    Episode 109: Frigid Propositions
  • Yasha reveals that she got a magical tattoo before they parted from Orly! She used emerald (and a lot of residuum), granting a bonus to Dexterity. The tattoo goes down her neck and onto her shoulder, and spells out ORPHANMAKER, with a vine-and-flower motif.
  • Veth takes her family out to dinner at a fancy restaurant in Nicodranas. There's no reservation, so she needs to make a Persuasion check to get a good spot. Her roll of 23 gets them one of the best spots in the place, and excellent service.
  • Matt's description of the Rexxentrum Archive is wonderful. The Nein didn't really pay much attention to it the last time they came in, given the circumstances of their arrival, but now they get to drink it in and it is amazing.
  • The Nein properly meets High Curator Yudala Fon, head of the Cobalt Soul. They take a moment to thank the Nein for their aid during the assault on Rexxentrum, and they specifically praise Beau for her actions.
    • After the meeting, the Nein marvels at how far Beau has come. She is starting to come to terms with the fact that someone who was (and is) anti-authority is now kind of the Man.
Beau: I've always been the Man, Caduceus.
  • The pandemic prevents Matt from handing things to players across the table, so he snuck into the studio early to slip a letter into the back of Liam's folder so that he could tell him at a dramatic moment.

Episode 110: Dinner with the Devil
  • Beau takes the lead when Caleb comes clean to the Nein. Her ready assumption of leadership shows how far she has come.
  • The Nein settle on a goal: they will find out how far the Empire's corruption goes. They'll save it if they can, but burn it to the ground if they can't.
  • The Nein decide to dress formally for the next night's dinner.
Jester: Let's make them feel uncomfortable in their own home.
    • They do eventually wear their ball attire from episode 98, with some armor for those who wear it.
  • Jester Sends a message to Trent, accepting the invitation. She gets her message through completely, in 25 words exactly.
Jester: I'm getting good at this, you guys!
  • Jester asks if they should just murder Trent tomorrow.
Caleb: Let's make that Plan G.
Caduceus: Plan G? Wow. I thought that would be Plan C. That's growth.
  • The Nein gets Caleb to admit that he was a different person back in the day.
Beau: That's the first time I've heard you admit you were a different person back then.
  • Both clerics cast Word of Recall in Nicodranas, Caduceus at the Wildmother's lighthouse and Jester in her room at the Chateau. Matt's descriptions are fantastic.
  • Right before the Nein teleport to Rexxentrum, Beau looks out of a window to see if she can find Professor Thaddeus. A Natural 20 allows her to catch a glimpse of him as he flies by. Doubles as Funny.
  • The Nein gets a new wardrobe for their trip to Eiselcross. The descriptions each of them give are fantastic... except for Fjord, who just gets a new coat.
  • A History check of 31 lets Beau recognize a painting as depicting the final battle between the Dwendalian Empire and the Julous Dominion.
  • The Nein pull a power move on Eodwulf at the dinner. Veth takes the first seat he was going to take, Yasha takes the second, and Caduceus goes to the third... only to hold it out for him.
    • When Eodwulf makes a racially insensitive comment towards Caduceus, Caduceus immediately gets a dig in at him in return.
Eodwulf: (half-grinning) And you, what are you?
Caduceus: Vegetarian, so I hope the meal reflects that.
  • Despite the obvious stress he’s under, Caleb keeps his cool and avoids dissociation for the entire dinner, holding a conversation with Trent even as the Archmage gaslights and manipulates him. That kind of bravery in the face of one’s abuser is incredible.
  • Both Jester and Caleb make Insight checks during the dinner. They each get a result of 25, Jester from a Natural 20.
    • This feat is matched later on, when Caleb and Caduceus each get Natural 20s on an Insight check.
  • As the dinner comes to a close, Caduceus gives him a gift: a magnificent The Reason You Suck speech, outlining the exact ways Trent has fooled himself.
Caduceus: May I say before you go. I think perhaps you are one of the most powerful mages that I’ve ever had the pleasure to be in the presence of. And for this I would offer a gift. Which I think it has been a long time since anyone has pointed out to you that you are a fool. Pain doesn’t make people. It’s love that makes people. Pain is inconsequential. It’s love that saves them. And you would know that, but you have none around you. You said so yourself, you surround yourself with lies and deceptions. And I wish for you in the future to find someone who would mourn you when you are gone. Respectfully.
    • Notably, this little speech is the one thing that seems to rattle the otherwise calm and collected Trent, who departs abruptly after Caduceus has said his piece. And judging by Astrid and Eodwulf's reactions, nobody has talked back to Trent in that way before.
    • For further consideration; Caduceus is a Grave cleric, and the Wildmother has tasked him and his family with a divine duty to remember and honor the dead. He flat out said, in his own words, how much he hates Trent, as not even his divine responsibilities and his principles about life and death can convince him to shed a single tear for the man's life.
    • On an episode of Talks Machina, Taliesin revealed that Caduceus spoke up because he was stunned at how stupid that he felt Trent was being, and figured that Trent needed a reality check from somebody.
Darth Zaida: Can you imagine what it must be like to be Trent. Like, you think you're going to have a fun night of mindgames with one of your former students and demonstrate to his current allies how powerful you are, and then one of them, specifically the one who looks like what would happen if a cow went to an arts school, does the verbal equivalent of pantsing you and pushing you down a flight of stairs. Like. Caleb is the one who controls fire, but apparently Caduceus is the one who burns people.
    • And for one last element of Awesome, the campaign wrap-up reveals that Trent is the sort of person who regularly casts Detect Thoughts on everyone around him to see all the edges he can get over them, including in casual conversation. In other words, when Cadeuceus was giving his speech, Trent could see that the grave cleric completely and honestly meant every word he said and how much he was pitying Trent in that moment... and that rattles him like nothing else ever had before.

Episode 111: New Homes and Old Friends
  • Liam's description of Widogast's Nascent Nine-Sided Tower is absolutely stellar. He revealed that he has been planning this for over a year, and it shows.
Travis: How long have you been working on this?
    Caleb: Me or Liam?
    • Widogast's Nascent Nine-Sided Tower is also revealed to work on slightly different mechanics than Mordekainen's Magnificent Mansion, since it involves Dunamancy and is loosely inspired by the Archmage's Bane. In Mordekainen's Magnificent Mansion, the created items disappear when the spell is dismissed; in Caleb's variant, items remain, as is discussed in Jester's art studio on her quarters. However, the arcane items cannot exist outside of the demiplane, and any material plane items left in the Tower get ejected when the spell is cancelled, just like Mordekainen's Magnificent Mansion.
    • Additionally, Caleb reveals that the Nine-Sided Tower is based upon the party's experiences with the Archmage's Bane, but is only 1/1000th the size.
    • Caleb also implies he's still developing this particular spell, so it's possible that in the future, a bigger, more complex demiplane could be created, that becomes more similar to the Archmage's Bane!
  • In the Gentleman's Bar, Beauregard finally gets to tie all the pieces of the Eyes of Nine together in front of the whole group (seen here). Even though she stresses that it's pure speculation, the rest of the group - including Caleb agree that her research and analysis is strong, if circumstantial. They all agree - with relatively little hesitation - to check on Mollymauk's grave to see if they can ask his shade any questions about what he knew.
  • Upon visiting the grave, They have difficulty finding the body, so Jester does a Scrying ritual. Artagan remarks "interesting..." before showing Jester that Mollymauk appears to be treading through the same snow as her earlier scrying in the Gentleman's bar. No one is sure if it's Molly, or Lucien, or a new person entirely...but the purple man is walking around Exandria, and possibly in the direction that the Nein is heading anyways. Everyone on the cast was floored, and Taliesin appears to have some knowledge of what precisely is up.
Taliesin: I'm not saying a fucking word.

    Episode 112: The Chase Begins
  • The two-week adulting delay gave the animators time to slightly update the intro. The cloak blows off of the grave marker, and new characters have been added to the open book: Trent, Artagan, Reani, Spurt and Twiggy, Vilya, and Mollymauk.
  • Some good Insight rolls from the cast, especially Marisha and Liam, get Vess to talk more about the Tomb Takers. She confirms a good deal of that part of Beau's overall theory, to Marisha's visible delight.
  • Vess asks why the Nein are so concerned with Lucien. Caleb handles it well, telling her the technical truth without getting into the heart of the matter. Moreover, Beau pulls off a clever bluff (that the Dynasty may have hired the Tomb Takers to head up north as well) and uses Vess' own words against her (that she's worried about the weaponry/knowledge falling into the wrong hands) to convince the archmage to accelerate preparations for the voyage.
  • Fjord communes with the Wildmother, and swears his Oath! He has sworn the Oath of the Open Sea, a homebrew creation of Matt's.
  • Molly isn't the only long unseen character who has returned... the ship is attacked by more of Uk'otoa's servants, led by an undead Avantika.
    • She tries to grapple Fjord and throw him overboard, but Travis' Natural 20 Strength check lets him escape her grasp.
      Matt: You lucky fucker!

Episode 113: A Heart Grown Cold
  • Beau attacks the chuul that is grappling her. She hits and uses Stunning Strike, but Matt's saving throw (17) allows it to shrug off the stun. However, Taliesin reminds them all that the chuuls are all under his Bane spell, which affects the saving throw. The new result, 15, means that the chuul is stunned. This would otherwise be normal, but this is a continuation of last week's combat, meaning that Taliesin had to keep this in mind for a week.
  • Fjord casts Command on Avantika and the chuul grappling Veth. Both of them fail their saves, causing Avantika to drop the Cloven Crystal and the chuul to release Veth.
    • Plus, thanks to some quick haggling from Laura, Matt rules that Fjord can grab the unattended Crystal.
  • Caleb, having taken a nasty hit, decides to change things up: he changes into a T-Rex, to the cast's delight. Doubles as Funny, due to the some of the cast's reactions.
    Liam: This. Boat. Has. Everything.
  • One of the ship's crewmembers gets a moment with one of the ship's enchanted mounted ballistae. With a clear shot in sight, he swings it around into position by jumping off the side of the ship and holding on, fires point-blank, and sends one of the attacking creatures (that was grappling both clerics) flying into the clouds, impaled on a crackling bolt of energy.
  • A villainous moment of victory for Avantika: having retrieved the Cloven Crystal, she makes a successful retreat. Looks like Uk'otoa is going to be free very soon...or not, as the Nein made a brilliant comeback by chasing her down as orcas. There were a number of very high rolls, including a shocking number of Natural 20s, and the cumulative successes resulted in them managing to catch up as she fled in the water, not having rested and thus still spent from the earlier attack.
  • Fjord gets the HDYWTDT on Avantika! He channels divine power, transforming the Star Razor, and thrusts it into her. The power causes her body to explode, splitting in two.
    • This causes the weapon to become Exalted, revealing it as a Vestige of Divergence.
    • The orcas calls summoned other nearby orcas in turn, and they eat Avantika's corpse. She's probably done for real. Probably.
      • It becomes even more awesome when one remembers that Stone's family funerary practice is to leave the bodies exposed so that the wild creatures may feed on them. It is almost like the Wildmother herself is blessing Fjord to call himself her Paladin and a member of the Stone family.

    Episode 114: An Open Window
  • While tonight’s Halloween costumes are all ridiculous, many of them are also technically impressive. Laura and Liam both did some amazing makeup effects for their Gentleman and Astrid costumes, respectively. There’s also plenty of endurance on display: Marisha spends the entire game in a fake neck cast that couldn’t have been too comfortable, and Ashley goes over a third of the way through the episode without taking off any of her bulky Henry Crabgrass costume. And by some miracle, Matt-as-Artagan’s ridiculous oversized fuzzy eyebrows stay firmly on his face the whole game.
  • Jester scries on Molly/Lucien again, successfully... only to discover that he notices her and has noticed her all this time! He talks to her, thanking her for putting him on "her" scent, and retrieves papers from whichever location he was in before he left. The Nein helped him somehow, and he's heading somewhere, and he hopes they'll join him there.
  • Caleb gently puts his foot down with Veth. It was different when they were still basically strangers, but they have all bonded now. He doesn't want her to keep going on about how he's the leader. In return, Veth points out the ways in which she thinks he really is the leader. Doubles as Heartwarming.
    • Even so, Caleb is firm on that point. He needed the confidence boost then, but he doesn't now, thanks to her, so he'd like her to stop.
  • When they can't reach Vess, Fjord asks the guards to open up her room for them. He has to make an Intimidation check. Travis rolls a Natural 20, for a result of 30.
    • When they look over Vess' room, Caleb looks for anything arcane that hasn't already been taken. Liam rolls an Investigation check of 20 for a result of 31.
Matt: You guys are rolling the 20s tonight!
  • Moment of awesome for Molly/Lucien. We have been lead to believe that Vess is a powerful member of the Cerberus Assembly and yet Molly/Lucien killed her with no difficulty and no one found out until the Mighty Nein went to investigate.

Episode 115: Fetching Fables and Frosty Friends
  • Caduceus is acting as the rear guard for the party on their trek through the snow. Taliesin rolls a Natural 20, the first roll of the session.
Matt: The last couple of sessions have brought the 20s!
  • The Nein have to catch up with Dagen. Yasha uses the Skingorger as a snowboard. She makes a Dexterity save of 15. She uses Caduceus' discarded shield as a ramp, getting some air before coming to a stop. She sprays Caduceus with ice as she does. Doubles as Funny.
  • Caleb reads The Cat Prince to Jester. It's a lovely story that relates easily to Jester's isolation growing up and her relationship with the Traveler. But the story also works well as a tale from Caleb's childhood, igniting his interest in magic and cats. It turns out that Liam actually wrote the story that very day.
  • Matt ordered a mini for Dagen. It didn't arrive in time for the night's session, so Matt had to jury-rig one. He apologized for how it looked, but Marisha told him not to apologize. She was absolutely right, because the mini was amazing.
  • It takes three tries, but Beau is able to successfully stun the Yeti leader with Stunning Strike.
    Beau/Marisha: Ha ha!
  • In an additionally heartwarming moment, the Mighty Nein managed to deescalate the conflict and Yasha healing one of the Yeti that ends up going down to Mammoth!Cad. This speaks a lot to how far they have come that they are now able to pull back and end a conflict in a peaceful fashion.

    Episode 116: Under Timeless Ice
  • The most dramatic and epic use of Thunder Step yet; seeing Caduceus in danger, Fjord takes a chance to slide in his direction. Succeeding, Fjord grabs Caduceus and uses Thunder Step to get him out of danger...with the bonus of destroying the last enemies as a result!
  • At the end of the episode, the Nein finally catch up to Lucien and the Tomb Takers. They have seen evidence of the team curbstomping everyone they have come across, and then they see it with their own eyes. They also see Lucien killing someone just by touching them. Afterwards, Lucien casually turns to them and apologizes for the display.

Episode 117: The Tortoise and The Dare
  • An Arcana check of 30 reveals that the items in the chamber the Nein met the Tomb Takers is a Threshold Crest, used to magically move items... like potentially a city.
  • Upon encountering a frost worm, Matt unleashes this utterly jaw-dropping scream that doesn't even sound human. The cast understandably freaks out.
  • The frost worm stuns the entire party... except Jester. She saves the party from being wiped out in a few rounds with a clutch Polymorph, turning it into a snow bunny.
    • The Polymorph drops because the worm/bunny manages to attack Fjord, who activated the Star Razor ability to deal an automatic 1d12 of radiant damage to every creature who attacks him. Travis rolled a 1 on the attack, but it turns out that snow bunnies have exactly 1 hp. Jester solves the problem by casting Polymorph once more, turning the frost worm into a turtle.
    • As that was happening, Yasha and Caleb managed to beat the DC 20 they needed to recover from being stunned. Yasha turns the turtle on its shell and she starts to pet its plastron in an attempt to calm it down, Jester joins her, and Caleb decides to bury it under the snow so that it could not get back on its feet and attack. The turtle somehow manages to set itself free, it gets back on its feet and tries to attack Jester.
    • Despite the difficult terrain caused by the Nein moving it onto an ice sheet nearby and Caleb's spell that reduced its size even more, the worm/turtle refuses to give up and tries to attack the Mighty Nein once more before they leave. Matt rules out that if they happen to roll for another frost worm encounter there might be consequences.

Episode 118: Solace Between the Secrets
  • The Nein get all-new artwork, showing off their winter outfits. It is fantastic. Highlights include Fjord’s beard having finally grown out, Sprinkle making an appearance in Jester’s portrait, Caduceus’ new short hair, and Yasha’s feathery white wings
  • Dagen makes his trip down the hill with practiced ease, and it makes Yasha's trip with the Skingorger much easier.
  • Fjord and Jester have a serious talk about everything. Jester doesn't want to die, but wants to stop the city more than anything else, and Fjord asks Jester if he can kiss her. They kiss. This is huge, because Travis has spent 5 years saying he doesn't want to roleplay romance, and he finally does, with his wife no less. Matt talks about how proud he is.

Episode 119: Malice and Mystery Below
  • Through the duplicate, Jester uses Inflict Wounds at 6th level. She rolls a Nat 20, which means that the spell does double damage. She ends up doing 106 damage to the baby-abomination. Also, due to some kind of a wild magic effect, the spell creates a shower of butterflies.
Marisha: That is the most on brand thing for Jester!
  • Beau gets swallowed by the baby-abomination. In desperation, she dumps all of her suude out into the creature's stomach. That's 10 doses worth, and Matt rolls a Nat 1 on the saving throw, so the creature is knocked unconscious for 2d4 rounds. The Black Comedy aspect of giving a baby drugs makes it cross over with Funny.
  • Fjord takes the opportunity to attack the creature. The damage wakes it up, but he burns both of his 5th level Divine Smites for a total of 118 damage on both attacks.
  • Caleb uses Telekinesis to try and yank the abomination's dangling lure off of its head. He can't quite succeed, but he does hold it taut. This allows Fjord to slice it off on his turn, taking that ability out of play.
  • Caduceus casts Blight for 31 points of damage, finally getting the HDYWTDT.

    Episode 120: Contentious Company
  • Jester casts Banishment on the iron golem. Matt rolls a 19 and a 20 on the saving throw... and it still fails!
  • After a long battle, Caleb gets the HDYWTDT with the Cat's Claw.
  • During the negotiation with Lucien, Fjord makes an argument that they should travel together from there on out. Travis' Persuasion roll of 19 for a result of 24 makes it succeed, defusing what could have been a fight.
Fjord: No... no I don't think so, it doesn't feel like it has the right weight to it, does it. I think it's more like we come with you, and you inform us, as much as you're comfortable, about what it is you're after and what you expect to happen. You see the thing is about having one piece of a puzzle is, yes you could go find another but it might just not fit right. So you really do need our piece of the puzzle and sure would like to see what the full picture looks like or at least get a hint.

    Episode 121: Ice and Fire
  • The Nein had put Lady DeRogna's body in Caleb's magical necklace, and put the necklace in the Bag of Holding. Therefore, it did not pop out when Lucien's Dispel Magic got rid of the dome, sparing them a potentially difficult situation.
  • The Nein and Lucien engage in a talk about a lot of things. Caduceus finally adds in his two cents.
Caduceus: We have something you desperately need. ... Perspective. How long has it been since you had someone around who didn't constantly agree with you?
    • Lucien is only slightly rattled, and verbally fences in return.
Lucien: I have the perspective of not just myself, and not just these fine companions (*points at the Tomb Takers*), or the perspective of nine, quite frankly, batty as shit individuals from a long time ago, but many, many minds of that period. And there's plenty of disagreement.
  • With the aid of a clutch Pass Without A Trace, the Nein are able to make their way across the snow-covered lava river without difficulty. This helps cover for the Tomb Takers, who did not roll nearly so well... until the Tomb Takers rolled so badly that they caught the attention of fire elementals who live in the river.
  • During the break, the art roll sees the debut of a fantastic remix of Welcome to Wildemount, complete with vocals.
  • After the combined group escapes the lava river, Jester points out that they could have flown the group across the river if they knew that there were elementals in the river.
Yasha: Perspective. That's a good example of that.
  • Caleb takes Beau and has a frank discussion with Lucien. He offers to let the Tomb Takers stay in the tower the next night if Lucien lets him take a look at his book, under Lucien's supervision. Liam's result on the Persuasion roll is 25, and Lucien says he'll think about it.
    • After Caleb makes the offer, Jester pops out and mentions that she also does tarot readings. Lucien, intrigued, asks if she would read him. She is happy to do so. What results is a series of perfectly fitting cards, drawn entirely at random through a system Taliesin created, and that visibly shakes Lucien. The Cards specifically describe his past as a Dream, his present as a Tyrant, and his future card was named Death.
    • Highlighting the awesome: When Molly did tarot readings, Taliesin did not leave the cards to chance. Molly was stacking the deck; he was a showman, a benevolent con artist telling people what they wanted to hear and showing them what he guessed they needed to see. Lucien would likely be aware of that and expecting a rudimentary cold-reading, something that he could use to gain insight into what the Nein think of him and what they think he "needs to hear". Laura used the cards as intended, interpreting truly random selections according to their genuine meanings, and Jester nailed Lucien to the wall with it. No wonder he was rattled; he wasn't prepared for it to be real.
    • Gets even more awesome with the benefit of hindsight. Not only was the first card (the past card) perfect, the present and future cards eventually prove themselves just as accurate when Lucien wrenches control of Cognouza away from the Somnovem and Jester subsequently lands the killing blow on him.
Jester (sitting across from him): Facing you is death.
  • After the episode ends, Matt admits that he absolutely loves the dynamic which the Nein have found with the Tomb Takers. He loves that they are keeping him on his toes.

Episode 122: Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained
  • At dinner in the tower, the Nein ask the Tomb Takers about their past, especially Lucien. He covers well, but some Insight checks reveal that his patience is starting to grow thin. Fjord immediately and smoothly changes the subject to the upcoming trip to Aeor.
  • Beau tells the Tomb Takers about the gnolls that attacked Alfield, and how they worshipped a manticore. This sets something off in her memory: they've gone up against a number of cults by this point, and hunger is a reoccurring theme.

    Episode 123: Fair-weather Faith
  • Ashley rolls for that day's travel. She rolls an 11, and Matt has her roll a d8. She rolls an 8. Gelidon shows up. Their Stealth rolls hide them decently well, but she remembers their scents. The Nein and the Tomb Takers try to figure out what to do, and Fjord uses a Fly spell to draw her away.
  • Ashley is well known for her poor rolls, but she got some new dice. She rolled two Natural 20s to save against Gelidon's fear effect, and an additional Natural 20 as an attack of opportunity when Gelidon tried to take off.
Ashley: After this, we're going to Vegas!
  • Matt's depictions of the Tomb Takers enchanting their weapons with their own blood (as Blood Hunters) is incredibly metal, and feels like it wouldn't be out of place in Bloodborne.
  • Thanks to Yasha's Battle Cry, Fjord (and the rest of the Nein) gets advantage on attack rolls. One of his two attacks is a Natural 20. Thanks to the crit and a 5th level Divine Smite, he does 106 damage total on his attack round.
    • Before making the attacks, Fjord put Gelidon under his Hexblade's Curse. It grants Armour of Hexes, which can cause a melee attack to miss. This saves Caleb when Gelidon nails him with a Natural 20 tail swipe.
  • The Nein and the Tomb Takers drove Gelidon off, with nobody dying! Plus, the Nein got a glimpse at just what Lucien can do, learning that he has Legendary Actions (and probably Legendary Resistances to go along with them).
  • A couple of clutch Perception rolls from Caduceus allow the Nein to find the Tomb Takers.
  • A Natural 20 allows Beau to successfully jump off of Yasha and land effortlessly. She even gets to stun Cree and hit both Tyfial and Lucien.
  • Cree attempts to cast Slow on the escaping Nein. Fjord Counterspells it, only for Otis to attempt to Counterspell his Counterspell. The cast cry out for Liam to hurry back from the bathroom so that Caleb can Counterspell Otis' Counterspell, which of course, he does. Doubles as Funny.
  • Fjord uses Major Image to make it seem that Gelidon has come back for vengeance. This freaks out the Tomb Takers, and some of the Nein.
  • Between the illusionary dragon and the disruption of the Slow spell, the Nein are at least temporarily able to escape the Tomb Takers.
    • This ends the episode which, at roughly 5 1/2 hours long total, is the longest episode of Campaign 2 and second only to the Vecna fight at the climax of Campaign 1.
    • With 21 Natural 20s, this episode also features the most Natural 20s in the show's history.

Episode 124: A Walk to Warmer Welcomes
  • The Nein are able to get away from the Tomb Takers, thanks to some quick thinking and a couple of good rolls. They realize that the Tomb Takers will not stop following them as long as they have the threshold crest they stole from Zoran, and they don't want to surrender it to save their own skins, so they think of another way. They find a mountain range and make camp at the top, because the Tomb Takers haven't displayed any polymorphing abilities. They are found the next morning, but they have enough time to make a long rest and escape from the avalanche the Tomb Takers set off to try and bury them.
    • They are also able to send the crest to Rexxentrum. Hopefully. In any case, the Tomb Takers have to get another, buying the Nein enough time to forge an alliance to take them down.
  • The Nein reunite with Essek, and he reveals his reasons for going to Aeor: a fear of Imperial assassins who want to cut out a loose end. A natural 19 Insight check gives Beau a result of 28. This tells her that he is on the level, but more than that: he is also ashamed.
    • Essek goes on to reveal that things in Aeor have symbols similar to those found around Luxon beacons, implying that Aeor was perhaps studying Dunamancy before the Dynasty even knew of it.
  • Dagen makes it to the Dynasty outpost shortly after the Nein arrive. He's able to hold off the guards before Essek and the Nein defuse the situation.
  • Caduceus tries Divine Intervention. Taliesin rolls a 3, resulting in the second successful Divine Intervention of the campaign! He now knows exactly where the Tomb Takers will go when they come to Aeor.
  • As the episode ends, Matt reveals that they have levelled up! They are level 14 now.
