Yeah this trope should really be cut. I don't see the point for In-Universe examples at all.
Edited by 71.126.176.128There's no reason it can't be put under Useful Notes, with all the real names intact.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Maybe put it under the Analysis namespace, since it's honestly not that useful of a note. Though really I do agree, cutting the real life examples just seems... sad.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.@CEOIII: What, in your mind, is the relevance of The Tyson Zone for a wiki that is dedicated to collecting tropes?
Let's just say and leave it at that.1. Celebrities do crazy shit. Fact of life. 2. Bill Simmons has a page on this site, no reason one of his works shouldn't.
(Shouldn't I be getting notifications about posts to this discussion page in my watchlist?)
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 11171. Zero relevance for the wiki's mission.
2. The Tyson Zone is a trope type page, not a work.
Yes, you should get edit notifications for this discussion if you have The Tyson Zone on your watchlist.
Let's just say and leave it at that. The Tyson Zone is explicitly for an audience reaction to a real life person's crazyness. If you strip away the real life examples, what your left with is a bunch of redundant tropes with Clockcukoolander and Bunny Ears Laywer, etc - crazy characters.
If there aren't any real life examples, there really shouldn't even be a trope page.
Completely agree; I don't think this is a valid trope.
However, getting trope pages [that don't violate the content policy] deleted from the wiki is even harder than getting rid of pointless or problematic Real Life sections. AFAIK, such decisions need to be discussed in Trope Repair Shop.
Let's just say and leave it at that.Yes, TRS is the correct place for discussing removing a page like this.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.[nevermind, posted in the wrong spot]

So I've got this straight: We're removing all the real names from this page, despite the fact that it's named after an actual person, and the actual list only contains actual people.
Seriously.
