oh, i know this one! i asked about this for Touch and was told to make the page a disambiguation, and make new pages i.e. Literature.Magical Girls 2014 and Literature.Magical Girls 2018
That doesn’t solve the problem since the examples for the 2014 novel were deleted and I don’t know which tropes should belong to which novel.
Also the page was basically just vandalized and should be restored to the earlier version since it was of better quality.
Edited by WalkinshadowsI put the old version back and made Magical Girls (2018) for the vandalized version. As far as I can tell all of the crosswicks and indexs were made for the old version so theres not much that needs to be changed there. But you're right, I'm bumping so the mods can see this was vandalized
Another page blanker? Again?
Thank you for fixing that.
Should the old version then be moved to the title with 2014 appended?
Do any of our policies spell out "Do not replace the contents of a work page if the work you want to add has a name that is already taken", or is that too obvious?
^ I think it should but i dont have the time right now to move wicks and index links so i left it alone
Edited by Tremmor19^^ It's one of those things that we didn't think we needed to say.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Yup, the content of Literature.Magical Girls should be moved ASAP to Literature.Magical Girls 2014, and the page turned into a disambiguation.
Though both pages say the novels were published in 2018, which is confusing; I guess it's an error on Literature.Magical Girls?
Edited by StFanThe original was published in 2014. I corrected the year on the article.
The page had only 5 wicks, I moved it.
I commented out multiple ZC Es on Magical Girls and then checked the history. Apparently, the article was originally about a 2014 novel by Jesse Brown, but in 2019, Latte Rumor changed it to be about a 2018 novel by Hannah Conrad. They deleted a lot of the article with no explanation. I only figured this out by looking up the author names.
