With the note that this is not an accessibly written trope description and I'm partially guessing what it's even about, I would say the problem with the two examples is that they only explain why Monk zeroes in on a suspect and are silent about if he's right or not. The remaining one, at least, does answer that particular question. Deleting them was probably not right, but I also wouldn't put them back without a medium rewrite. Especially that "Monk doesn't know" in the British car example sounds more like it is about the character's worldly knowledge than logic.

Isn't the British Car example not Conviction by Counterfactual Clue instead?

^ It could be. I think we need a little more debate on that.

Suspended because they have multiple notifiers for unexplained deletions, and I noticed that the one their most recent notifier was for (from September) was for YMMV examples (which we're more strict with deletions of), which is also a problem (though they don't have any notifiers specifically for removing YMMV examples; I just made a note of it since the main issue is a lack of edit reasons).

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.

Someone in "Is this an example?" seems to agree that the Morgan example seems to be better suited for Conviction by Counterfactual Clue. I can post it there if there are no objections.

Okay, the example about the Morgan has been moved to Conviction by Counterfactual Clue. Should I bring up the example about the wedding ring as well?
