Whatever turns you on, Doc!- Canon Discontinuity - Word of God states that this game is not canon in any way.
Why does this keep appearing?! I know I'm not supposed to be rude, but I've said it several times, and I'll say it again: Cite where you got it or don't even bother! Whoever is doing this is doing neither, and every time I've tried to find the source, I couldn't find it. Oh, and the Sonic News Network doesn't even mention the game's apparent Canon Discontinuity status, and they're the flippin' Wiki!
Edited by SamMax Hide / Show RepliesKevin Eva AKA Archangel, a guy who works for SEGA got confirmation that Chronicles is not canon from Sonic Team itself. Sonic News Network is an extremely poor source for Sonic information, has articles that are exceptionally poorly-written and contain contradictions and factual errors.
Huh. I guess there are better Wikis to look at. What would you recommend?
Still, would have been nice if I had this around a year earlier. Still, better late than never.
Edited by SamMaxSonic Retro Wiki - http://info.sonicretro.org/ Extremely good source of Sonic information that always gets it's facts right and has a measure of quality control regarding it's contributers. The complete opposite of Sonic News Network.
Concept:"Mobius" - http://concept-mobius.technoguild.com/ NOT a wikia but an extremely comprehensive information site regardless especially regarding the characters. It has the most in-depth and comprehensive Sonic character profiles ever written.
http://www.tssznews.com/2011/03/10/kevin-eva-leaves-sega-europe/ I don't think one source would be useful If ever by an ex-sega employee. If he can vouch for more information by sega of america and japan then it's non-cannon.
In the What Could Have Been part, it says that the stripping down of the game is "likely a result of Bioware being bought by Electronic Arts, and..."; it says more than that, but that's not the point I'm trying to make. The Mis-blamed and Scapegoat Creator pages go into great detail about how Electronic Arts gets blamed for a lot of stuff that's not their fault. Are they actually to blame for it this time, or is it just people complaining.
BOOM. Ah, frig, the fourth wall was broken AGAIN.It was copied here, but I'd rather leave it alone unless it is wrong.

Citation please? We don't want to start a Flame War here. You know the Sonic fanbase is prone to these...
EDIT: Then again, it's getting to where I might just remove it altogether unless a citation is put in.
EDIT (2): Removed. If you wont cite it, don't put it up!
EDIT (3): It's back up, and without any citation! No one even followed my edit reason, and even had the gall to remove it even though it is against the rules!!!!!!!!
EDIT (4): Removed again! Please follow the rules.
Edited by SamMaxIs Sonic a Fragile Speedster or a Mario? This page says he's the former, but everywhere else, he's listed as the latter.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. Hide / Show RepliesAs far as this game's concerned, he's more of a speedy Mario than a Fragile Speedster.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I wanted to talk about the Useless Useful Spell section a bit. Yes, most of the abilities are outright useless if you flunk the action command, yet when you complete the commands, the moves are (usually) extremely useful. For example, some insta-kill moves work 100%, yet do nothing if you mess up even a bit. So would that belong on that section, or not, as the moves are useful in all circumstances (even against the final boss), yet the player at least has a degree of control.
Hide / Show RepliesSorry that this is rather late, but what I was trying to express is that most skills are an either-or deal; execute them perfectly for a Game-Breaker, make even the slightest mistake and you just wasted an entire turn. (I usually just stuck to regular attacks because of this...) I suppose the skills themselves aren't useless though, so I'm not sure. Scrappy Mechanic maybe?
Game is apparently getting a fan-made remastering: https://youtu.be/5ctsbvzVkN0
