I'm not seeing the Manic Pixie Dream Girl here. She doesn't (intentionally) push him to change his life, she isn't prone to irreverent acts of pixie-ness, she's certainly not high on life, she's not even *stunningly* attractive (I love Carey Mulligan, I'm not trying to start a thing here, just saying the movie didn't seem to play that up), she isn't a love interest...how is this that trope at all?
