Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Yes. Any image changes should be followed up with an agreement from an Image Pickin' thread, and this applies to the original poster as well. Being the OP does not grant them any sort of power over what images they want to change.

- If the new image is just a higher-quality version of the old image
- If the old image was put there by obvious mistake (for example, if an image for a FIFA game is put on a page for a Dark Souls game) and is being replaced by the correct image. In this case there should be an edit reason explaining the reason for the change
That was me changing the image on HeroicBSOD.Western Animation from this:
To this, which Crossover-Enthusiast suggested in an IP thread that closed without consensus, but I agree that it shows the "freeze-up" better while the image I originally added could be mistaken for mere disgust/shock.

If you added the image in the first place (without starting an IP thread, that is) and it hasn't been too long (like no more than a week or so), you can probably get away with swapping it out for something else, especially if the page doesn't get a lot of traffic.
Edited by PrimisWhat Primis said. The first consideration is "is the image (change) good for the article?"
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDoes that mean I can change it back?
Keet cleanupSince a mod said it's OK, I changed it back.

If a page's image is changed by the person who added the original image in the first place, does it still count as being changed without discussion?
