Seconding. It's suspiciously similar.
EDIT: I removed the thinly-veiled shots at Sarkeesian from the Troubled Production example. It was written as pure character assassination along the lines of "Be a shame if this game failed because Anita Sarkeesian got involved in it".
Edited by NubianSatyressI am not Skid Troper, I don't know who they are. I was also not trying to character assassinate Anita, imply that about the game or say anything antifeminist, I just used the wrong trope. I admit I have mixed feelings about her from some things I've heard but I have no interest in trash-talking her; by the way what's your view of her Nubian Satyress?
By the way, I don't even remember what I said about the kett. As for my edits on the Orville, if Skid Troper has some similar views to me, I can't help that: besides we can get along if we have different views, right?
Edited by SnapTapP.S. All I said about her was that she was controversial and contentious, as in people argue about her; which they do. That is not character assassination.
It was vague and out of place, but I have to side with Snap that it wasn't anywhere near Character Assassination because he never actually said anything bad about her.
It was shoe-horning to call it Executive Meddling, but no personal attacks were made.
As I said in a message to Irrose, I only used the Executive Meddling trope because the high-ups in Bioware and EA would've had to have approved Anita's visit. I misused that trope by mistake and I'm sorry.
I find it suspicious how you like to selectively word your responses Snap. First of all, my feelings on Sarkeesian are not relevant, so I'm not getting into that.
Second you said to me elsewhere "it's true that Sarkeesian visited because she said so on Twitter".Odd that you'd phrase it that way. Whether or not Sarkeesian visited is not in question. What's in question is whether her visit caused tensions with the staff. And on that note, I did digging and the only source I found that claimed such was one article by One Angry Gamer who got his information from a video by Legacy Killa on Youtube who starts by calling Sarkeesian "hypocritical" and describes her as someone who "pushes misinformation". Said video also fails to provide any substantial proof by Bioware employees; he claims that he spoke to an "anonymous source", but all we have to go by on that is his word. But if one checks out the entirety of the video, it's pretty damn clear that Legacy Killa created it mainly as yet ANOTHER rant about Sarkeesian. Also, the aforementioned One Angry Gamer article later added a tag that reads: "[Note: The information has not been confirmed by any named sources at Bio Ware Edmonton and should be taken with a grain of salt.]"
That little tag is peachy and all, but that makes the entire article misinformation. I could write an article that claims Jared Leto sleeps in a clown bikini and add a tag stating that my information "hasn't been confirmed". By leaving an unconfirmed article that has ZERO sources to back it up, the article is making character assassination. And so are we if we're parroting claims that they started.
Even worse is the fact that you bloated said example with "rumors" and speculation as to what MAY happen if the game isn't commercially successful—neither of which belong in a trivia trope. Combined with the above, that entire segment amounts to "Anita Sarkeesian visited the studio and it's a bad thing. By the way, be a shame if the game bombed."
Also, the overly-polite way tone you use combined with the way that you ask others to refute YOUR claims rather than offer corroboration of your own is definitely Skid Troper-esque.
Edited by NubianSatyressYeah, I'm not buying the denials here. Adios.
Nubian Satyress, I am not this Skid Troper guy. I don't know how I can prove I'm not him. I've had a look into this guy and I understand where you got the idea from but I'm not him. Why do you hate him so much anyway?
I'll be blunt with you. I've seen a few of your trope activities as well (such as in Fallout 4) and I've seen your style of discussion. I'm trying to be civil because those are the rules on this site. Are you hoping to annoy me into lashing out at you so the moderators will ban me or something? I get the impression you're trying to choose your words carefully as well, as if you want to say other things to me but the rules of this site are holding you back.
I think we have different views on things, such as the anti-religion message on the Orville, but I may be wrong. You can stalk me if you still think I'm a ban evader or not, I don't care anymore. I doubt anything I say will convince you otherwise. For everyone else reading this, I am not Skid Troper.
@ Shoboni: I'd consider it character assassination based on the fact that (with no backing) he claimed that the visit had a negative effect, and just including the visit was a sign of Troubled Production.
It's passive aggressive as hell.

Similar IP ranges and near identical editing history made the likelihood of sockpuppetry high.
Given one of his edit reasons is alluding to how hard it is to edit on a phone, I'd imagine that he was on a different Wi-Fi than his home, possibly for this exact reason.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."We need moderator approval before we can revert the edits of a ban evader. We can' revert them unilaterally just because they've given permission for previous ban evaders.
That said, do we have permission to revert their Snap Tap edits?
I mean, most of them are bad edits. If they're something that would be zapped anyway (or even are borderline), they don't get extra protection because they were done by a ban evader.

Is snaptap a ban evasion account for Skid Troper? Snaptap made several edits on The Orville and The Orville complaining about that show's anti-religious messages. Skid Troper made similar edits on the various Mass Effect: Andromeda pages. Speaking of that game, snaptap's first edits were on the Andromeda pages and concerned the kett characters, which Skidtroper frequently edited about.
He also added in a shoehorned example of Executive Meddling in Anthem 2018 where he stated that media critic Anita Sarkesian (who has no control over the game in question) engaged in meddling. IIRC, Skidtroper was banned for editing with an antifeminist agenda, and Sarkesian is unpopular with that crowd.
I'm really sorry if this is a coincidence, but snaptap's editing patterns are really simliar to Skidtroper's.
