I'd like to pitch a case to remove Le Var Burton's Sacred Cow status. I've been seeing his popularity plummet after supporting cancel culture calling it "Consequence Culture" and standing by it

Oh no, fringe idiots don't like a black man mildly disagreeing that the scary bogeyman they made up exists.

I'd say the fact that the comments section of Fox News is dealing with him with kid's gloves and he even has defenders makes it even more apparent.

Regardless of what you think of cancel culture, it's controversial enough to remove his status as one

I'm afraid you've missed the point twice over.

Firstly, there's the notion that this opinion he holds would shift the opinion of those who already hold him as a Sacred Cow. I suspect that those who who would hold Kunta Kinte in high regard wouldn't shift too much because of this.
Secondly, if anything, this reaffirms he is a sacred cow because again, the comments section of Fox News is treating him with kid's gloves. The article itself is primarily focused with complaining about Cancel Culture in general and the fact he isn't being skewered.
