Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
What you refer to as categories exist to either 1. Distinguish different released of works under the same name 2. Group examples that don't fit in as the main content.
There were at least at least some suggestions to make a Character Sheets analogue for settings and was discussed here.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWe do have Settings which is a type of index for place and time settings for fictional narratives.
There have been proposals for a Worldbuilding or Setting namespace before, but the consensus has been that there's nothing we can put there that can't already be put on the main work page. The setting isn't usually separable from the works set in it, with the risible exception of things like tabletop RPG campaign settings.

Not sure where else I could post this but I figured bringing it to attention was worth a shot.
While this site has an abundance of different categories such as Fanfic, Anime, Western Animation, characters, etc, I've noticed that there's no direct category that pertains to the world the entire series takes place in.
We have many tropes that pertain to world building, but no direct tab that simply focuses on properly listing the world and major locations within any franchise popular enough to get its own tropes page
So I wanted to pitch an idea for a simple Worldbuilding category that expands on that.
