The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at You Know, That Thing Where.
Forced into Evil, could also be a variant of Humiliation Conga and I Shall Taunt You.
Could be an inversion of Boxed Crook? The villain or whoever gets off of further punishment by making themselves useful, except in this case, its the hero.
Edited by SpocktorWhoNo reason that Defeat Means Menial Labor couldn't apply to this situation, though- the villain receiving this as punishment at the end of a story is a common play, but the core of the trope is "you lost, therefore you get handed the broom". Just a couple common alternate plays that come to mind are the former villain being made the janitor for their own minions after a Make Way for the New Villains-type takeover, or the hero being forced into servitude in a Bad Future.
Edited by Scorpion451^ Thing is, I was there back when the TLP draft was made, and the draft maker insists (for no good reason) that it has to be a defeated villain.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaThe trope page specifies villain, but since Tropes Are Flexible, we should be able to claim your example under Defeat Means Menial Labor as a variation or an inversion. At worst you might need to suggest a page edit if somebody contests the example and you end up in an Edit War.

A bully or a bad guy defeated the hero (or one of the good guys) and forced him to work for said bully/bad guy.
I thought Defeat Means Menial Labor can fit, but reading the description, it cannot.
Do we have this?
