brawlers’, butler when they’re on Earth.
  • Non-Action Guy: Is one of the few characters to appear in all 4 seasons, but never directly involves himself in the battle with evil.
  • Supreme Chef: Is apparently known for his world famous loin tips.
  • Vocal Evolution: In the last season, his voice becomes wheezier and he gains a British accent.

Daisy Makimoto

  • Always Someone Better: Prettier, smarter and more talented than her sister Julie. Even the illusion generated by Clayf manages to outplay her briefly.
  • Cool Big Sis: When Julie was feeling down at screwing up at a drama festival, Daisy pointed out that her comedic mishaps were popular with the audience to help her feel better about herself.

Shiori Kazami

  • Missing Mom: She dies prior to the series, having been bedridden in the hospital for awhile before passing.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Zigzagged. The dub changes it so that she merely slips into a coma rather than outright die, but we never see her wake back up.

Shun's Grandfather

  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Despite both Dan’s mother and Marucho’s father playing minor roles in later seasons, Shun’s grandfather never reappears, with there being no indication Shun even has a family. Given his advanced age, he might not even be alive.
  • Dub Personality Change: Originally, Shun's grandfather was actually quite caring for Shun, being sympathetic towards his situation after Shiori's death and explaining her history with Skyress, and attacking Runo and Marucho simply out of following a grieving Shun's wishes to be left alone. In the dub however, he's an Adaptational Jerkass as he's changed to an abusive Fantasy Forbidding Grandfather when as soon as Shiori slips into a coma, he immediately tells Shun he has to stop playing Bakugan and focus on his ninja training, and later attacks Marucho and Runo in order to enforce this and prevent them from seeing Shun. In fact, a scene that was originally him calling Shun to tell him Shiori's condition was getting worse, the dub changes it to him telling Shun that he's going to be in charge of his life once Shiori is out of the picture.
  • Large Ham: Dub or sub, he's quite boisterous of his victory when he manages to keep Marucho and Runo out from seeing Shun.

Michael Gehabich

Alice's grandfather who had been working on a dimensional portal to the Bakugan homeworld of Vestroia, when the energy of the Silent Core as Naga absorbed it leaked into his lab and corrupted him and Alice, transforming him into the villainous Hal-G while Alice was transformed into Masquerade. Hal-G became Naga's partner in his attempts to conquer Vestroia and Earth and capture the Infinity Core, but when Drago was powered up into Infinity Dragonoid by the Infinity Core and blasted Naga, destroying him and claiming the Silent Core, Hal-G was reverted back into Michael and reunited with Alice.

After that, Michael returned to working on his portal to Vestroia to help the Brawlers in their fight with the Vexos, but during a battle between Alice, Chan Lee, and Shadow Prove, the lab is heavily damaged. Thanks to funding from Klaus, Michael is able to rebuild it, along with mass-producing it, and it is able to allow Klaus to travel to Vestal to set up a home there.

  • Nerves of Steel: Didn't shown her fear when Barodius attempt to kill her when she refuse to tell the location of Code Eve.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Serena appear more taller than other female characters.

Jin

A Neathian warrior who was killed by Barodius' forces.
  • The Lost Lenore: His death was the reason why Fabia has a grudge against the Gundalian Army, especially Kazarina. Her Bakugan, Aranaut, originally belonged to him.

     Rivals and Friends

Nene

Akira

Shuji

A street bully who also loves to brawl, but never won a single match.
  • The Bus Came Back: Reappears in Gundalian Invaders losing to Shun. Especially notable, given that season’s general lack of returning characters beyond the main four.
  • Butt-Monkey: He loses every battle he has onscreen and only puts up a fight when aided by his younger siblings. Dan never even pretends to take him seriously.
  • Goldfish Poop Gang: He and Akira play this role in the first few episodes, before being phased out in favour of the Myth Arc.
  • Signature Mon: Notably averted, with Shuji having a different main Bakugan every time he battles.
