I REALLY hate zce's. Can anyone add to WHY Shen is a Magnificent Bastard (the only Precision F-Strike that I have ever been proud to say), not that I disagree that he's awesome.
Exactly how does pandas being in panda heaven ruin the backstory? A bit confused on that. Also, "It becomes worse when he does find happiness and peace of mind eventually... two seconds before he dies." He does? When does that happen? From what I recall, he's bitter to the end, unable to accept that he still has a chance at life.
Speaking of which, here's a thought: Shen is black and white (and red, but eh, only kinda). Couldn't it be argued that the "black and white warrior" destined to take him down was, really, himself, and his own self-destructive path?
