Guys, the Best Episode Crowner link doesn't work. o.O
"Hell exists not to punish sinners, but to ensure that nobody sins in the first place." - Eikishiki Yamaxanadu (Touhou) Hide / Show RepliesI got another complaint too. The site for the comic posts some of the same comics. :( The month and day may be accurate, but the year is wrong. :( From 2000 to 2001, some of the same stuff gets shown again and it's really annoying. >_<
"Hell exists not to punish sinners, but to ensure that nobody sins in the first place." - Eikishiki Yamaxanadu (Touhou)Fridge Moment: I was re-watching the last season, finally catching up on the last few episodes since I didn't get a chance to see them originally. When I got to the last episode "The Color Ruckus", something about his mother struck me as awfully familiar. It bugged me through the entire episode, and I couldn't place it.
Fast forward a few days later, when out of the blue it hit me: She was like an adult version of Pecola from The Bluest Eye. What really sold the connection was her present-day form, where she had a blonde wig and BLUE CONTACTS.
If this was intentional, it was absolutely ingenious. If not, it was serendipity. If any fictional character could have the excuse, Freudian or otherwise, to instill such self-hatred and racism into Uncle Ruckus, it would be Pecola Breedlove.
Too bad there isn't a Fridge page for The Boondocks, or I would have put this there. Oh well.
Edited by VermillionCheckof's gun in the series finale.Hell, they get 2 guns in one scene, with only one item. The iphone. "This SOB could block a bullet!" and "Only problem is, the shit's too light and thin, slip outa my pocket, won't know where it is." Guess how Rummy survives getting shot, and how Ed screws up the plan.
Flanderization of Riley and Granddad? I sort of understand Granddad since his behavior towards Huey seems like he is playing favorites with Riley, but Riley? I don't get that entry. I've read the comic strip and his characterization in that media seemed to match the series. Also, "Obfuscating Stupidity: implied in the comic series." What?
