T He best way to describe this is through examples. About half an hour in to Return of the Jedi, the heroes relatively easily kill Boba Fett and Jabba the Hutt. About 10 minutes in to Return of the King in uncut scenes, Sauraman is killed off. About 10 minutes in to Civil War, Crossbones kills himself off. 10 minutes in to Revenge of the Sith, anakin chops off the head of Dooku, the guy who could match Yoda in the last movie. In Battle of the 5 armies, it takes about 10 minutes to kill Smaug. And if you look at it from T Hanos's perspective, about 10 minutes in to the movie, he manages to snap the neck of Loki, a character who has been a cause of great failure to him.
The heroes manage to easily kill a major villain from the last movie relatively easily, and get on with dealing with the REAL problem. Is there a trope for that?
