Most of the examples I see are just controversy about the work, whether deep or not. The work itself is often far more known than the controversy, so I'm wondering if that's a definition change?

Miraculous Ladybug entry needs a more broad explanation.

...And that show is mostly known for its inpatient fans and aggressive shippers.

I agree. I would ask in the Is This An Example? thread in the forums about this matter, as I personally do not think it was THAT controversial as to merit a mention in this article.

Our policy is that Overshadowed by Controversy has a six month waiting period. In this case, it'd be six months after the show first airs. So it's too soon to list it now, as the backlash could very well subside once it actually airs.
