Awesome / Total Drama All-Stars Rewrite

  • In "Heroes Vs. Villains," Noah first dismisses Courtney's whining about how Gwen "stole" her boyfriend by saying no one cares (which others agree with, including Sierra), then he later openly questions why Courtney of all people is on the hero team, given her Chronic Backstabbing Disorder tendencies. Then when she again brings up what Gwen did, Noah cuts her off with three short sentences in rapid order:
Noah: You pushed him away! You lost him! Get over it!!
  • Give Brick credit, because it's certainly due in "Saving Private Leechball". When Jo tracks him down in a cave, paintball gun loaded with leeches and at the ready, the cadet first calls out her selfishness (which she herself acknowledges), but he also whips out dual paintball guns he'd brought to the island. Brick then holds his own in a gun- uh, leechfight with her; really, the only reason he got hit was because Courtney panicked and used him as a Human Shield.
    • And did I forget to mention he does all this with a twisted ankle?
    • Brick gets another one in "Moon Madness": he's surrounded by cute animals under the effects of the Blue Harvest Moon, it's still dark out, and he doesn't have any night-vision googles, so he's terrified. But then he remembers Owen (who's recently taken a serious beating courtesy of Mal), casts aside his fear, and carries his wounded friend out of harm's way. All the way to the finish line.
  • In "Food Fright," the second the eating ban on Owen is lifted, he reminds the veterans and newbies just why he's the Big Eater on Total Drama. He scarfs down the rest of the giant pancake, even with all the nasty goodies Chris and Chef stuffed in there, and keeps pace with Alejandro straight up to the end of the Salad Spinner. And after he wins, he lets loose an earthshaking fart... right in Alejandro's face.
Owen: Aaaaw, yeaah! The smell of victory! (Snickers) SMELL IT!
  • "Singin' in the Pain": both musical numbers are impressive in their own ways; Owen singing about his feelings for Izzy, and Gwen (who's finally snapped after Courtney blames her for losing her voice after she spent the entire time singing mean things about Gwen and Duncan under the pretense she's vocalising) doing a rock number that vents all of her frustration with Courtney. The latter wins.
    • All the more impressive considering this was one of the episodes the creators came up with by themselves.
  • On the first Aftermath, Harold's boxing match with Lightning. Even though Harold gets the crap beaten out of him by Lightning, Leshawna punches out one of Lightning's teeth in revenge. And when Lightning retaliates, his punch ends up colliding with Eva instead. Cue the epic No Holds Barred Beat Down.
  • Props to Noah in "Suckers Punched": he willingly volunteers to take Dawn's place in the match because she'd have to fight the mutant bear cub she found in the previous episode, and even when his opponent turns out to be Eva, he doesn't go back on it. Heck, Noah even manages to hold out longer than Scott and Sierra did in their respective fights.
    • Then when Eva learns that Chris had no intention of letting her back into the show even if she had won, she promptly slugs Noah out of the ring and chases down the jerk. It takes a whole lot of tranquilizers to knock her out, and even then, she still punches out one of Chris' teeth.
    • Speaking of "Suckers Punched", Owen has so far spent the whole season terrified beyond belief of Mal. But after Mal savagely beats Izzy up, Owen forgets all of his fear, challenges Mal to fight and actually manages to land a few hits on him!
    • Compared to canon, Duncan gets fed up with Courtney and Gwen's fight and takes matters into his own hands by laying down the law with Courtney.
Duncan: ...But, call me crazy, but there’s only so much of the kicking and control issues a dude can take before he just says, “Later psycho!” I’m with Gwen now, end of story, GET OVER IT! (Courtney’s mouth falls open) and while we’re on the subject of Gwen, LAY OFF!! If Gwen really were a “cold-blooded boyfriend stealer,” would she be busting her hump all season trying to be friends with YOU again? (Courtney gasps, Gwen smiles at Duncan)
  • Duncan blowing up Chris's mansion in "You Regatta Be Kidding Me" becomes even more awesome in this version because this time, more salt is rubbed into the wound when the other contestants start cheering for him. Even Courtney admits it was pretty awesome.
  • Ezekiel getting his original personality restored on the 10th Aftermath Special (with Anne Maria then giving him a gigantic makeover to restore his physical appearance too). Also Harold and Leshawna capturing the Feral Zeke when he attacks during the elimination ceremony in the previous episode.
  • "If You Can Dodge a Monster, You Can Dodge a Ball":
    • Zoey protecting Courtney from the animatronic monster's dodgeball attack, even though they've been bickering the entire challenge.
    • Noah briefly manages to save Owen from Mal's wrath by conning him with the supposed DVD showing his greatest hits.
    • Dawn then saves them for real by siccing Izzy on Mal. Said crazy girl gives him a good beating (getting payback for her own beatdown earlier in the season) before running off again.
Izzy: Heh, if I can handle hand-to-hand combat with a bald, emotionally withdrawn cook in a Halloween costume; I can take a skinny, mentally traumatized wannabe villain with a freaky haircut!
Mal: Hey! Who’re you calling “skinny?!
    • And after the challenge is complete, Gwen coerces Chris at dodgeball-point to get Duncan out of prison and out of the spa hotel (turns out having Chris Mclean for a roommate isn't worth all that luxury). Sure, she has to go to Boney Island for the night, but if you want proof that Gwen's no pushover, there ya go.
  • "Bold and the Booty-ful" has a couple moments:
    • When Gwen can't find any intact paintings in what's left of Chris' "cottage", she first knocks Chris so he can't penalize her, then she quickly draws her own portrait of him. Even the narcissist admits it's well done... well, before he claims she made his chin look too big. But Gwen still sets him up for this little gem:
Gwen: Are you kidding me?! How does such a big ego fit inside such a teeny-tiny brain?
Chris: Hey! You don't need brains to host reality TV!!! ...(Realizes what he said) ...wait.
Confessional Gwen: Well at least he admits it. (giggles)
    • Owen stands his ground against the giant animatronic monster so he can get to a captured Izzy on the rebuilt Chrismore. Even if he's seriously outclassed in a physical fight, our favorite chubby buddy still wins by unleashing a fart inside its jaws so powerful that it melts the robot's face off and shuts it down.
    • Izzy for her part could've escaped her bonds at any time, and when she does, she chews out the robot for beating up Owen. Then she reveals that her alter ego, "Explosivo," went and wired Mount Chrismore to explode. Sure, Owen gets blamed for it being blown up again and is therefore eliminated, but he's not broken up about it.
  • The Final Wreck-Ening has plenty, considering it's the finale.
    • When Mal reveals himself to her and attempts to threaten her, Gwen's reaction is to laugh in his face and call him a cheesy villain.
    • Duncan shows that he got his edge back by delivering a hurricane of swears to Mal, leaving him speechless.
    • Plus he knocks down a tree with his bare hands to cross the first moat. Strong and clever.
    • Later on, he completely writes off Mal's boasts before knocking him out during the challenge.
Mal: You can’t beat me! I’m the ultimate villain! I’m the king of Juvie!
Duncan: Big whoop, I survived actual jail. And dude, you got a lot to learn about the real world.
    • Gwen winning in the canon ending.
    • No matter who wins, Gwen takes the chance to use the briefcase to nail Chris in the kiwis.
Chris: AIIIIEEECUCARACHA!!! (Grabs onto his kiwis and falls to the ground, holding them in pain; speaks in a squeaky voice) so THAT’S what it feels like!
Gwen: THAT’S for all the crap you’ve put us through all… forever! (The contestants all laugh at Chris’ pain) and, hear this; NO WAY am I, or ANY OF US, EVER coming back to this dump again!
  • Some of the original Bonus Clips as well.
    • When Duncan gets to adult prison, he discovers his cellmate is none other than one of Gwen's friends from home, Reaper, and quickly manages to assert his dominance by revealing to him that he was sent to jail by Chris. In fact, Duncan later reveals on his Aftermath appearance that his reputation as the guy who got sent to jail by Chris has allowed him to survive adult prison and earn himself a reputation..
    • Instead of her humiliating canonical clip of being vomited on by sharks and crying, Courtney instead ends up in Japan and battles two sumo wrestlers, defeating one and scaring the other into retreating.
  • The Grand Finale, "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding," deserves special mention for being the hilarious, heartwarming and awesome ending that the original series never got. Some highlights are:
    • Dakota's no longer a monster, but she's kept her Super-Strength, kicking an aisle clean in half (which DJ's Mama does not approve).
    • Lindsay actually managed to write a best-selling novel. One that's even gotten an Oprah sticker.
    • Even though Alejandro easily talks his way around the lie detector at first, Bridgette then nails him with questions about his feelings for Heather until he gets splattered with balloons containing fire ants for lying that he'd sooner win a million dollars than have Heather for a girlfriend.
    • Jo admits after seeing a compilation of his best oneliners that Noah outclasses her as a Deadpan Snarker.
    • After Topher reveals a clip of Geoff having pre-wedding jitters, Jasmine shows up to sort him out good. Chris convinces her that they both stay for the show, but she can keep an eye on the Chris-wannabe.
    • Duncan and Alejandro giving Max a good Wedgie for mocking Gwen and Heather.
    • Chris tells Ella to clam up; cue the birds enchanted by her singing attacking him. After the commercial break, he's now in a Troubled Fetal Position, insisting Chef hug him.
    • Sugar pummelling Scott and Justin, showing just how deadly she is as an ex-beauty pageant queen.
      • Scott then gets a little moment (and some comeuppance) for himself when he angrily makes his Arch-Enemy, Fang, run off by punching his nose.
    • Duncan stopping Chris from tormenting Courtney about her behavior on the show by having Izzy pile drive him.
    • After Gwen reveals that Duncan's father disowned him for being sent to adult prison in order to keep his reputation in the police force, Duncan gets to say the following on international TV to his father and co-workers:
Duncan: Hey cops! I’m Commissioner Carter’s jailbird son! Have fun with the world’s crappiest dad looking out for your kids! (Flips two middle fingers, which are blurred out)
    • Gwen tells Cody that she's willing to let his past nonsense slide, but also warns him he's on thin ice... and that Duncan won't be on parole forever.
    • Geoff throwing away Blaineley's million dollar bribe for him to call off the wedding. Followed by MacArthur tazing Blaineley when she throws a tantrum over Geoff's aforementioned Act of True Love.
      • Even more awesome is the fact that after marrying Bridgette, Geoff participates on The Ridonculous Race (which still occurs in the fic's continuity) and wins. That's right; Geoff gave up a million dollars to remain with the love of his life, but eventually earns a million dollars anyway (even if he does split it with others). Now THAT'S good karma.
    • B's speech about being on Total Drama when Chris announces that all of the first and second generation contestants are now freed from their contracts.
B: Now look, ya’ll; yeah this show’s given us some crappy experiences and we’ve met SOME crappy people, (glares at Scott) SCOTT! (Scott looks away) But you guys can’t hide we’ve also had some COOL times on the show. Like all the friends we’ve made (Cameron, Mike, and Zoey smile at each other), all the love some of us found, (Geoff and Bridgette, Sam and Dakota, and Noah and Dawn smile at each other) heck, as sucktacular as it was, we got to push ourselves to the extreme to see how far we’d go to get what we want (Alejandro and Heather smirk with pride). So yeah, not the best way to spend the best years of our lives...but was it all worth it? I’d say so, man!
