I kind of liked the self-demonstrating example.

... why is this a trope? Second language learners make mistakes. Some make mistakes a lot, depending on their level. I teach English as a foreign language, and I live in a place where the main language is my second language. My students all sound like this in the classroom, and I sound like this everywhere but the classroom, and that's just life. That's just life for everyone but coddled native English speakers who don't feel the need to learn anything else.

It... also reinforces the idea that sounding like this is embarrassing, which makes people afraid to start learning a new language, because you will sound like this for at least the first five years, it's inevitable. (It's been at least 15 for me, because I'm on here reading and writing things in English instead of going out and getting the immersion I need to improve).

I made this Idolized Julius Kingsley icon back when Akito first came out, and now that the crossover is actually happening, I don't care.

Why doesn't this article ever mention why it's named You No Take Candle? It's not even explained as an example.
