Abridged for Children? See Bowdlerise for the broad supertrope. Can get even more specific depending on why it's done, what they change, and how they do it. There's also Disneyfication for when an adaptation cuts out some material and adds new kid-friendly material right from the beginning of production.

You mean something like Hamilton where they cut down on the swearing to make the release PG-13 rather than R for Disney+? I'm surprised we don't have an Avoid The Dreaded R Rating.
