Yep, that's an edit war. The length of time between the steps of the "do-undo-redo" doesn't disqualify it, though mods might be more lenient about dealing with it.
It's too slow to be an edit war. I'd put in a comment that the example was disqualified in a discussion.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI wasn't aware that having a big enough time gap between the "do-undo-redo" disqualifies something as an edit war. If that is site policy, it might be something worth putting on Edit War to help clarify things for readers.
I sent CalamityRaven26 a notifier saying that they had re-added an example deemed to be misuse. Is it alright if I deleted the example again, once again citing the "Is This an Example?" thread where it was deemed a non-example?
It's probably because the longer the gap, the greater the odds that someone just forgot they made this edit before.
We might have an edit war on Low Fantasy, though it is one that's kind of spread out over the years.
Back in 2017, CalamityRaven26 originally added to a Fire Emblem example in Low Fantasy. I had my doubts about it counting, so I brought it up in the "Is This an Example?" thread. The feedback I got was that the series leaned more towards High Fantasy, so I deleted everything related to Fire Emblem from the page on grounds of misuse.
Then, in 2020, CalamityRaven26 added the entry back without an edit reason.
Is this considered an edit war? I've also brought this entry up in the "Is This an Example?" thread for feedback.
