...Because I have little idea of what's going on in the scene from reading this. (Identity disk? Derezzes?) It doesn't seem like it's a particularly witty or interesting quote anyway.

We need some details here — not details of what went down in historical arenas but what happened in these works. Please see How To Write An Example. (Just having "Ditto" is never enough for a example.)
