The Ending Is Terrible

The concept of teenagers locked into an area and killing each other is not new.

Doubt does this and the issue of trust is the main reason why things end so badly so easily. None of them trust each other all that well. As the party dwindles, they mistrust each other more and more which only makes things worse.

Overall, the revelation on who "The Wolf" of the group is was predictable, but it was still decent. Reasonings being weak aside, it would have been a decent way to end things.

My issue with this manga is that the manga wanted to pull one more on us. By giving us one huge completely out-of-left-field plot twist shortly before the end and thinking it'll be great and surprise us. It certainly is a surprise, but not a good one. It's a "WTF Where You Thinking?" plot twist due to lack of proper foreshadowing.

Plot twists that come out of nowhere are not good. Doubt is overall a decently entertaining enough horror manga but I honestly think it would've been better had the final plot twist not happened. It wouldn't have been a great manga, but it would have been better than what it actually is.

I completely agree with you on this Catmuto. The last two chapters were completely unnecessary and the major plot twist made no sense whatsoever. It seemed to me this was done purely to have a downer ending. But creating one just for the sake of it, is not good writing. I really regret reading these two chapters as overall it was a pretty decent series, so the best thing I do is to just ignore and pretend the last two chapters never existed.
