He isn't knocked aside as proof of how dangerous the new enemy is and typically puts up a great fight even if he doesn't win. The Worf Effect hinges on the "easily knocked aside" qualifier.
I spent some time better organizing the pages, having a list of "Dead Characters" is basically enforcing the Killed Off for Real spoilers of the show rather than making it incidental, even for minor characters like Makeshift, Seaspray or Tailgate. So I made it a simpler "Other" folder for the generic forces and one off characters, regardless if a character is killed if they are a part of the main cast for more than one episode I left them in the general character list.
The Japanese dub really plays that part up.
The Koopa the world forgot.Who added the 'alt mode' button thing under the pictures? Seriously, I need to know who to give this cookie to. S/he really deserves it for doing something so cool.
Hide / Show RepliesThat would be me, just your friendly neighbourhood Koopa.
The Koopa the world forgot.Should we separate the pages soon? Like say make a page for the Autobots, a page for the Decepticons and a page for the humans.
Does Arcee really fall under the "Lightning Bruiser" trope? She never seemed terribly durable to me.
Hide / Show RepliesI'd say that Megatron was once a decent man, because it was consistently shown across the "Aligned" family of continuity that he became a rebl leader to smash the tyranny of the Cybertronian Caste System, to make a world of equality for all Cybertronians. Note how he had the characteristics of a "Good" Transformer back then, flat teeth, kind BLUE eyes like Optimus.
And it is also consistently mentioned (even in the character sheets page of Tv Tropes) that "the horrors of the Great War proved too much for his mind to handle" and drove him insane. He was a changed man after the war was won, and even BEFORE Orion Pax took what he saw as his rightfully leadership from him, his eyes were ALREADY Red, a characteristic of "Evil" Transformers.
I wold therefore argue that yes, Megatron IS a Shell-Shocked Veteran who was once a decent man, driven mad by the the centuries long war.
And where was it ever mentioned about his "beloved friends" falling driving him bad? Even if it's in the Aligned family, we're shown what it is in this series: When he was denied becoming a Prime, he snapped. And that happened before the great war, because that's what made him start the war.
And really, reading the Shell-Shocked Veteran page, it doesn't really fit Megatron's character.
Edited by MrDeathLet's add Unicron to the character sheet
Trans rights are human rights. If you don't think that, please leave.
Should we add The Worf Effect to Wheeljack? He's supposed to be a One-Man Army, and has no problems with Vehicons, but he's never won a straight-up match against named Decepticons.
