A cross-medium question, brought on by books and games mostly.
Person A needs a gun. He's in a far-off distant land, where good guns are only carried by those who brought them with themselves from their far-off distant homelands. He goes to Person B, a gun seller, and intends to buy Weapon C. Person B says he's fresh out of Weapon C, but he has a local-made knockoff using the same caliber ammo (and some twine to hold it together) - Weapon C-9Z. C-9Z is a crappy gun, but it's better than nothing, and Person A, being a fan of Weapon C, takes it. Later, in combat, C-9Z lives up to his expectations by jamming, or misfiring, or otherwise underperforming. So, is there a trope for crappy/cheap knockoffs of popular weapons being used and, consequently, turning out to be exactly that - crappy? Sort of like an IN-UNIVERSE A.K.A.-47 meets In Name Only.
Jagged Alliance invokes this, so does Mass Effect Ascension, and I'm sure it shows up in more than one movie or other media involving South-Eastern Asia and knockoffs of the AK.

-A lazy teen that is always getting bad notes at school, while being smart and cool outside of it. -There is a cute guy, everybody do not respect him, hi gets lost, then he hearthwarmingly returns/gets found. -A realy lame attempt to educate people in shows for kids/teens, often involving sex or drugs.

Wasn't there a trope for an anime character being "inspiring" and the background changes to an animated version of the Japanese imperial flag (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_IskKlnE3Nzc/SOXz_mLsWXI/AAAAAAAAAlU/Fi8wqtu2hdE/s400/japanese_flag_3_3.gif)?

What's that trope when someone intentionally takes an unnecessary shortcut to get somewhere? Unnecessary meaning went way off the path.
Extreme case: Alice wants to go to Bob's house, Bob's house is next door, Alice decides to go across the street, through the vacant lot, into the yard with the mean dog, hops over the fence into a construction site, goes beyond the railroad tracks into the bad part of town and from there, goes on a grand adventure before arriving at Bob's house 6 hours later.
I'm sure we have a trope like this somewhere.

Fan Wank is where a fan shows off their obsession by ruthlessly over thinking a work and coming up with a theory about it, but what do you call it when a fan demonstrates their obsession by making a complex tribute to their favorite show?
What about when that tribute combines the first superfavoritething with a second superfavorite thing, like writing a Roleplaying system for your favorite TV show, or creating an elaborate computer program thematically based on your favorite band?

Is there a trope for a situation where there is an inept sort of guy in charge, and the sane guy under him who generally tries to make the commanding guy's crazy orders work? Basically, a crazy man in charge and a sane second in command/assistant. For example, Zap Brannigan and Kif in Futurama.
Or maybe a guy who was thrust into his position, which is why he is inept; and the other guy, who pretty much runs the place for the inept man in charge. Like Colonel Blake and Radar in M*A*S*H.

Take 2012 the movie, Wikipedia says that a lot of people got really downed by the possibility and needed psychological counselling to stop them from killing themselves.
Or better, a typical Indian soap opera. There are cases of families being far too affected by the problems in the show rather than their own real life and most grandmas and grandpas watching them wouldn't react so seriously if such a thing happened in real life.
What would you call this?

What is the name of the trope where animated characters receive help or meet real life celebrities? Like when scooby doo meets the Harlem globe trotters.

Person A is seriously injured. They make it to a place where Person B is, either because they were trying to get to Person B or they just stumbled around for a while until they found someone. Person A passes out. Person B is left to react to this and most likely has no idea what happened to Person A until they wake up and can tell Person B. Person A could have lost a fight, be sick, fatigued, anything that would cause them to faint. Person B could be a friend of Person A, family, their rival, a love interest, or anybody really.
I've seen this in many things, but can't find the trope for it. Is there one?

Is there a trope for situations where a guy ends up pointing a gun (or other weapon) at his brother? It would run into Cain and Abel if he actually pulls the trigger, but I'm trying to think of some trope for when he doesn't.

Is there a trope for when a character's signature vehicle (Car, Space Ship, Giant Mecha etc...) gets destroyed and treated as if it were almost a death scene?
Wrecked Weapon seems fairly close, but it seems to focus more on weapons/accessories than vehicles.
Examples include the destruction of the Enterprise in Star Trek 3, The Dude's car getting trashed by nihilists in The Big Lebowski, The Black Pearl getting sunk by the kraken in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and the Bluesmobile falling apart at the end of The Blues Brothers.
Do we have a trope for when a character enters, and chaos ensues? Instead of, "Oh, hey, a character." It's like, "HOLY CRAP, IT'S A CHARACTER."
