  • In the Red Dwarf episode "Meltdown", it's impossible to argue that Rimmer's not qualified to lead the good wax works droids in their war (his battle tactics involve them charging over the land mines and the result of his plans lead to the extinction of all the droids), and it's clear he's mostly doing this to live his fantasy of being a military leader. Still, Lister reacts in horror to him simply forcing the droids to start training and toughening up for war. Which considering they were on the losing side of a war, with an enemy who would not rest till they were all dead, had already killed most of them and they were down to characters who had little use in actual battle (such as Elvis Presley, Gandhi and Pythagoras), it seems hard to argue this at least was a bad idea (this itself goes a bit wrong, as he goes too far and several of them melt from exhaustion, but Lister didn't know this at the time).

This one's questionable; Lister's disgust is ultimately justified, as Rimmer's actions lead to the death of every single wax-droid on the planet, which this entry downplays significantly; he turns out to be entirely right to call Rimmer out for indulging in his war fantasies and forcing them to bare the cost of it.

  • Supergirl (2015): In the 17th episode of the first season, Kara reveals her identity to Lucy to save J'onn from being sent to Cadmus. Lucy promptly goes into a small rant as she asks why aliens are always lying. Considering that people like her father, General Lane, would rather see every alien rotting in a prison cell without due process or even any attempt to differentiate between malicious and benign ones, Kara and J'onn have every reason to lie.
    • On the other hand, people like General Lane, while extreme, aren't entirely unreasonable, as a lot of these aliens have powers that make them extremely dangerous and the two most prominent can do stuff like shrugging off tank shells and shooting laser beams from their eyes. Also Winn dated an alien that exploited the simple fact that her species can't be seen on camera to frame him and several other ex-"boyfriends" for major thefts, forced into doing it or not, the thought of that been a reality is terrifying.

The natter contradicts the original point, so this should be rewritten or the natter simply deleted if it's to be re-added. Remember to Repair Dont Respond.

About The Big Bang Theory: as I remember, the episode about Amy's bossiness was playing up The Unfair Sex. The aesop was that "she is my girlfriend so I have to side with her, however blatantly in the wrong she is".
