2: It's unlikely. Dark Urd maybe (emphasis on the word maybe) because she's been taken over by LOT but Mara is likely wearing her own seals as well. Not that they'd change her hair colour or anything. It's specifically stated by Bell that a 1st class could accidentally blow up the world. So she probably has her own seals. Not only that, but could you really see Hild, HILD, letting someone become a 1st class if they didn't deserve it? Even if that person had to be a friend of her daughter? I don't. She's nothing if not professional (maybe a little on the dramatic side) and likely got very high standards. I think overall Mara isn't serious. She wants to get rid of them after all not hurt them. Also I would like to say I think that was just really bad handling of the character in general. Manga and anime.
Edited by SandanioSo I was reading The charcter guide and I dida little research. F Or Belldandy it says all her racing suits have a heart montage on it. I saw a cat but no heart. Is there any chapters, pages that show it in the manga? I feel stupid cause I feel blind but I couldn't find them anywhere... :/
Just an odd thought I couldn't find a better place for. Belldandy and Keiichis' relationship seems to be a transfer of Mary Sueness. The longer Belldandy spends with Keiichi the more she has to deal with her dark side ad under go character development (thus reducing her Mary Sue qualities). Meanwhile we're finding Keiichi is Stewtiful All Along. Several goddesses (and Hild) have agreed he is special, he has become a Badass Normal and can support his own angel despite being human.
Edited by iwasapenguin Hide / Show RepliesI have only watched the OVA, half the movie and the first three eps, but I measure Mary Sueness by how a motorclub only seems to want Keiichi to race and put him in the spotlight (doesn't anybody else want to win themselves?) and how all girls seem to be interested in Keiichi. Belldandy I can understand.
Something I've been wondering: where does Lind first appear? In the manga I don't recall her appearing prior to the fighting wings arc, was that published before or after the anime?
The differences between Suki and Aishiteru is important, because while the latter means love unambiguously, the former can mean like as well as love depending on the phrasing and context and the person speaking, also remember that in Japan, males have issues with showing too much affection, especially in public
Edited by baxtusThen again does Mara's treatment make about half of the second season a Hurt Comfort Fic
Regarding Mara's Villain Decay can it be explained away by the after effects of the Lord of Terror episodes.
1: Looks like she got badly drained and possibly suffered permanent drain.
2: Dark Urd and Belldandy with her limits off had her seriously outclassed. Knowing this has dented her confidence badly
3: Everyone's less/no longer afraid of her and fear was an important part of her power
