Doctor Who seasons 5&6

I'm not going to lie, at first I found Matt Smith charming and witty, but now his performance has gotten somewhat disgusting. In fact, both of these seasons are kind of disgusting. Aside from the Flesh and Stone story arc, which was lovely, I just couldn't stand season 5. Matt Smith's constant fast-spoken mumbles and River Song's awkward, forced attempts to get into the Doctor's pants have just become incredibly grating, and the plots have turned into complete rubbish. I tell you, if one thing's apparent, it's that they've completely run out of ideas for monsters to the point where they've ripped off Slenderman. Freakin' Slenderman! The plots have become so unnecessarily complicated and convoluted that I found myself having to re-watch certain episodes in order to make sense at their nonsense. They don't even explain half of the premises. In "The Doctor's Wife," for example, how did they get to that weird, surreal dimension? Why was the TARDIS a woman? How did that woman get there? How did those odd people get there? What exactly was that thing that was behind the whole thing? Are any of these things ever explained? Probably. Was it in a way that complete dumbasses like myself and children could understand. Not in the least. I seriously pray that Moffat picks up his game, or else the rest of the season is going to be quite disappointing.

"Constant fast-spoken mumbles" are a quirk I like, but whatever. It's a different way of playing the Doctor, and I'm glad to see Matt Smith's performance is distinct from Tennants, as each Doctor should be unique. I'm not a River Song fan, but it doesn't seem to me like she's trying to seduce the Doctor.

They didn't rip-off Slenderman. There's been plenty of tall, supernatural guys in suits in fiction, including the infamous Tall Man from Phantasm. They also said their primary inspirations for the Silence were "The Scream" painting and the Men in Black stereotype.

The TARDIS is a woman because House sucked her mind into that body so that he could inhabit the TARDIS. The stitched up people and the woman came from the other TARDI Si, I believe. House was an entity, like the Beast from Series 2, that is mostly unexplained, but it's known that he is the Genius Loci of the garbage planet and that he can inhabit other constructions.

Is this review supposed to be a sarcastic, mean-spirited attack at those who don't like Series 5/6? If so, you pretty much are making no sense.

River Song was trying to seduce the Doctor. <- Fullstop

Or more accurately, it's constantly implied that she already has and they only flirt more, the more screen time she's given.

It grates with me but not to distraction

OH NOEZ! THE EPISODE IS MAKING ME THINK AND PAY ATTENTION!

Seriously IT'S EXPLAINED. TV show should not think you're a Goldfish.

And I must admit I love Smith's performance. Reminds me of the old Doctors.

I find it odd that you use the Neil Gaiman-penned episode to talk about how Moffat should step up his game.

I think Moffat should less step up his game and more move back to individual stories, he makes brilliant plots and episodes, I just don't particularly want overarching story and feel he's being wasted on it. He should also be forbidden for reusing his monsters and characters. He pretty much killed River Song and Angels for me :D

Some may argue that Moffat doesn't step up his game in Series 7, but Matt certainly does. He knows he's gonna be leaving soon, so he does his job as best as he can, especially in "Rings of Akhtaten", which has one of hands down best performances ever, during a speech nearing the end.
