- As Meggie was going through the dark garden behind the house she suddenly heard unexpected music. It filled the night air as if it had been only waiting for Meggie’s footsteps: strange music, a carnival mixture of bells, pipes and drums, both boisterous and sad. Meggie wouldn’t have been surprised to find a whole troop of fairground entertainers waiting for her on the lawn behind Elinor’s house, but only Dustfinger stood there.
Thank you! I don't think we need some parts, but I'll put the rest up on the page!
Edited by DrNoPuma I haven't played the particular game that Tango is from, but still... robo kitty. :DDavid Bowie's "Time" from Aladdin Sane is a little creepy and always sounded vaguely circus-y to me. But I wasn't sure if it had to be played on calliope to qualify?
Hide / Show RepliesNo, it doesn't. As long as it's creepy and it sounds like circus music, it counts. Although, when you write the example, I suggest you explain what makes it sound like circus music (for example, if it uses any other circus-themed instruments).

- Taking that standard "Entrance of the Gladiators" theme and making the bass notes chromatically rising and descending tritones makes the piece a lot more creepy, especially if someone does a still-legged clown impression along with it.
Because I assume it's supposed to be attached to another entry, but I don't know what. If that's the whole thing, then it's basically just a Troper Tale.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Does Elvis Costello's "Sunday's Best" count as this trope? It's definitely circusy-sounding but I'm not sure if it's "creepy" enough. (asking because I was planning on adding it but after listening to the song again I'm having second thoughts)
Edited by MysticalChicken Hide / Show RepliesI'm sure the beginning of this falls squarely under this trope. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMA9Jnaznp4
There was a line from Inkheart that would make a wonderful page quote, but I can't remember what it was. It was something like "She heard a strange music, with bells, flutes, and drums, that seemed both boisterous and sad."
Does anyone know the actual quote?
