Either them or the 1986 Decepticons. The Nemesis Crew and the 1984/85 Decepticons were still a relatively cohesive unit, whereas the S3 Decepticons were their own thing.

What trope would be appropriate for the fact that during the Predacons' first appearance in Five Faces of Darkness, Part 5, they're unable to do anything to Wheelie, Blurr and Marissa Faireborne in spite of the fact that the Predacons had brand new toys on the shelves? (As that normally guarantees an unstoppable performance wherein the new characters show off how cool they are but that was not thought about during this case it seems like)
