I Resemble That Remark! is more about denying that you are a certain way in a way that is Not Helping Your Case. But I think it's the closest thing we have to ^^.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.

When somebody accidentally insults themselves when trying to make a point, maybe paired with a realization when they catch it out. Example, from The Mysterious Benedict Society: "I'm not as stupid as I look!"
