The fact that the weapon has such strong emotions and can let others know it probably means that it's a Talking Weapon. If it doesn't talk, it's at least an Empathic Weapon.

I don't think there will be any tropes for "Talking Weapon is angry".

However, if you took it one step further and said "Talking Weapon is easily angered and refuses to cooperate with people it doesn't like", then you might have a case for Situational Sword or Weapon Wields You.

Unfortunately, it's not a talking weapon (or at least, we can't hear it). The owner talks to it though. The only reason we know it's angry at him is because it has the tick marks during that one scene after said owner seriously screwed up.

Sounds like the gun is a Companion Cube, which are allowed to act ambiguously sentient when the Rule of Funny dictates.

(Also sounds like there's a bit of I Call It "Vera" and Consulting Mr Puppet in play, too)

It's actually a giant magic paintbrush. And yeah, it does have a name.
