Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
The title of an ATT thread (and similar systems here) are always links to single-thread mode, so they cannot be used to link elsewhere. YMMV.Coronation Street provided as a courtesy for other tropers interested in reviewing the issue at hand.
~Jason ZZ 44 Z is the one who added the example in question, apparently having trouble with markup. ~Caring Guy appears to have an objection to this trope's applicability to the work and left a rude edit reason when removing it. No edit war yet, so discussion is encouraged. Caring Guy doesn't seem to know how to wick properly, based on their edit reason.
Unrelated, ~@Commander BLAARGH added natter with improper Example Indentation. Applicable notifiers sent.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Ok guys- crazysamaritan, I've spoken to you already. As for you, Erin, what edits are you talking about? Wait, are you talking about the removal of the Woobies? Because that wasn't you, I don't think, and also, this "s" business- surely you need to message the user, i.e. me, who made the mistake, rather than just putting a comment that I'd be unlikely to know it was addressed to me. Anyway, are you talking about this Pat Phelan business? Well, I don't think that was you, BUT surely his crimes couldn't have been redeemable, by any stretch of the imagination?
Um... it's alternative character interpretation. Just because you don't think it's right for a section of the fanbase to find a character redeemable, doesn't mean it's not valid to have on the page if that's how fans feel. Like, C'mon, man.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessFirst of all, where do you come into this? :S And if it comes to that, we could write a whole list of AC Is, but anyway, please explain to me how someone could imagine he was redeemable? I know other people have interpretations, but I don't get that one at all
I come into it because this is a public forum where I got curious and wanted to see what was actually going on.
Also, it's called Draco in Leather Pants.
Edited by WarJay77 Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOh, I just realised where you were coming from, Erin, about the unnecessary edits I mentioned- yeah, I didn't mean you, again, I meant the guy who deleted all those Woobies examples, who for some reason, his ideas have been accepted across this wiki
Wait, that guy you're talking about is Master Joseph, yeah? They're doing work for the Woobie Cleanup thread...
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessSome YMMV tropes have an ongoing project thread that determines applicability. Any edits involving The Woobie should have an edit reason linking to this thread.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Yes, Master Joseph. And yeah, I know, but why, for example, were Max and Lily removed from the Woobie list? They lost their mum, for crying out loud! And why was Jake from Series 1 of Outnumbered, who was bullied, and then thought his parents were splitting taken off.
^ I don't know, take it to the thread and find out, maybe?
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI have, multiple times.
User caringguy has had an issue with improper indentations, poor spelling and deleting examples without any reason. I've let him know that in order to properly apply a spoiler that you need to use a small case "s", but was ignored. Just recently, I did some edits to the page, only for him to complain about the context of an example, delete it and call the edits I've made "unnecessary".
