Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
No, it wouldn't. It'd only really be warring if you readded it and WB cut it again.
If you readd it, you could even put in your edit reason not to remove stuff like that without a reason. Whilst that page needs a lot of work on the example indentation front, removing tropes like that without justification isn't good.
Edited by Telcontar That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. The Unfortunate Implications TRS thread came to the decision that uses of Unfortunate Implications now require citation. That may be why he cut it.
Still, TRS decisions should be referenced in an edit reason, no?
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground^ Naturally. I'm just saying that insta-reverting isn't always the best choice.
Could be the result of a bad connection if it was a big bloc of entries. That happens a lot.
What's precedent ever done for us?I know; I've had that happen to me. In my experience, that can break off mid-sentence and usually wipes the remainder of the page, rather than taking out the entirety of a couple tropes and no more. There are also normal edits both above and below the removed sections.
Edited by Telcontar That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Alright, I'll leave the Unfortunate Implications examples off. Is Squick still allowed on YMMV pages? I only visit TRS once in a blue moon.
Wussy Baby cut a chunk of Futurama with no edit reason. Would putting it back be edit warring?
