I tried apostrophes but it’s still not working.

Note that it's not the double quotation mark, but two single quotation marks i.e. a ' followed by another ' (no spaces in between).
(Also make sure you're not using any editor that changes 'plain quotes' into 'smart quotes', like Word. They really need to be plain apostrophes, like this: ' )
