I'm going to leave a discussion on here regarding an issue that came up while on the launchpad, but for which no consensus was ever reached despite bringing it to both ATT and the forums, before I decided that this thing just needed to be launched already.

I decided to list the examples by namespace, but that only brought attention to the fact that we don't really have a consistent policy for which namespace Quests ought to go in. I'm personally in favor of moving all the Fanfic ones into Roleplay, since that's the most natural fit for it (never got any consensus for that, or even a reply to my queries on the matter), but the real problem are the Webcomics. Both Forum Quest and Interactive Comic are descended from same work, Ruby Quest, and there's a lot of overlap between the two. I've currently had them listed on both pages as Sister Tropes, though it's also possible to list Interactive Comic as the Sub-Trope of Forum Quest. Which works should be listed as only one or the other, and which ones (if any) as both? Where should the line go for deciding whether a given Quest should go under Roleplay or Webcomic?

Since no-one apparently wants to talk about this I'll just let Wiki Magic decide for now, but I thought I should leave some sort of record behind that this is something that should be looked into properly.

Hi, I just found the page from the link in Alanna.

Namespacing quests is a issue the site has long struggled with, sole Quest pages even being moved from one namespace to the other without clear rules. Frankly I'd be in favor of giving them their own namespace, but current wiki policy seems to be towards fewer namespaces, not more. Failing that, I think Roleplay would be the most appropriate of the two.note

Regarding the page itself, I think we're in agreement that sorting them by namespace is a temporary solution. I'd be in favor of sorting them between "fanquest of other media" (which would include every sburbventure on MSPFA, but not original stuff born on the MSPFA forum) and "original quests and fanquests therof", possibly further dividing into "illustrated" and "text-only".
