Yep, this one is ancient. The reason why it has a hat is because of a bug back in 2012/2013.

Does white face paint count too? Because I was thinking of adding Avatar The Last Airbender's Kyoshi Warriors as heroic examples.
Another one hat launch. Why couldn't this have waited? Dia de los Muertos is listed right up front even though its a celebration, thus an unlikely inspiration for any subtrope to Malevolent Masked Man (see Rey Mysterio Jr. give his skull masks out to screaming children-screaming in joy). At the very least, this should go back to You Know That Thing Where until it has four more hats.
