As your friendly neighborhood Admin Team, the gang here at TVTropes HQ is always working to improve the site.
Many of those improvements begin with suggestions posted right here, on the Community Wishlist. Is there a feature you really want on TVTropes? Post it.
Is there something we could be doing better? We want to know. Do you think we look fat in these pants? We were totally afraid of that. See a bug? Report it.
Important things to know:
- We're all about that content-creation life! The top contenders for our attention are ideas that'll create more content, like the video uploading feature, or speed up launching new pages. On the flip side, design or layout tweaks won't be our top priority.
- Help us dig through the goldmine of old wishlist items! If you have an old request gathering dust or spot one you're totally on board with, give it a bump and a like. There's a treasure trove of 6+ years' worth of ideas just waiting to be rediscovered. Items without enough love may not make the cut and will be closed.
- Was your wishlist item locked up without an explanation? It was most likely disapproved or just too big of a task versus the benefit it would ultimately have. Time is precious, and we want to focus on updates with the biggest bang for the buck. Don't be discouraged though! We appreciate every idea and we're always listening.
Yea a namespace where you could put a map of the the fictional world / city / dimension etc is an interesting idea and something i could implement fairly easily if it was something you just upload yourself. As far as being ale to do it on tropes, I'm not sure if there's some sort of plugin or API that would allow users to create their own. I'll look into it.
I wonder if this idea could get more support or just more namespace ideas. Hopefully more come along with their opinions.

Discovered that there was a similar proposal
for Setting/ before.
For maps, I guess it's interesting. If we upload images for characters, it's probably not a bad idea to have illutrations of the setting as well. Image Links probably can work for it already though.
New namespaces are more of a Wiki Talk thing since they don't require technical fixes.
Interactive maps however, if approved, like this one would need some consideration on how to make them possible.
Yeah, if you are proposing a new namespace you need to make a Wiki thread for it. That's where namespace discussions go. If the new space is approved, we can discuss namespace icons.

This is probably never gonna happen, but what if there was a 🌎Setting/note or 🗺️Map/ namespace where like on FANDOM,
Tropers could submit/create a Fantasy World Map of a respective work or verse that lists areas of various episodes/installments/factions. It would be pretty tricky to implement, but it would be awesome!
