For the record, just because something is listed as Fanfic Fuel doesn't mean that there is a tidal wave of stories about the concept. In my experience, you're lucky to find one.

I'm not sure about the Doctor Who "Heaven Sent" example. From the Doctor's perspective he doesn't spend four and a half billion years "being lonely" — he spends maybe a few days, at the end of which he realises he's done this many times before but doesn't remember it, then resets the whole thing again. We know how he spends it; he spends it repeatedly doing the stuff we see in the episode. This has limited fanfic potential. (The earliest iterations, before we get to the point where everything's in place, might be interesting, though.)
