I was thinking we should upgrade this index to "Neurodiverse Creators" and include examples of creators with ADHD, dyslexia, OCD etc instead of just autism. Now I know that not many people know what neurodiversity is but I think we should get a Useful Notes page on that to help answer some questions people may have about it. Or we can just include some links to places like The Other Wiki to explain the definition.

Anyway, some neurodiverse creators with conditions other than autism include Daniel Radcliffe (dyspraxia), Justin Timberlake (ADHD, OCD), Solange (ADHD) and Keanu Reeves (dyslexia) if you want any examples to start you off.

I like that idea, but there's so much inconsistency about what "neurodiverse" means (does it include anxiety and depression, etc) that I don't know how easy it'd be to maintain.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.

I could see a Neurodiverse index with this current page as a subcategory.

I've recently been reconsidering the idea of an index for neurodivergent creators. As a general rule of thumb, since conditions like depression, anxiety etc are still largely considered mental illness, I suggest we stick with the usual grab bag of autism, ADHD, dyslexia and OCD. Here's a list of conditions considered neurodiverde by the Cleveland Clinic as a guide: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/symptoms/23154-neurodivergent

Hey, is there a reliable link for Sia being autistic? I can’t find anything anywhere about it.

Should the creator of Pokémon be an example? I heard somewhere that he was autistic.

Can't find a reliable source for this. It's disputed on the talk page for his Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Satoshi_Tajiri

^As was pointed out on that page, it's a rumor that came from a MySpace page.

I want to say for the record that I find this an uncomfortable trope as an artist should be an artist, not an Autistic artist. For good or ill it will define you if you let it.

Does it even count as a trope? It's more like trivia.

An index, not a trope.

Late response, but we have other similar indexes, for example, Blind Creators or Deaf Creators. It's not a trope, just an index.
