Technology Marches On when it's technological advancement that renders the info obsolete- medical dramas have trouble with this one, for instance.
I'm looking for a trope for when some piece of media deals with real life and they give information that's accurate to reality. Then time marches on, the media is suddenly a few decades old and the information given is no longer accurate.
