It is hilarious that not once but TWICE the actor playing the Human Torch in a bad Fantastic 4 film got the chance to be in the MCU. And also how both movies came out in years ending in a 5.

..wait isn't the next iteration slated for release in 2025...hmm

There is a mistake there: the animated series being referenced is Fantastic Four (made in the 1990s, and contemporary to that specific comic book). Note the shape of the Thing's head in the TV, and compare with with this screenshot. The bit that Lang says about it "based on your old adventures" is because the episodes are free adaptions of the old stories by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

I'm fixing this, I just explained it here because it's too long for an edit summary.

    Not Broken Base
** Doctor Doom being used as the villain again.
  • The film's Younger and Hipper take on the Four.
  • Just like with The Amazing Spider-Man Series, the fact this film is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe also has various people annoyed. Not helping matters are accusations that Marvel is cancelling their FF titles just to spite Fox.
  • The talk of the movie being a "more grounded" film, given that the Fantastic Four have consistently appeared in some of Marvel's most fantastic - that is to say, not realistic - stories, and that part of the fun of the comics is that they aren't grounded.
  • The announcement that they may or may not wear their iconic suits. The base broke even further when Michael B. Jordan confirmed this, especially when he called the iconic costumes "cheesy".
  • The announcement that the movie will not even be based on the comic books themselves, or any storyline or arc whatsoever (in fact, the actors were told not to even bother to read the comics, that means, not learning about the characters they're playing on screen) has effectively broken any hopes audiences could've had for this movie.
  • The first onscreen set photos of some photos of reboot Doom drew some ire, though it is unclear whether or not they are pre-CG and other special effects.
  • The announcement that a sequel is already in production, in spite of the fact that there has yet to be positive audience feedback regarding any footage from the film, or signs of any significant financial success with the movie (which was already sandwiched between two major films and sharing a release date with another, making it unlikely to be a big hit) screams that the movie is a cash-grab on Fox's part. This seems to have contributed to the delay of the film by two months, in spite of filming having been completed for several weeks at the time of the delay.

I am actually inclined to support the removal, seeing as these entries focus on the base breaker, not the base itself.
