Yep, that's an edit war. The length of time between the steps of the "do-undo-redo" doesn't disqualify it, though mods might be more lenient about dealing with it.

It's too slow to be an edit war. I'd put in a comment that the example was disqualified in a discussion.

I wasn't aware that having a big enough time gap between the "do-undo-redo" disqualifies something as an edit war. If that is site policy, it might be something worth putting on Edit War to help clarify things for readers.

I sent CalamityRaven26 a notifier saying that they had re-added an example deemed to be misuse. Is it alright if I deleted the example again, once again citing the "Is This an Example?" thread where it was deemed a non-example?

It's probably because the longer the gap, the greater the odds that someone just forgot they made this edit before.
